  1. Not alot lol, it's my daily and also track weapon. I'll update my thread.
  2. Finally have a night off from work on Thursday so wanna see who's keen on meeting up, maybe wash cars and go take some photos. I see alot of people are hard working on their cars even with the lead up to Christmas so why not all get together and talk crap/take photos before the break-up. Much like what you guys do on the Friday nights but for a Thursday. Anyone? If so, state a time and place. Preferably S.E suburbs :P
  3. Running 195/50 on an 8 inch wide wheels, no issues and this I would consider a very mild stretch. My race wheels are the opposite, anything from a 195 or 205 on 7 inch wide wheels. Different wheels and tyres for different uses :)
  4. Welcome, did you have a Pulsar previously? I'm Dave's friend with the earlier model Corolla.
  5. Good stuff with the wheels; you'll be fine without the hub rings. I know I should, but never have ran with hubcentric rings. Everything from my Enkei's, Rondell's, TOM'S and AXIS wheels. Powdercoat them black I'd say.
  6. Couldn't let my brother take all the lime light with wheels, so I bought another set. lol Took of the race wheels and tyres and replaced them with road going wheels and tyres. The wheels are AXIS OG's 15x8 +25 and weigh a metric tonne compared to the RPF1's I've got haha Transferred the tyres onto the AXIS OG wheels as the RPF1's will now be relegated to track duties. My IMPUL RS's with RE55S's are for sale for anyone interested. Holiday soon so no more spending (..hopefully) Thanks for looking
  7. I thought Peter/Duy said he bought them? lol anyway They look good for 200 bucks! You should paint them black but I'm biased lol. What semi's you gonna use? What's the next target time? Guni did a 1.50/51 with RE55S's chasing me earlier in the year
  8. wheres the shootout held Johnnie? I wouldn't mind joining you. I wanna see if I can crack 70-75wkw
  9. ^ You seem knowledgeable and full of advice, how come you don't track/circuit your car? I'm not being a smart ar.s.e, genuine question. I agree with some of your points, others not so much on. For example, lowering your car will help with CG yes but you have to factor in bump, rebound and roll-centre adjustment if you do go too low. Braking abruptly is fine, imo - I do it at Winton on both the back and main straights. I do not slam them ever, coming up to the apexes or hairpins. I'm not too sure what you mean about the one hand-technique. If your implying steering with the one hand while the other is stagnant then I don't know how you can induce more oversteer. When cornering, it would only take a matter of seconds. Moving your left foot over to tap the brakes, reduce pressure, lift foot off, then go back to clutch for gearshift is effectively almost a half second - much like a gearchange. Regardless, it's your first time out in the Sportivo at Winton so don't worry too much, just that sub 1.50's isn't as easy as it seems unless your a b/s ace driver then fair enough, my mistake!
  10. Have you learnt to heel-toe for shifting? Kick the throttle to raise the revs (rev match) on the down shift and it will help catch the revs rather than 'fall' into the appropriate revs with conventional down shifts.
  11. I've got ultra light RPF1's - 15 x 7... your call!
  12. Buy my 14' Impuls with RE55S's? :P
  13. Checked Natsoft, a few seconds off the mark but always next time. Good attempt though.
  14. lol thanks boys, gram lights have been removed and XD9's put back on. Brother couldn't deal with the scraping haha
  15. 1.49 on a pair/set of RE001's? Good luck. Just curious, you said you've done a track day. What car, what track and time did you post?
  16. I don't know if they still do it, but Pedders had a $14/28 point suspension and wheel check. At the end, they give you a list of what is "wrong" with the car and needs fixing or adjusting. I did it for shi.ts and kicks and my report came out pretty bad "Suspension non-progressive rate" "Spring rate too stiff" "Wheels scrub - reduce width/offset" ect ect lol
  17. what oMoMo said, if you do under 2mins then thats pretty impressive for a stockish car if it is. Can't compare a Starlet GT to the Yaris/Echo - different animal altogether, alot lighter and also has forced induction. My friends' GT has gone 1.44 I think you'll do 1.57-2mins but thats IMO. Feel free to prove me wrong.
  18. Brother trialled fitted some wheels and asked for pics
  19. Can vouch for Kenneth, paid on Wednesday and received on Friday at a lower price than listed. Genuine seller with good products :) (I should have bought that RS badge for kicks as well but too late now lol) Free bump
  20. Thanks Mick, Those wheels pictured are JDM DC2R wheels which are an inch larger than the ADM variants
  21. Was asked/told to come down to spectate and help out guys new to track racing on lines and general racing do's/dont's but it's looking slim as I've got work rostered on the week-end as well as a few things to do. Doesn't help if I know one of the cars out there has taken my spot I gave up :(
  22. I really hope, seriously. That you crash your car next time you attempt this.
  23. Not to burst your bubble or anything but even the most prepared people can't antipate what will happen on a race track therefore it's a good idea to bring tools and fluids at the bare minimum. Other than that, good luck.
  24. Thanks guys And yeh Wil, I was there at the the sneeze day but won't be making the EXE day even though I had a spot, always next year!
