  1. Nice shots! Your photos make me miss BKK. My dad was based there for four years. Used to hang out in the Auto Gallery section of Siam Paragon waiting for my dad at the end of his work days.
  2. Welcome to the club. Don't have one, but Alphards & Estimas are popular where I come from. heheh Is your Alphard a black one with mods? That's the only one that I know of down under (Saw it on Carsales once.), there may be another one or two here in Australia. You're very lucky to have an Alphard here, as they can only be brought in as a personal import (Any car not on the SEVS list can be brought in as one.).
  3. nano.RIPE - Omokage Warp (Hanasaku Iroha 2nd OP)
  4. Welcome to the club. That's really nice for a first car. :D Just wondering, are you getting a JDM Toyota Ipsum 240S full kit or an aftermarket one?
  5. Here's a review of a US-spec LE (Base model for consumers). The fleet special is the 'L'.) http://www.clublexus.com/forums/car-chat/593451-test-drove-the-2012-camry.html Not bad, considering that it is a base model. Hope Toyota Australia doesn't skimp out on the Optitron gauges this time (We never got that option down under since Gen5.).
  6. Need to source an interior part for one of my design assignment. Hope I can get a cheap one here in WA.

  7. Oh yeah, thought of including the Lotus here, I should have done that lol. Would love to see the Avensis Wagon here in Australia (Available in New Zealand & Japan since the previous gen., imported from the UK.), would make a nice replacement for the Corolla & Camry wagon (The Avensis slots in the middle of those two.). The Aurion/ Camry is only sold in some parts of Eastern Europe since gen 6, so it isn't really a core model in the main European lineup (e.g. The Camry & Highlander isn't listed on the main European page, but is listed on the Russian page.). Might have to wait for a motor show in the Eastern parts for its debut (e.g. Russia, where the facelifted Highlander/ Kluger first made its appearance.).
  8. Thanks. I guess I should be able to find prepsol or the local equivalent there. Do we soak the adhesive between the emblem & body with prepsol for removal? I did suggest that, but my parents were quite busy and in a rush at the time. So thought I might try fixing that myself when I'm back.
  9. 3 -4 months back, my dad sent his car to the shop for a full repaint. When he got the car back, he didn't realize that the rear emblems were in the wrong place, till I flew back and noticed it. I was just wondering if it will be safe to remove and reapply them to the correct areas (When I'm back in 2-3 months.). Just don't want the paint to be ruined or anything like that. Also, as we live in an apartment, a heatgun/ hairdrier is out. Would hot boiling water be good enough to soften the adhesive before flossing them off? Picture below for reference. 'G' emblem was misplaced to the right (Red line), while the 'L' emblem was misplaced to the left (Yellow line)
  10. FT-86 II [Concept Car]- In a new color & some upgrades. Wished they showed a near-production interior, teasing the basic shape of what we can expect to see. 11. That's the parking/ side/ running light. Are you planning to go for the facelift headlights? The facelift model headlights have a separate high & low beam which will require some work on the wiring side.
  12. Finally decided to get the RAV4 tinted, booked it in for it to be done on Friday. Still need to chase down insurance to fix the poor car though.
  13. JDM Camry released http://toyota.jp/camry/index.html http://paultan.org/2011/09/05/new-generation-toyota-camry-hybrid-launched-in-japan/ Similar styling to the Ukranian/SEA Camry/Soon-to-be-relased Aurion, but Hybrid only for Japan. Grades: Hybrid (Base) Hybrid 'G Package' Hybrid 'Leather Package' Modellista kit http://toyota.jp/customize/camry/index.html Dealer option accessories-> http://toyota.jp/camry/007_p_001/dop/ Random fact: Since the Gen5 Camry, the JDM market only had a single engine & transmission choice (2.4L Non-Hybrid/Auto) and two drivetrain choices (2WD/4WD), leaving the V6 range to the Windom (Lexus ES300/330) till 2006.
  14. Welcome to the club! That's a nice Blade Master! Have seen the JDM-spec HDD Navi units on Toyota Japan's website & Yahoo Japan Auctions. Those things are nice, should have gotten one of those back in Malaysia instead of my current Chinese generic brand unit. Just curious, is the hard disk upgradeable to a higher capacity one? Most of the JDM units I see on the net come with a 40GB HDD. Wished Australia would loosen up with the import restrictions, would love to see more variety as a consumer.
  15. The Malaysian-spec Camry have the port-installed front sensors nearby the front grille. You could probably do something like that but lower (Refer to red dot.), or make some sort of bracket that is angled slightly downwards to the ground and mount the sensors to them (Yellow dot in attached photo.).
  16. And here's the Chinese/ Taiwanese/ SEA version, similar to the Eastern European version, but with a different front bumper & grille design. Also, notice the absence of wood trim, indicating a base model. Source: http://www.chinacartimes.com/2011/08/25/chinese-camry-to-look-a-little-different-to-its-american-cousin/
  17. Camry for Eastern Europe, Japan & Asia has been revealed. This would most likely be our Aurion. Looks a little more Lexus-like. http://www.autoblog.com/2011/08/25/toyota-ukraine-reveals-new-camry-for-other-parts-of-the-world/
  18. The kit looks like a Bomex-style one. Few RAV4 world members have it on their cars if I'm not mistaken. The sunvisor and rear 12V could be sourced second hand from the wrecking yard, or you can also try Yahoo Japan Auctions. If you can, try to get hold of them from the facelift model, being newer and that most parts are interchangeable between the pre & post-facelift RAV4.1. You can probably convert the cubbyhole area to accommodate a 2DIN unit, though that would mean relocating the 12V outlet somewhere else. Speaking of which: http://rav4world.com/index/cupholder.html Oh, and here's rear parcel shelf DIY http://www.rav4world.com/forums/94-4-1-d-i-y-modifications/80631-diy-rear-parcel-shelf-2.html
  19. You could probably try wrecking yards if you're after body parts or you can source new ones off eBay if you don't mind non-OEM (Loads of them from the US.). Oh, and here's something for the RAV4.1 http://www.rav4world.com/forums/94-4-1-d-i-y-modifications/59992-response-all-3s-ge-3s-gte-conversion.html Enjoy your new car!
  20. Bloody impatient ***** speeding in the car park. Lucky I didn't have to see the airbag pop out in front of me, or else the outcome could have been worse.

  21. And here's a teaser of the SE (American-spec Sportivo). The same red car from the headlight teaser video in other words.
  22. Loose parking brake handle. Something to worry about?

  23. In the case of the PS & PS2, they need to have a mod chip installed to play import games. I wish my old PS brick didn't go missing. I miss playing the J-NTSC version of GT2, with the Japanese-market car names and nicer in-game soundtracks. Oh yeah, GT4: Prius Trial Version is another one to go for, it's basically GT4 Prologue, but with one car (2G Prius G Touring Selection), one track (Tsukuba Circuit) and a Prius Promo Video. These were originally given out by Toyota dealers in Japan at the time.
