  1. Saw Jeremy's car (And the man himself.) today. :D
  2. Bought some stuffs today & discussed with Jeremy. Will hand it to him tomorrow. :)
  3. my parents have a sportivo.. they wanted the top of the line one..but the wouldnt get it cause of that ugly wood i dont know anyone who would enjoy driving around in a car with wood trims seriously I guess some people want a sporty-style car (Better handling, sporty looks & etc.), while some want something comfortable & luxurious (More refined, premium feel & etc.). All down to personal preferences at the end of the day. As the current ES is no longer sold in RHD markets, the Presara fills in the void left by the Lexus ES in Australia (At a cheaper price too. The last gen ES downunder from what I could remember, retailed under $90k or thereabouts.).
  4. While I actually like the facelift, Toyota shouldn't have remove the side rubbing strips, looks kinda empty (I'd get the SEA Camry's side rubbing strip if I were to get a Presara.). For a top of the line model, hope the facelifted Presara come with more things, like Dynamic Radar Cruise Control, Pre Crash Safety & LED Ambient Lighting (Like the Thai Camry 3.5Q). Would be nice if the 2009 Sportivo ZR6 model had factory HID & Plasmacluster came with the Automatic Climate Control though. Here's the Thai Genuine Accessories page, most which can be fitted to the Aussie Aurions-> http://www.toyota.co.th/th/models/camry/ca...9_accessory.asp Also, just wondering, can a Presara be specified with Ivory or Beige interior?
  5. I guess you could always add in a replacement LED bulb or do a LED Circuit Board DIY (Pic below).
  6. Here's what I found. They are from Taiwan (Depo). Screenshots from the PDF
  7. Well, almost. Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load! Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!Wish they used a normal beep though, those video game-like sounds might get annoying after a while. Speaking of video games, duck hunt comes to mind. :D
  8. For those who are curious, the Caska IPA feature is not a self parking system like the JDM Toyota one (Fitted to some cars since 2000.). It is similar to the JDM Toyota parking line, but with, from what I can see, parking sensor integration (Not sure if it is for aftermarket or OEM sensors though.). Would be interesting to see if the Caska IPA could be used with other brands or the OEM Toyota units.
  9. I actually have been researching on the Clazzio ones, while good (They don't look like the K Mart ones.), it seems that their range is limited (None for the older cars like my RAV4.). I guess most would be paying more for the brand (They're Japanese.) than the covers itself. Please check your PM. :)
  10. I'm doing Commerce, majoring in Strategic Procurement. Lots of hot Asian chicks there (Though typical of me, I'm always shy.). Psychology eh? I'm guessing that you might know Asep?
  11. I received a response from the 11i-usa guys and the price of these seat covers is US$500 plus US120 shipping, but they advised that they're not sure if these seats covers will fit my ZRE because they designed them to fit the left hand drive corolla in the US and never sold them to an Australian customer before. I am not sure what differences are there between the seats of the US corolla and ours and don't want to risk spending that kind of money to find-out they don't fit :( Ouch, that totals up to $620 US dollars. I guess it could be the driver's height adjustment knob, which would be the passenger seat here in Australia. Looks like it would still be a safer & cheaper option to source from a RHD country in South East Asia.
  12. Welcome to the club. More WAins are joining TOCAU. Woohoo!
  13. As far as I know, me, Jeremy, Kenneth, Both Jasons & Tinno study at Curtin. I might have missed out on a few more though.
  14. I guess you could use this, but that would mean drilling a hole into the inner taillight. If you're after proper leather seats, I would suggest aftermarket from overseas (There are a lot of leather seat companies in Malaysia, Thailand & Singapore, which might be cheaper.). Might not be an easy DIY though (Most replace the fabric, not covers.). As an alternative, you can try the Clazzio covers (Links below. They have one for the 09 -onwards Corolla). http://www.11i-usa.com/tekigou/corolla_02.html http://www.yarisworld.com/forums/showthread.php?t=11925 http://www.club-tc.com/forums/interior-ite...zzio-seats.html http://www.clubxb.com/forums/f60/clazzio-s...hers-25991.html http://www.scionlife.com/forums/showthread.php?t=143029 http://importsnc.com/forums/part-reviews/4...html#post990897
  15. Ignore the Hybrid Synergy Drive badge, blue Toyota Hybrid front emblem & light blue headlight housing and you get the facelift model. http://www.autowereld.com/autonieuws/fotog...sp?artikel=8687 Source: http://www.netcarshow.com/toyota/2009-auri...hybrid_concept/
  16. That would be a Corolla Altis with an engine swap (Like this car.), as Thailand never got the option of a 2ZZ officially (Only two options, the 1.6 3ZZ or 1.8 1ZZ.).
  17. Just wondering, where in Thailand are you planning to go to? As the hatchback body style isn't offered in Thailand (Not even as a JDM import. Most South East Asian markets have a preference for sedans over hatchbacks.), some Corolla Altis parts will fit, while some won't. General parts like bulbs, badges, LED wing mirror housings, HID kits (Not headlights or taillights, the 2001 - 2007 SEA Corolla Altis have totally different front & rear ends.), gear shift knobs & stubby antenna should be fine. I'm not an expert on the Corolla Sportivo, but I'm guessing that some Celica engine parts may be compatible as they share the 2Z-GE. You might want to ask people in Altis-Club & Wish-Mania (I know there's one English speaking member from Bangkok on W-M.) as they would know better.
  18. Here's what they look like. More photos here-> http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2704...mp;l=6d8a9cb245 Also, couple of months back, Toyota Thailand launched a special version called the 1.6 SS-I, with extra equipment, one of them being taillights with clear indicators (instead of the amber ones.).
  19. Clean car. I'd have to agree with the others on the chrome taillight surrounds. I guess it would look nicer if the trim was thinner, so that it looks as if it was part of the taillight (Something like the 3rd gen Lexus ES330). Speaking of taillights, the Thai / Taiwanese version (Corolla Altis) have LEDs in them, though they look exactly the same as the rest of the world. If you're going for the Corolla Altis theme, may I suggest adding the OEM side skirts, chrome strips on the grille & chrome + color-coded/ color-coded side rubbing strips to complete the look (Pics below.). btw, I remember reading some of your post in the Xtrail section of the Malaysian Motor Trader Forum (The name sounded familiar.). :)
  20. Spotted on Bungaree Road (I think.) 1CD *Something* xxx White Corolla Sportivo (Facelift) with HIDs. Does it belong to anyone here on TOCAU?
  21. Saw a silver Toyota Altezza @ Parry's Avenue. Had aftermarket wheels, aftermarket front bumper & a debadged rear trunk lid. Could either be a personal import or a first gen Lexus IS with an Altezza grille. Looks really nice!
  22. Was browsing around Toyota Australia's accessories page and noticed that the Follow Me navigation system is no longer on the page. Just wondering, is the unit currently discontinued and are they going release a new/ updated model? TF
  23. Woohoo! Another WAian! Welcome to the club. :)
  24. I'll have to give this one a miss too. Man, I've been missing out on a lot lately...
