  1. Hello, For anyone keen on doing a Deca/Skid pan day then the Skylines' Australia people are hosting another day as part of their 4-round championship. Anyone, in any car can enter: be it fast, slow, weird, thirsty and whatever else in between lol. So long as your car is mechanically sound and is of road-worthy state then it's good to go. Hit up the below link for all details: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/396661-import-monster-sauvic-deca-motorkhana-2012-round-2/ It's cheap fun and you'll be able to push the limits in a safe and secure enviroment. In saying that, don't go too hard as Shep' is a good 2hrs+ drive away from Melbourne. I won't be going as I'll be preserving my clutch for an up-coming track days, 2 in 2 months is ample enough :P Just thought I'd put it out there for those keen
  2. End of April.... package arrivalus? :P
  3. Thanks Justin, good seeing you yesterday dude :) Bidded on an AEM boost gauge/controller with no intentions of winning.... but I did lol. Had it fitted today but still calibrating the waste-gate spring pressure and LED gauge but so far, so good - it hammers! Probably will keep it at 13psi to play it somewhat safe. SAFC is booked in to get wired up next Sunday, hopefully have it 'tuned' soon after. OEM spec O2 sensor is en-route from the 'States and fitted my alloy radiator with the help of Adam last week (thanks buddddy!) Have been invited to EXE private track day so looking at tyres of some sort (right now it just comes down to sizes/pricing really). Cmonnnn 1.45's!
  4. The seats recline so you'll be right lol - it's a big car alright! Link to 4500rpm clutch dump skid/launch of the line below http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=10150615885920047
  5. Note that test and tune is exactly that: they'll have a whole heap of cars of different levels going hard out - it's normally the more serious cars that are and about to fine-tune their set-ups prior to a big event. You're 'better' off organising a Session/Group for one of the Tampered days. Or for cheap thrills, get out and give Deca/Skid pan days a go. I know of at least 3 more Deca's happening this year if anyone wants to go, just requires an AASA License which can be purchasable on the day and an approved helmet.
  6. I'll join you provided I get a drive :P Can't wait to see what the new package would be, don't hold out on us dude!
  7. That's Alister lol - we're actually about the same height, only I'm sitting on low rails with the Bride seat. Here's anotherr
  8. Another weekend, another car event :P Finally managed to scare Alister by narrowly dodging a cone on his side! Wiinerrr!
  9. Yeh Chilli/Lance - his car rocked it! I'd say the EXE day will book out fast - those invited to the Saturday event can choose to do Sunday as well and if many do then that leaves even more limited spots. I'll be doing just the Saturday
  10. lol should have entered, I know of a guy entering his AE111 Levin - could had epic 20v battles yO!
  11. Sunday is open to the public but Saturday is invites only. AFAIK, Saturday has been fully booked and yes, Sunday would most likely book out fast. I won't be attending Sunday as I'm due to fly to the U.S. (Was going to fly out on Saturday but postponed it once I found out I got an invite lol)
  12. Good Lee :) And thanks for the complement!
  13. Thanks Duy/Justin :) Here's a pic I found taken from the dyno day Looking forward to Deca day next weekend that's for sure! Actually quite happy with the car now having gotten the brakes/major service completed as well as getting coilovers in. Can't really fault the car besides it's immense thirst (I emptied a $90 tank in 5 days - but hey, that's boost for you!) Will be looking at getting the SAFC in and tuned on higher boost, hoping on 210-220rwkw once sorted but that'll come in due course
  14. With the staggering amount of interest, I think it's update time :P Went to a dyno day to see what difference the front pipe had done, if any. Also replaced the panel filter with a new one. Results: Up 39wkw from last time. However, I have a feeling that the previous place I dyno'd at was low reading as everyones' car was also reading low. Car runs a whole heap smoother now after servicing it twice; no more miss fire in the top end! No. Plates are now on and registered to the car, will be doing another skid pan/Deca day next weekend and will hopefully have a few gadgets installed in the coming fortnight. Will see how I go.
  15. Random photo lol The white JZX100 is my friends', came over to drop off my jack which my brother needed so he could work on his JZX110 Mark II Chaser. No guess which is mine! My other brother has a Tommi Mak evo so it's a garage full of grey imports lolll Dyno day tomorrow, let's see if a front pipe and new air filter has made any real difference!
  16. Just a heads up, there is 5 spots available if anyone is keen to enter - you might wanna make a move on!
  17. Entries might be full by now but if you come spectate, you can ride shot-gun so long as my seat is free :)

    dee's daily

Yamaha, in collaboration make and tune alot of the Toyota heads and have been doing so for a very long time. A few examples: the Altezza (or known locally as the IS200) came out with the BEAMS S3GE engine with quad throttle bodies as standard. My brother has a JZX110 Futura tuned version, its said to output around the 220kw mark with the assistance of Yamaha tuning. It's also got a Yamaha badge at the back. Lastly, Lexus' IS-F's aural note at 4,400rpm was tuned specifically by Yamaha.
  19. So I've always been after some plates as my current ones are bent and mangled. Thought I'd get onto Vic-roads and see what was available, after a few goes; 1JZGTE had since been sold which was no suprise and the next available option was 1JVVTI - the JZX100 Chasers' come with the VVTi 1JZ-GTE engines which does away with the twin turbo set up from the Soarer and instead gets 1 bigger (still small) turbo and Variable Valve Timing resulting in 50% more torque in half the revs (2400rpm). I wasn't ready to fork out $655 for the plates though so just left it as it is. Anyway! So one night while browsing various forums, I stumbled across the above plates for sale and needless to say, I jumped at them. There wasn't much interest so I scored it at a price I'm quite happy with. They're still new and have not been registered to a car since manufactured - woohoo! Plates should be on the car by mid week
  20. DAMMMN! Them 14's look right at home on the '82! Another inch of more lows and she'll be sweet :P
  21. It is a skid pan afterall Jeff lol Taking on a Nissan, oh how I love cones!
  22. is that a real nardi? if it's a fake - damn! Looks good lol
  23. Update time! As some of you may or may not know, I work for Honda Spare Parts and my role is to help the Service guys out with the internal stuff as well as anything/everything a customer throws at me. Anyway, since working there I've gotten to know alot of the technicians fairly well, so I asked if one of the guys could lend me a hand (and a hoist) after hours to fit it. Needless to say, the job was done before I could roll up my sleeves! Check out that nasty welding! The original front pipe comes with a cat fitted but it looks like someone has hastily chopped it off and welded up a pipe to it. Don't worry, my car still has an additional cat as well as a resonator.. New pipe has vastly opened up the mid-range, picking up from 2500rpm and full steam ahead at 3k. On idle, you couldn't hear much of a difference, on boost then you'll know alright! Anyway, so one day I come home from work and my brothers' busy hacking away at a spare JZX110 air box he got. (Yeh his got a Mark II Chaser). He stops me and tells me I can have the new air filter if it fits the JZX100 box so naturally I go and trial fit it.. So I now have a new filter! When I purchased the car, the previous told me it had an HKS panel filter but instead I was gifted with a filthy, bug laden stock element. Yay! Ok and for a big update! I've always wanted to try out a Deca day, it's pretty much a motor-khana event with a big skid pan with cones in which competitors go around to see what times they get. I went for the skids. Needless to say, trolling various forums saw Skylines Aus (SAU) hosting a day so I got on that quick-smart! Believe it or not; I've never used the handbrake for anything other than it's intended use so today was a first! You'll notice about half way through I mis-shift from 1st to 4th, 2nd to rectify but by that time I'm coasting to the cone so I thought, 'when in doubt, burn out' so hand braked it outta there haha. Was a very hot day (high 30's) but got through it ok. I still have a few vids of it on the back track but will have to get round to it in the coming days. Car has been registered for the 1/4 mile Off-Street drags March 17th and the day after I'll be doing EXE Deca day on the 18th. Busy times ahead!
  24. Hello All, Resident track-whore here, just letting you know that the EXE people are hosting a Deca or Motor-khana/Khana-Cross day. Entries can be done via this link - be fast as theres only a handful of spots left: http://tiny.cc/mxzm3 Any/every car is welcome - doesn't matter if it's your daily-do-everything car or something you've spent your life savings on; so long as it's in road-worthy and good running order then you're more than welcome to join in on the fun. I have completed a few EXE hosted events and can reassure you it's value for money and the experience you get and learn from it could be highly beneficial in real world experiences.
