  2. Thanks alot for that Duy, I forgot to mention that. Another thing, for us asians really :P Bring a pack or two of boxed instant noodles just in case you get the munchies when we arrive into town. Don't load up too much on the snacks as the sugar may keep you up, noodles is carb based so you'll be right. I will be purchasing cans of drinks and light snacks for Race day so will take up donations. I have also spoken to the Apartment owners and have come to an agreed price of $35 per head however it may change if we don't meet the numbers (it'll be $36-37 if it does change so it's not that bad you tight****s!) And lastly, Tru-star (Trung); if you wanted to compete, the VERY least you could have done was get in touch with me and let me know and not use Duy/Kenshin as your minion to tell me and also PAY for your entry. This isn't something you want to get in last moment as it does take some time to prep your car and get it prepared but hey like I say; your car, your money. Next time I wouldn't accept your entry due to the headaches involved so I sure as shi.., hell you get the point. Make sure you have funds for the accomodation on Saturday. Thats my 0.2c rant done!
  3. So I did an impulse purchase 5 peice JDM floor mats with TOYOTA emblem. Admittedly, I once had the exact same set but regrettably sold them so was always after another. My current is the plush version with the Corolla emblem but I feel that the new ones should tie in with the interior better. Regardless, they are en-route and cost me something stupid but hey, it was an impulse buy! Oh yeh another purchase Omori dual meter guage. It reads oil Pressure and Temperature. Just push a button and it'll read one or the other. Really wished the face was red or amber as the green will look odd but Function > Form Track day this weekend, forecast looks promising. Fingers crossed for new pb! Thanks for looking
  4. lukusis; I didn't realise you're Vietnamese! Or is this Andrew? haha Regardless, I don't remember the guys' name as it was two years ago but I think his still there, he sells alloy radiators for the AE86's I think and I asked if he had any to suit the 4AGE AE92 (w/ the 45 degree water outlet in the corner and not in the middle). So if you stumble across them, ask the seller. Oh yeh, ASI alloy radiators aren't bad either. Mine's a Golpher one and was a direct fit; everything lines up, peforms exceptionally and is shiny for +5hp or so Kenshin/Duy; Well I'm using a combination of both and definitely rate them!
  5. No, I meant that if benji is competing then he should arrive earlier. And if Zeinheiger is tagging along for the trip then they should aim to be there earlier or make do with an average spot. Generally going passenger doesn't come up until Session 2 as Session 1 is focused on getting the paperwork done and getting the competitors on Track. Once that's finished, it's onto paperwork for Passengers. We need 14 cars minimum, last time we had 13 cars. As there were 65 entrants on the day, not like it mattered much really.
  6. Duy, we might be having a few randoms as we didn't meet the minimum requirements in terms of numbers. I'm hoping on Rob and Pete to be in our group so that it's more even and at least I will know everyone, in saying that; expect a few randoms.
  7. Duy, sounds like him. Think his car is more Silver than blue but still, he rekons he'll nail a sub 1.50 - First time at Winton but his got a fair bit of mods Zeinheiger; If you arrive at that time then you may be relegated to a fairly ordinary spot, i.e in the sun/no shade. People start arriving at 7am so maybe aim to arrive earlier if possible. It also makes getting through paperwork alot easier as well. The Hume hwy is very quiet in the early hours of the day, you'll have no issues.
  8. Please read! Ok guys, Update time There is not going to be a meet down in my area as two of my guys (Civic and Evo driver) will be heading up later in the evening and will meet us at Benalla. Dwee and I will be leaving the S.E suburbs at 7pm (after mass) and will meet you guys (Johnnie/Kenshin/Jskills/Le.vinh ZR) at the BP in Wallan around 8-8:30pm. I'd assume closer to the 8:15pm or so mark but will keep the guys posted, Duy I've got your number. I have also organised for Anthony (Corolla SX) and Daniel (Clio Sport) to meet you guys at the Wallan BP petrol station as well. Also, I've told Lee/Lichan (Corolla SX) to get into contact with you Duy, so he'll probably go with you guys enroute to meet point at BP. Duy, I'll let you organise/be in charge of the west side guys and the intial meet at BP. Any issues, give me a heads up via text. Another thing; my elder brother is good with photo/video editing and all things computers/DSLR so I will try to capture as much footage as I can so he can make a short film based on the track day. As so, I may have a friend cruise up with me to assist in this. Lastly, the Wallan BP station can attract unwanted attention (Police) so when you guys get there, park your cars further down a little or the likes and try not to make a scene when arriving. Why? Well one time we had a meet spot there for a track day and a local called the police on us and so, we were greeted by a divvy van and highway Patrol car. I am not stating you will but as a precautionary measure. Anddd finally, the attendance list if all goes to plan 1. Trung -AE92 SX Hatch 4AGE 2. Lee - AE92 SX Hatch 4AGZE S/C 3. Anthony AE92 SX Seca 4AGE 4. Canh - Evo 8 MR 5. John - EG Civic B16 6. Dominic - Clio Sport 7. Peter - ZRE152 ZR Hatch 2ZR-FE 8. Johnnie - ZRE152 ZR Hatch 2ZR-FE 9. Benji - GSV40R Touring 2GR-FE 10. Duy - ZZE123R Corolla Sportivo 2ZZ-GE 11. Jskills - ZRE152 ZR Hatch 2ZR-FE Maybe 12. Rob - AE82 Twincam Hatch 4AGZE S/C 13. Pete - AE92 SX Seca 4AGE 20V The maybe guys are definitely in but unsure if they will make our group as they had to email Adam to ask for a swap in Groups. Either way, we will sort out on the day I guess. Looking very good guys :)
  9. Keep it on the track.. Zeinheiger, Gates open at 7am so anytime after that is ok. We will be leaving Benalla (the town before WRW) around 7am, possibly earlier. Don't load up too much on brekkie, some noobs aren't familiar with racing hard-out around Winton with a helmet on. I've heard of a horror story where a girl chucked up while riding shotgun in her bf's car - with the helmet on. See you there :) Oh yeh, forecast has changed to 26 degree forecast
  10. Sunday Mostly Sunny. Mild. Wind 2 km/h Humid 37% Min 10 Max 25 Please, Hold up!
  11. haha Are you getting an AE92 SX 'cause of my build? champion! As for the red, my car had a respray sometime back but it's starting to fade and more so on the bonnet. I wash the car regularly and have noticed that the paint's in good condition still as the water 'beads' when sitting on the car and doesn't streak like older/less maintained cars do. The only waxing I do is for the bonnet as it's faded the most
  12. Racing doesn't start until 9-9:30am depending on how they go with scrutineering and paperwork but it's generally around there. If all goes according to plan, we should be the first Group out on the day so aim to be there at 9 and you'll see us in the first Session :)
  13. Lee, if you leave Sunday morning, you'd get there in about 2.5hrs fairly easy and that includes a quick brekkie/petrol stop. I remember doing it in around that time frame one time doing a morning run. (But I left at 4:30am :P)
  14. Suprisingly bumped into today Lee; so... still coming? haha
  15. Very nice Andy; I envy your power windows!
  16. oooohhh I know what that secret talk meansss!
  17. Nice work at the drags, didn't really Aurions were that quick! As for the shifting issue, have you tried looking at performance transmission fluids? I use Royal Purple in my gearbox and it's very smooth! Will be interesting how you fair at Winton
  18. ..so I got another set of wheels to fit the semi slicks. Yeh I know, my wheels are probably newer than my jocks lol Why am I not using my 6UL's? There isn't much strut clearance to A) run some fat tyres (205/50) and B) dial in more negative camber. Make no mistake, the 6UL's are fine for street use and track days (my RPF1's were very similar in size/offset) but to camber the wheels in you need some clearance. Anyway, new wheels are ROTA Slipstreams. These are also called Spoon/Desmond Regamaster copies but I'm not fussed. Specs: 15 x 7 +25 PCD100 6.2kg/each running -3 degree camber fronts and -2.5 rears, maxing out the camber bolts if I remember right.
  19. who needs coilovers, certainly not me! :P Nice rear lip Duy :)
  20. I sold the wheels with the semi slicks
  21. I have a dyno event on, would definitely like to come next time though!
  22. Clutch has pretty much bedded in nicely now. Clutch pedal has firmed up and bites well, just like before but more sensitive to throttle inputs. Onto other news.. After looking around for awhile for semi slicks for the track day, I finally found a set. Got a call at 9:10am from a contact informing me that he just acquired a set of 205/50/R15 (exactly the size I was after) Bridgestone Potenza RE55S semi's in SR (hard) compound. I'd prefer a medium-soft compound but will settle for the SR's I've got a 'suprise' installed in the next coming days so stay tuned
