  3. Duy/Kenshin, Please inform me ASAP on where your other 2 friends are at with payment and entry and whether or not they require accomodation. Same goes with Jskills - I've emailed him and it's now your job to keep me up to date. Please do not make me chase people up. Thanks

  6. Very nice work on the wheels! More lows and Winton here go!
  7. Another minor update Awhile back, I've always wanted a smaller/lighter battery but didn't know which one to get until a discussion was had on another forum. That led me to do a 'group' buy on a Deka ETX15 battery with another forum member. The battery itself is made in the US and said to be made for another brand which is then rebranded and prices increased. Whether or not this is true, I can't say but I'm very impressed! Here is the side-by-side comparison of the Deka ETX15L and my previous Exide Endurance Plus battery. The Exide engulfs the Deka and literally is 3x the size. Wait until you see the weight! The porky Exide came in at 14.7kg with the gold terminals attached ..And the Superlight weight Title goes to the Deka, weighing in at a mere 5.0kg on the dot! Essentially 3x the weight (almost!) Before getting the battery, I was worried as to how it would hold up in a vehicle that wasn't missing any ancillaries; air con/power steering/upgraded audio and alarm. However, I was assured that it would be ok as there was minimal power lost when the car was off with the only current drawn being used by the LED for the alarm. That said, after getting a few bits to fit, the Battery went in without too much hassle. The flywheel that was installed with the clutch came in at 4kg, with the stock being 7 or 7.2kg - I've yet to measure but with a combined weight of over 12kg saved from the front, I'm definitely a happy camper! That's even before mentioning the added bonus of the lightweight flywheels' ability to incrase/reduce revs quicker. A few more things' to do left before track day but the main culprits are out of the way. Will hopefully get photo's of the battery installed tomorrow. Thanks for looking
  8. VU Will? If so, man it's been awhile! I got mine through Bursons, they don't normally stock it but can get you one in. My local Bursons wanted a deposit due to the cost of the clutch because I have a trade account and a good record with them, they ordered it in for me without incident. Trade account is awesome, save some decent money every time; from spark plugs through to Clutch kits! Also, I rate the Exedy clutches. I've been through 2 of them already; one on the previous car and another on my current. Both H/D clutches and both never failed.
  9. Awesome! GoPro/DSLR/footage, just the words I wanna hear!
  10. haha nah this is the eldest brother. Nghia's got a Liberty now Lights came from the older twincam forums, hard to get nowadays and costly too. Yeh, the EVO is a whole different ball game. Very fast and... very thirsty with 200wkw! hahah thanks champ! It's standard plates Duy
  11. Lee you coming up to watch us on the day? Peter, I still recommend the pads and fluid but hey your car, if you run out of brakes don't say I didn't warn you! (..and I know the way you drive son! :P)
  12. 07/03/2011 Small update, bought some more parts.. starting to make progress on the track day now. Car is currently at the workshop and will be worked on first thing in the morning. Got a few updates to come soon as well. 08/03/2011 Some (slow) progress Got a call from the mechanic, the clutch fork was fairly rooted where the ball was. It had been grazed and started a slight crack and needed replacing. Called 5 places until I found a replacement Previous Exedy H/D clutch that served me well Thankfully the elder brother left his car at home and let me borrow it (champ!) - 'Docile car and the looks it gets... priceless!
  13. Accomodation is booked, I will have to confirm with them (the apartment owners') tomorrow. Things are starting to shape up
  14. So where all the people who said they'd be interested in tracking...? Guess it's just us regulars' once again.
  15. Enkei RPF1's and IMPUL RS wheels have now sold, just the AXIS wheels left
  16. Alright guys, As promised I've got the forms edited so for those of you I know that are keen to Track, you've been emailed. For those of you who are 100% keen on tracking and want in, then this is your chance to put your money where your mouth is and let me know if you want the form. If I do not hear from you in a week, I'll be letting others' know to make up the numbers so it's up to you guys if you want to get a Corolla Battle happening. I'm going to give this about a week until I go chasing up the numbers so I can arrange accomodation and then finally organise the meeting points and times. So it's back to you guys..
  17. My brother cruised up there with the Melbourne Chaser boys', he was suppose to bring his JZX as well but it got destroyed <_<
  18. ok ok here are the other photos lol Better photo of the Mazda 626 lip They are 949 Racing 6UL wheels with a Staggered set-up; 15x8 fronts and 15x7's rear
  19. Ben! Very long time since our last encounter, thanks for the compliment and can't wait to see you back with the beasty '82! Oh yeh, got new wheels as well. Can't race on heavy weights so forked out some more coin for well, more wheels lol
  20. Not so much of an update but just a collection of random photo's. Mini story; One day while strolling the local wreckers, I stumbled across what looked like a Mazda 626 Wagon with a very tidy looking lower lip. Now, my Cressida one had seen much better days since it was now held on by cable ties in the centre. So much so that all the screwed in mounts in the middle had broken from scraping (everywhere) hence the need for cable ties. 'Decided to get dirty so off came the 626 donor lip and home it went. Purchased some matte black paint and screws and got busy, after some DIY'ing I got it to sit alot neater and fit better than the previous lip so overall I'm quite happy with the accomplishment. The bonus with this lip is that it recesses towards the middles making clearances easier with steep driveways, inclines and animals somewhat easier :P Version 3.0 Heat Shield. Was not happy with the previous 2 so DIY'd another one which works far more efficiently. The heat shield will get warm but the Air Filter remains cool from the air feed/ducting. Still need to refit the catch can inbetween the fuse box and Heat Shield. Interior has changed slightly. Now have the following fitted: - Broadway 300mm Flat Mirror - 400gm Skunk2 5spd gearknob - Faux (read fake/replica/non-genuine) Bride VIOS Low Max III fixed back drivers' seat, SSCUS passenger - Old-school Apex'i RSM (not pictured - sits above steering column) Random shot Unfortunately, the wheels I were after failed to fit at the rear so I'm back to the drawing board. Nonetheless, I've been busy acquiring parts in preparation for the track day and will book it in to have it fitted most likely next week. Will get pics of parts when they arrive, until then; Thanks for looking :)
  21. Not saying that your friends have to take the group name too. And yes as u said that wouldnt make sense as they dont have a toyota/dont belong to tocau forums etc. Doesnt the form have like some type of group u belong to? (eg. like yours is "4age power") or is that something we have to organise ourselves with adam? If u dont know what i mean. Look at ur name on the datasheet for the best times on natsoft last time u tracked at winton I know what you mean but for now that name is irrelevant. I put '4AGE Power' simply because I requested not to be put in the same group I was organising but Adam decided to put me in there as we did not meet the numbers needed. If you must need a name then by all means PM me. I have yet to edit the forms, email everyone, get everyone to pay up. Get People to confirm payment, see if they are in for the convoy on Saturday arvo, make accomodation arrangements for xx amount of people and still set up the car. You can see why a name for the group is irrelevant at such a time. Duy, if you buy the tow ball then I'll buy the necessary strapping. Didn't end up going 'karting as it was too late and booked out. They ended going to the Port Melbourne one.
  22. The track day was organised for my group of friends originally but I thought I'd extend it to the TOCAU community to see who would be keen so haven't put out a name as such. I don't know what the boys would if they were put in a 'TOCAU' group when they have different makes and models. That said, we pretty much have enough numbers to run now. It's just a matter of paying up and waiting it out.
