  1. Hi Phil, Correct, was held at Shepparton and was a very well run event. This Deca/Motor-khana days aren't all dictated by power; I did see an MX-5 hand it to a GT-R, he even had a passenger lol I went to the previous Tampered Day to spectate and help a few friends out and by come to the one in March (to spectate). If you come then I'm more than happy to show you some of my lines and what gears I take ect :) Forgot to mention that EXE are hosting an EXE Deca day (same place - Shep..) in 3 weeks time. Sign up here: http://tiny.cc/mxzm3 - there's only a few spots left so you might wanna be quick!
  2. Nice tyres! Bargain price too You'll find that the suspension will settle more after doing some k's after it's been raised up. So naturally, it'll drop slightly so wheels would tuck due to the camber that comes with it. Car looking sweet lowered! Should come to Skyline Aus DECA day with me!
  3. a Nissan, Blasphemy!! You're lucky we may be friends and you have 'ok' photo skills so I'll forgive you haha
  4. Thanks :) To be honest, it hasn't crossed my mind as the original headlights are HID as standard, not too keen on ripping them apart and getting angel eyes around them. I get enough people asking me if it's some sort of 5-Series BMW as it is lol Honestly, I'd doubt you'd drive all the way down here for some photos, or.. would you...? haha
  5. Went to get some photos with a friend and here's how they turned out. Big thanks to Peter/Duy for taking and processing the shots :) Recently swapped grilles to a TRD open face style one. Oddly, there seems to be two versions with the original TRD grille protruding more where the edges are. This one sits more in-line or flush with the bonnet. The car came fitted with aftermarket (white) Mitsuba horns, you can just about make it out. Yeh it's not everyones taste :P More eBay boot lip goodness lol Front pipe was installed today and so far, so (very) good! Noticeable from 2500 and come 3000rpm, it's loving the juice!
  6. I'm actually not too far off (0.2 seconds away) and considering the car did it on road tyres, stock sway bars and full interior - It's not a bad thing! By the time it gets serious, I'm aiming to be in the vicinity of 5 seconds quicker than the Corolla
  7. Not much happening with the car lately but progress nontheless! Managed to pick up an Apex'i SAFC II Black Edition for a good price. Was in good condition and came with the loom and manuals. Will be good to get the car running better with BPU (Basic Performance Upgrade) items. Also scored a front pipe of eBay. It deletes the compliance cat but still retains the standard cat so it's still relatively quiet. As is, the HKS Hi-Power Silent has a mid-muffler as well so it'll be good to see how it goes/sounds once fitted Good bye cat! Hello flames :P Car has changed slightly aesthetically so I'll get some pics up once I receive them. Forgot to mention that the car will be going down the 1/4 mile this weekend to see what it can run and is also booked in for a Deca /Skid-Pan day at the end of the month; need to learn the limits of the car and my capabilities, something that really needed done as I went from an under-steer prone fwd with 60 something wheel killer wasps (lol). Funny thing is, the Corolla is still quicker than the Chaser around Winton haha
  8. It's made from what I think, a flexible plastic that's fairly pliable. Paint is top notch for the money paid as well, woo!
  9. Woohoo! My boot lip spoiler arrived today :D Purchased it from eBay but had it custom cut and also colour matched to Toyota 1CO Metallic Silver. Only a few small issues; 1. It's a tiny bit short on either sides 2. It's got another layer of clear so it looks unmatched at certain angles 3. The end part doesn't conform to the shape of the bootlid Overall, very happy with it for the money paid! Always felt that the boot/rear felt abit 'empty' so this ties in all better I think.
  10. Thanks guys! Have another part coming, hopefully it arrives some time this week - will get pics up then. A little bit off topic; Caught up with an old family friend who recently acquired a TRD Aurion. He told me to take it for a test drive and shi.t that thing hammers! The real difference is that it's Much smoother in terms of power delivery. Didn't dig the interiors plastics but a nice torque-laden cruiser nonetheless!
  11. next friday sounds good, I'm down for 3 rounds 'cause I'm a tight *****. If everyone votes for 4, then I'll do it too haha
  12. Oh shi.t - thats where I live! There is another silver Chaser getting around but it's a Mark II version so it may have been him
  13. To be honest with you, I haven't gymed since my uni days - about 5 years ago now! Which area vs0p?
  14. Duy/Kenshin, I went for an overtaking maneuver on Tommy from the outside, as I did so he nudged me and it went wrong. His kart climbed onto mine and I copped his left wheel to the knee cap which in turn, hit the steering column. Found out the next day and was limping like a hero LOL. Then in Session 3, I spun out and landed right in the middle of the track with a few guys hot on my tail.. Alister swerved pass me but Chris didn't see me and plowed head on at full steam. Yeh I was sore as s.hit that coming week I've recovered now and want rd.3 destruction derby! I mean.. karts :D
  15. dwee/duy - please organise karts next week. We got guys hungry for battle! Lets hope I don't cop another kart-wheel to the left knee cap this time, that freakn hurt haha
  16. See what Alister said? I like it haha Whats stalactites? LOL
  17. LOL 2hrs?! WTF hahahah Dunno about u guys but 4 sessions was way more than enough for me lol (yeh duy put me down for karts too)
  18. Not much of update Bought an oil cooler (Just Jap) for cheap. Still needs hoses and a sandwhich plate - that'll come eventually. Also have an alloy radiator ready to go in, want to get the cars' cooling capabilities up to scratch before the next track day. Hoping to go 1.44 or better so that means more speed, = more heat Decided I've had enough of bronze and did the sacrilegious thing of sanding and filing them down so I can paint it another colour. Silver-on-Bronze wasn't cutting it for me so a change was due. Bottom is untouched and top one is after I attacked it with wet/dry sand paper and a file to get rid of existing scratch/chip marks. Fast forward after being primered, painted and let to cure overnight. Also managed to clay-bar 3/4 of the car in 41 degree heat before I ran out of detailer haha Have a custom boot lip spoiler on order, hopefully see that in a few weeks time.
  19. Thanks Mick, good seeing you and Andy :)
  20. Given that; A] The weather wasn't exactly great B] there were only 3 Sessions on the Long Track C] my PB was done on my last flying lap I think there is potential to go faster and either match/beat the Corolla's 1.46.1460. Either way, no stress; very happy with the time regardless!
  21. Looks super awesome man! You need black mirrors :P
  22. Thanks guys :) Justin, when you go to the Natsoft Timing site, go to where it says 'Ind.Lap' and then it'll show you a break down of everyones' lap times
