  1. i bought mine with 4000km's on it as a demo 1 yr ago its a 07 sx6 sportivo i bought it for $35,000 with free towbar, window tint, and interior and exterior protection as off feb this yr wanted to trade it on a new one and it now has 43,000km's on the clock and all id get for it was $24-$26,000. pfft whats the point might as well wait till shes vintage now. cheers stewy
  2. i wish that was the case i cant trust anyone in darwin that i know anymore and people who i dont know as well. ive been in darwin just ova one yr and heres a list of what we have had done to our property in that time. No. 1 my missus 02 lancer got broken into and ran sacked No. 2 (and the worst of all) 2 of my race bikes got flogged which were right next to my car and chained up all up $30,000 worth (they were 2 ktm 450 race quads) No.3 the amount of crap that gets thrown on them in the car park and at the shopping centres is absolutley ridiculous. No.4 we live on the first floor of an defence apartment complex and have had used condoms land on our balcony thousands of cigarette butts people belongs that they think they can throw overboard there balcony, beer bottles etc land and smash on our balcony everytime we go out there we have to hose it down or quarantine it. No.5 our cars get spat on and thats if they miss us by the locals and drunks tryin to pilfer money of u then u get that when u say no. this place is aboslutley ridiculous and recommend noone to visit/move here and if it wasnt for the army we wouldnt be here and cant wait till we get to move and its ****s me when i try and have a nice car and it gets ruined by everyone else stewy
  3. no. 1 we hid the keys no.2 she searched everywhere for them no.3 she lived with us for six months b4 hand and we thought she was better than that no.4 why would she lie about it Well, if i were to entrust my car to some1 else, I'd still leave my keys in case of anything should happen that requires him/her to move the car aside. That's not the issue here thou.. Besides it's her fiances sister.. thats exactly why we left them our carpark has over 100 cars in it and thats just the basement carpark level why do i need to take keys with me that i dont need. regarding the 'in case anything should happen that requires move the car", that's wat ur insurance is for.. I would guess the situation is earthquake and the house coming down or a FIRE? i couldnt car less if the whole building fell on it to tell u the truth because yes that what insurance is for, but apart from insurance if my car is damaged then there is no way for me to take my daughter to school or for me to get to work.i cant afford to not have a car and if theres a way around an incident then im all for it. cheers stewy
  4. cheers guys and sorry for the rant jus thought the story might help responses i used to work on trucks running cummins, cat and detriot engines and we could plug in the laptop and retrieve all that sort of data and also change operating perimeters it was really interesting sometimes u could see exactly how a truckie was actually driving the truck so thats why the question was asked. as far as the unit that was seen on today tonight i wish everyday now that it was fitted to mine for this very reason but now wont even worry about due to noone else driving my car besides me and my fiance from now on. and as far as toyota service dep helping me they just looked at me with a blank look and wouldnt let me speak to the service manager or a technician. again cheers guys u know who u can and cannot trust these days next time ill just pay for parking at the airport atleast then i might have a car when i come home. cheers stewy
  5. hey fellas well ova easter me and the family decided to go away for easter interstate. before i left i deatiled my car inside and out she got the works. while we were away we entrusted my fiances sister to look after the cat and check on the cars everyday (very cautious since my quads got flogged). while we were away we had a fone call saying sauce bottles had been thrown at both our cars and both cars had sauce all ova them and smashed glass around them (i was ****** just with that) so she asked if we could tell her were the keys were to move them and wash them for us missus thought no worries and told her that was the last we heard of it all. we get home now and need to go get some shopping we go to get in my car and the battery is that flat that not even the security led was flashin or it wouldnt unlock. further investigation found me seeing all the rear view mirrors moved, seat right forward (shes a short *****) and upon opening the boot found my twin 12'' subs and box upside down and the wiring pull out from the connectors (now im really ******). so we rang her and asked if they had driven it "oh no wasnt me i just moved them to wash them" thats a lie because my missus car was still filthy from the dust etc and had spider webs from the ground to wheels and mine was a little dusty too. the other thing i noticed was the handbrake was on which i never use and there was a substantle amount of oil sprayed up around the front guards and not the rears or any where else on the car even the inside of the rims are clean and shiny, My conclusion trying to get it too do burnouts with oil. so anyway we left it that but has now esculated into a full family inlaw arguement u get the picture. what i want too know is does the aurion ecu have a datalogging capability eg records max revs, max speed, and fuel usage and any other info i can get my hands. cheers guys sorry for the family post but its important. cheers stewy
  6. i bought my aurion with 4000km's on it as demo its now down 38,000km's and is ova a yr old, its down atleast 8000km's on hard gravel rds here in the nt in the wet season and dry season. i havent had a problem at all with my lowered pedders springs mated with the standard shocks also fitted with the pedders caster eccentric bolts. the only thing that does annoy me a bit about mine is it started out as 42mm lower than standard and is now 50mm lower and is a pain in the butt with speed humps and every other tiny bump id say atleast 80% of the time i drive it in shopping centre carparks it scraps maccas drive thru it scraps, and the front bar and large exhaust tips are looking worst for wear as well as the chassis rails. as far as a creaking noise or squeak i have had none and have like i say driven it in both wet season and dry seasons. all my shocks all round are still workin perfectly fine and atleast 2 times a fortnight have a large trailer or boat attached.
  7. did about 900kms in mine with a car trailer and car on the back did it peice of ***** but forget hills as u would anyway and stay outa 5th gear even the smallest hill then slows it down not to forget the stress it puts on the box but other than that plenty of torque to pull van around cheers stewy
  8. 58,000kms ***** what happened to her
  9. i think most of us allready know that u cant do much to improve the intake on an aurion but all most of us want to do is change the intake and other components for **** factor. I know i do who wouldnt haha
  10. sounds like a wee little earth problem to me has it done it since the tray was done or after time. pull the taillights off and get a test light and check and make sure each wire is hooked up to the correct terminal for the correct light eg reen/red to right indicator from memery but check on a diagram. if tailights are of the bayonet style globe i'd ***** them of and get some led's even cheap ones are better than the other crapthen all u gotta do is change your flasher unit to a low voltage or "led flasher'' to slow down the flash rate due to the lights needing less voltage to run. stewy
  11. hell yeah i go to sydney on monday until the 5th of jan so we can have a chat anytime until monday lunch if ya want or when i get back life is so hectick right now haha
  12. i definately enjoyed the throaty noise that mine had after the pipe come of guess im goin straight to bridge toyota tomoorow and ordering it looks like it would bolt straight on with no mods hey
  13. yeah it is weird it jerks of line a little when it does aquaplain and does the same when it comes back either way i like. i changed the clamps today to some of those staino ones used on intercooler piping etc they should hold it.
  14. Today went for a bit of a cruise to the smoko shop at lunch. it was rainin but other than that stinkin hot well i give her a bit of a boot in 2nd gear and it did a little sneeze thru the inlet and then inlet noise was a bit louder (although it sounded sweet) worshop was only round the corner drove back lifted the bonnet and the inlet pipe had actually popped of from between the airfilter and the throttle body ( the section that joins to the airbox) suprised me a little thinking why did it do it i have givin a burst from time to time and has never thought of doin it b4. just wondering if anyones had something similiar or might know a reason but im not fussed about it anyways. An on another note on monday 15th december i was again driving along and for the first time ever since i have been driving i hit quite a decent puddle (remembering its the wet season here in darwin) and the aurion aqua plained pretty bad. Now i pretty much gripped the seat with my rear end but unsuprisingly i felt the car slow quite quickly and steered itself straight back towards the road from veering of to the left handside. My conclusion to this is its obvious that the vsc (vehicle stability control) did its job by braking the drivers side front and rear wheels sensing a significant wheel speed difference from left to right. all i can say is im happy i was in my aurion and not my lux i would ended up on my side in the mud cheers stewy
  15. what about the steering shaft extension and maybe even the fuel filler adaptor mainly for the dualcab versions and does the metal brake lines stretch enough to take a 2'' body lift properly especially on the front driver side. cheers stewy
  16. $4000 cheaper man what was the busso lot gonna charge ya u can buy a new gearbox for one of those for like $5000. they good fellas and will do a stella job on it for ya.
  17. yeah i dont know anyone in busso besides my whole family but no parts guys or earbox gurros but u could get the parts thru damien and leeandda as well up to u though. cheers stewy
  18. i think i got the pioneer one i will check tomorrow and put up the stats for ya
  19. sure is i mean if it was mid year yeah it would have still hurt but not as much as now as everyone knows all bills come at xmas. we are goin to sydney for xmas to stay with the inlaws and now we have $3000 less in our spending money which only leaves us with about 2000 which doesnt go far between 3 people and the holiday costings. it just not cricket we did have abit of a lead on the weekend one of my mates reported seeing one of the bikes wheelie past his house so i was out there faster than the shirt went on my back but other than seeing some tyre tracks that couldve been ours (prob about 100 bikes with the same tyres) we didnt witness anything else. we got about 5 residents saying it was a race style quad but u dont know until u see sometimes. we searched all weekend thru the bush and the street still nothing in that area, couldve come from 30 odd kms away so back playing the waiting game again. 09 was gonna be a reasonably big season 4 me as i was entering the finke desert race and doin as many national meets as possible and if i could get the sponsors the aussie safari but not gonna have a season at all now theres no way i can afford 2 new bikes and entry and travel to each race. oh well atleast i get to save money this year stewy
  20. hey mate were abouts in south west are ya i used to live in bunbury and got all my hilux gear done at a very good price from damien and leeannda at bunbury transmission and driveline specilists on stuart st bunbury those guys know there ***** and and are straight up with ya if they say it needs doin or u can get away with it they'll tell ya if ya go in there say stewy with the hiluxs said hi cheers stewy
  21. i got 2 12'' subs in a sealed box that fits neatly between the rear wheel arches in the boot on the back of that i have 2 amps mounted on it one runs both the subs and the other runs all the standard car speakers from the standard head unit and works a treat. If i do crank the volume almost all the way up with the interior lights on u can just see them dimming at idle but how many times do i do that, never, i hardly ever get it above 15 on the volume control and thats pretty loud and bassy. i can get the stats on my amps and subs if u would like but the whole lot when i bought it a year ago was $1600 so im assuming from that i must be half decent. ( unless they pineappled me lol) cheers stewy
  22. cheers guys for ya comments im hoping (and this might sound a little harsh to some people) but i hope they die when they crash them its the only thing that will make me and my partner feel a little happier anyway ill see how we go keep ya's posted cheers stewy
  23. Hey guys just a bit of a disappointing update as of tuesday 2nd december both my 2008 ktm 450 race quads pictured below were stolen from the aj towers in Darwin from the basement carpark. Carpark was suposedly secure with a swip tag style rolladoor but its down fall was the fact that it only had pool fencing as its surrounding on the south side which was too easily unbolted and they removed a whole panel therefore pushing both quads away. So far no leads but the stupid coppers (no offence to coppers that actually help) didnt even come and finger print my car which was parked less that 300mm away from them (just enough to open door and get in). Nothing else was stolen from my area i have 5000 grand worth of tools sitting right behind the quads to the point were they had to manovoure around it to get them out plus all my race accseories and a full set of geniune aurion sportivo wheels as well obviously they only wanted one thing. Both bikes were chained twice although only galvinised 12mm chain and 2 big padlocks, it didnt even make a difference just bolt cutted thru the lot. Bikes retail at $15,000 each so right now some **** wit is riding around on $30,000 worth of race quads, and to top it of we are up for $3000 to cover the excess on insurance although better than 30 grand still has screwed my daughters, missus and my xmas good and proper. My daughter (5) was extremely upset and was balling her eyes out worried on who was goin to ride with her when shes on her bike now mine are gone. At the end of the day when and if i do find any of the ***** suckers that did thieve them ill promise them/u i will break there legs and maybe even there necks to the point were they cant even scratch there **** anymore. I promise u. Thanks guys for reading my bitch but it ****s me to tears when thats my hard earned cash gone with a click of my fingers and the worst part was seeing the little one cry.
  24. heres mine mate 235/35/18's i think the chrome rims really set the carribean blue off
  25. yeah i got them mate originally when i put the 18's on nearly a year ago now i had 30's on it and they were really quiet they were yokohamas but now i got 35's on and are really noisy i was actually considering taking them back, in a straight line there horrible and luckily dont get noisier when i hit a corner cant remember the brand but will post that tomorrow they do grip really well though in the wet and dry and is pretty hard to get them to spin of the line.
