  1. You polish them wheels? 'Cause they a shinin'! Hit the tracks with Duy, I'll come mentor you if you like. Though I won't drive it as I'll think its my car.. haha
  2. It will also load up on fuel if it receives no signal/input from the O2 sensor as well, precautionary measure to ensure you burn petrol rather than detonate/ping Edit: Yeh any generic throttle body will do. I use the Nulon stuff and it works a treat :)
  3. For sale: Hankook C71 semi slicks Price and price conditions: $800 firm. My AE93R

Those 4AFE's are bloody reliable, I can tell you that! Nice clean car too :)
  6. Before you service it next, take off the intake piping and give the throttle body/intake manifold a good cleaning. That should kill off some of the soot that ends up in the exhaust. Just to note, my car too blows some black smoke in the high rev ranges. The ECU runs on 2 types of settings: open-loop and closed loop. At partial throttle the ECU will adjust the amount of fuel required to mix in the with the air. At full throttle, it has a pre-determined setting that it switches to so it essentially just dumps petrol. In saying that, if you have mods, the car will essentially learn to adapt with the mods at open-loop mode (given its basic mods). Another way to reduce the black smoke is by fitting an oil catch can between the cam covers and intake manifold.
  7. Mmmm red Corolla, I likkke; 'cause red cars' are always faster! Nice house btw
  8. track slut, haha I get that too often
  9. erm dude... You can't exactly compare dyno sheets from different dynomometers as there is a discrepancy of up to 10%. Not to mention the temperature and atmospheric pressures that plays a role on the readings. You say which cars make less power than your car ect, hell my car make 63.4wkw; 20+wkw less than yours but it'll be interested how we go on a race track, with me 200kg+ less..
  10. They'll be around 7kg - my 15x7 Rotas are around 6.3kg a peice, give or take 100gm
  11. Quite the contrary dude. I've had both the Enkei RPF1's and also Rota Slipstreams; copy wheels of Desmond Regamasters'. I flew of the track at 130kph, spun 360 degrees and hit the gravel 2inch from the circuit and didn't even dent or bend ANY of the wheels even managing to lodge a stone inbetween my semi slicks and the wheels.. go figure.
  12. lol keyboard warrior is mad. This is a good, no great forum but it's guys like you with no modesty that ruins it. I won't bother with replies, it's clear you're too much of an egotistical knobjock to comprehend criticism. UMAD?
  13. lol you just join and you tell this member to go check out your car(s).. why? 'cause it's full Leb-Spec Ay brew or something? As to Andy referencing the Seca to a chicks car; If you've seen the original 1989 TV commercial, you would know that the lady in that commercial drives the Seca and the Man, drives the hatch.
  14. I might cancel work and make an appearance. More incentive to go before I part the car out..
  15. Sorry to butt in here but, if you're comparing your Corolla to say an SS/SS-V VE Commodore then it would essentially smoke your Corolla around any race track given the same day and the same driver. I race quite often and as common the reference "boats" are given to big sedans, they aren't all that slow with a capable driver. As for the pads: those A1RM's WILL eat your rotors regardless if you drive it like Takumi or a grandmother; the pads are designed to work effectively once they have reached a certain temperature range hencewhy the materials will just chew through rotors. How do I know? I've eaten through a set of rotors with the A1RM's before and race/daily on the HPX's now.
  16. For sale: Rota Slipstreams Price and price conditions: $750 firm Pictures: Contact Details: via PM Location: S.E Melbourne Delivery & Conditions of Delivery: Pick up preferred - local buyers get preference. Will send interstate, buyers to organise and pay for pick up/transit costs. Wheels were originally gun metal but I had them chemically stripped and powder coated gloss black which cost $240. They're my race wheels so still has semi-slicks fitted, will be removed prior to sale/purchase. If I remember correctly, no gutter rashes, like new after powdercoating. Not budging on price - if they don't sell I'm more than happy to keep. PM if interested. Item: Matte black 949 6UL wheels Location: Melb S.E Item Condition: used Reason for Selling: surplus Price and Payment Conditions: $850 firm. Not going to budge so don't try. Pictures: Extra Info: Front pair is 15 x 8 +36 offset, rear pair is 15 x 7 +36 offset. Fronts are around 5.5kg and the rears abit less than that if I remember correctly. Wheels do not have any gutter rash apart from a few marks from transporting them to/from tyre shop - they aren't scratched up. They come with 2 centre caps and each wheel has 2 valves, totaling 8 all up. Wheels have never seen a race track. Happy to send Aus-wide at buyers' expense, I sent my RPF1/Impul RS's last time with e-go interstate and it only cost about 40-50 depending if you buy insurance ect. If you dislike the items and/or disagree with anything then PM me, otherwise please keep my thread clean. Cheers
  17. I actually have a guy waiting for me sell up, just need to say when and he'll come up with the money. In all honesty, I'm after $850 as the tyres are still in good shape but will have to wait until new wheels come before these are confirmed.
  18. Woah! $250, I'm definitely going there next time I re-work my set up! Good to see the exhaust finally done, with some semi's and camber, you'll close the gap real fast on me around Winton!
  19. I like this idea! Last Sunday in July also happens to fall on my birthday, see how we go but if we can book in Garage Cafe then that would be awesome! Don't have to worry about Melbourne's unpredictable weather
  20. Berk Technology exhaust? Do I get an e-cookie? haha nice car man!
  21. I don't know if you're the same guy that messaged me on another forum but these will be for sale in the coming weeks with tyres, I'll revise the price then but it'll be around the $800 mark with tyres, firm.
  22. Car looks good! We need another Melbourne meet that's for sure!
