  1. haha cheers for findin that mate lol i did it again bout 2 weeks ago again with the 18's and i know that my speedo is out at 110km/h by about 5km/h so with that said the speedo did say 250kmh as the speed limiter hit in so again im guessin it was more like 240km/h but i got my standard wheels on at the moment sooooooo....
  2. AGE: 26 SEX: Male STATUS: Totally taken with a great 4yr old daughter REASONS FOR BUYING: Needed another car cause my 4bys are in the shed still bein heavily modified. Mum said i should get another 4by cause i lived in the Pilbara of wa but i said no cause it end up in the shed next to the other 4bys coppin a v8 or somethin insane. Plus i wanted somethin a little different other than falcons and commodores and the aurion beats those in power, looks and economy so it was dead easy choice plus i cant modify as much as my 4bys get cause i hate low cars but that didnt stop me lowering it and puttin 18's on it but thats it i promise no more mods.......... FOR NOW lol
  3. what do u mean losing your clutch do u mean as though its losing hydraulic pressure or is it slipping and burning it out
  4. hmmm who knows then id run around to the car audio joint good chance they wouldve had one apart for a taxi or somethin
  5. i think its like most stereo surrounds just grab hold of it a give it a yank usaly they got compressin clips behind them then it should be a matter of four bolts holding the unit in
  6. is that all lol ive done 25000km's in 7 months lol but i did drive 10,000 of that in 2 weeks from down south to darwin lol back to topic mine drinks it but i flog it too
  7. dieing is a bit harsh i think, i think we all did stupid things on our p plates showing of etc thinking we are invicible some have the unfortunate event of learning the hard way then not having the chance to learn again and yeah what about the por crew in the other car
  8. and that is why i love toyotas so much evrything to me is so easy and staright forward from car to car no big differances
  9. hiaces have the falcon stud pattern which is also the same as the 2000ish camrys maybe the same still and its also the same as the aurions the only thing u gotta check is the offset to make sure they dont scrub when turning and also hit the wheel arch lip on suspension compression.
  10. oooooooo i cant wait till i see this im in meekathara at the moment with the aussie safari so i wont be back until end of the month but we will def be lining them up on the dragstrip ofcourse hehe the other option we could do soloman isi will strap mine to the dyno which is stock besides 2 staino mufflers and then strap yours down and see what the diff is and post those readouts but like i say itll be a couple of weeks yet
  11. damn it im headin to the aussie safari rite now for 2 weeks so i gotta wait that long to see it oh well pics will have to do good luck mate
  12. yeah for sure mate as long as i can still work on bikes afterwards lol
  13. thanks Spags, where are you that Pedders quote $400.00 cheaper? Thats only if you don't mind answering!! Kalgoorlie mate.. Sourced springs from Tyrepower $350.. Ultratune to fit $200. and then alignment at Ian Diffen if needed for $40 done deal! thats without the camber kit... I rang pedders myself, the guy said hes done aurions and not needed the kit.. So for now i decided against it. thats all i paid as well, although im a mechanic and got them at trade price and i also got the camber bolts so it leveled out to that price i only put the bolts in to "cover my *****" so to speak. hey spags ill have to come and see ya when im in kal next week im comin down for the aussie safari as a support mechanic should be there about wednesday i think ill pm ya when i get there. v8toy
  14. arent all foam filters washable with turps then warm soapy water or a k@n filter cleaning kit
  15. depends what u get some coilovers or most coilovers are outa this world exspensive depends if u wanna a race car or road car and be bothered changing the 10,000 differnet adjustments on them
  16. yeah they probally would but by then i reckon i would be tempted to change them at that time anyway but im runnin the standard shocks aand the work fine on the bumps they rebound nicely so it doesnt jar u in the car and they have enough compression dampning as well ill change mine when they cactus dont see the point until then but thats me hehe
  17. after the millions of foam filters i cleaned and delt with id always put oil on them obviously not so its dripping but enough to keep the dirt out. i seen to many bikes/cars with dusted motors due to no oil on the filter wether a none oilable type or not, not worth the x amount of thousands of dollars in my opinion.
  18. nah they didnt say nothin but i took measurements from the chassis to the ground b4 and after and got around 42-45mm drop pedders only make the one spring for the aurion so i pretty sure it was a sports ryder version. the quality is way better (i think) its obviously stiffer and lower so the ride is much more responsive with turning and accelration and braking is much more predictive thru bumps. if i was u man i wouldnt hesitate to drop it on its **** but hey thats just me i cant have a car thats not modded at all its just not right lol
  19. hmmm not sure about the ecu learning but to reset it i guess u'd have to take it too the dealer and get him to plug his lappy in
  20. thats stupid. what if someone migrated over to a different state! does the service requirements state that it has to be serviced at a dealership? or can it be any approved service centre? i bought mine in jan 08 its now done 25000 and only had one service at 15000 its due now but im gonna do it, it was bought in wa and i live in darwin now and had the 15000 done in darwin and they said it doesnt matter at all which state u live in if its under warranty and u got toyota advantage it can be serviced or at any toyota dealership nation wide, the dealer i bought it from just transfered all my details to the darwin dealer an all good
  21. dont worry soloman we can do a cai sportivo v's a standard sprotivo down the stuart highway lol Woops i mean hidden valley lol who needs a dyno when we can calculate from our feet lol
  22. rims size doesnt matter when u lower unless u goin to like 22's or somethin stupid but its to do more with the way a 18, 19 or 20 looks in the wheel arch after its lowered with a lower profile tyre. if anyone goes pedders i can guarantue (spelling?) itll lower it by 42-45mm and after about 6 months or so it'll be lower again once the settle im guessin to as low as 50mm my now scraps on the wheel arches and certain speed humps when it never used to but hasnt got any worse since (not that its a bad thing lol). when i installed my pedders i used spring compessors to get the old ones off and to put the new ones on i simply just pushed on the top hat and screwed the nut on with no spring compressors and im only little weighin in at 68kg. so u could understand that it loweredit definately more than 30mm.
  23. woohoo how exciting lol be good to look at it
  24. they had a problem when the xr6 turbo falcons came out they couldnt do much with the ecu but with time and a bit of mucking around they figured it out and could tune a exhaust, intake and more boost mods off the standard ecu but only minor changes but a change is mostly good with that stuff right. but the sports mode could do with some work to make it more sporty maybe a gearbox ecu mod or swap maybe the only way :D :D :D :D whats a snow button?
  25. yeah that would be prob the hardest thing to do although if u make it an exact copy of whats allready there as far as sensor position and mounting etc i reckon it'd be easy enough im after more bling than anything so long as it doesnt rob any power. so are u gonna buy one soloman
