  1. Here's an idea man! Come and get them two to attend and we'll go down to the JDMST meet (with Simon/Japerd) afterwards!
  2. Thanks dude, As for the lights, lol from all places they could have come from; they came from South Africa. They have alot of Corollas like my shape over there for some reason
  3. TOYTRD kills it with the offset! What wheels and size? I'm assuming 16 x 8 or 9 inch wide? You guys meeting up next week?
  4. Oh yeh, should we talk money? How much per sausage/bread and cans of drinks?
  5. Since everyone is bringing their entire pantries and refridgerators; I'll bring myself and some extra coinage for donation lol I'll be there around 11:30pm or so
  6. 195 is hardly much stretch on a 8 inch wide wheel.
  7. I run the OG AXIS wheels on my car, although AE92. You'll definitely need guard work. My stock wheels are 14 x 5.5 +39 and I've gone to 15 x 8 +25, something like 2.5inch wider and 14mm less offset. Without camber, they would stick out about an inch all 'round. So you'll need about 2 degrees of negative camber. I would suggest to not go smaller than OEM specifications, if you really want them wheels. Look for something 16 x 8 or 9 inch wide. 15 on a Sportivo would look way too small and hell you'd probably foul on you brakes or suspension, moreso when you turn.
  8. Hey Simon/Japerd, I'll go JDMST meet with you as well but I'll be going around 1pm or so as I have to head back again for work. Let me know if you're keen and we'll cruise up.
  9. Sportivo Corollas all look so similar to their Ascent and Levin brothers, least when I see an FN2R I can appreciate the engineering and race heritage inherent in the Honda DNA. I'd say, you get more out of the FN2R than a Sportivo for a fraction more cost wise.
  10. Another thing with the shifting; I think your mechanic meant that was for running in engines. Theoretically engines should be run in at different gears and speeds and not to use the same gear at the same speed all the time and load it up periodically with no thrashing and regular oil changes. Sorry for OT.
  11. Damn, you hit lift with fresh clutch installed? Both my Exedy H/D clutch I've bed in never saw over 4000rpm until at least 600km. I took it extremely easy for the first 800k's as you have to bed the clutch in properly. At first it will start off soft and progressively get heavier until it's properly bedded in. Either way, your car car, your money. Just my 2c
  12. Is the Asphalt car big? Would accomodate the lot of us ok? What time you thinking. Hell I'd probably be able to kill two stones with one bird and do JDMST and Toyota meet. Yeh, I typed the last bit wrong.. lol
  13. Have you really done 500+ km's in one day? With new clutches, you're meant to bed in the clutch plate with Zero thrashing for the first 500kms minimum unless I'm missing something here?
  14. I mean no offence and will say this openly: whoever organises the sausages, please, Please bring enough to cater for EVERYONE. Last time, I paid 10 bucks for 2!? Had I known, I'd probably would have bought a 2 dozen pack down for everyone. Hey, that's just me... :) Who wants sausages?
  15. don't be scared about being shy, just be scared from the all the guys - especially Peter, guys a monster (I love you bro lol). Hows this, how about we do a meet with the JDMST crew? They are having an end of month meet at the Pier in Docklands on Lorimer street. Right now I'm split between the two so we could just make it a joint thing. I can ask the organiser (I know the dude so should be sweet). Plus it's pretty central! Who's in? Me. lol.
  16. Hehe, I was reading your post and saw the dimensions of the clutch and thought "man, that's odd, the 2ZZ gearbox has the same diameter clutch (215mm) as that used in my car!" Then it turns out it's actually for my Corolla LOL. Question for you, how much did you pay for the clutch kit? I've got the chromemoly flywheel ready to go just need a clutch. Also, get yourself some ARP flywheel bolts as you'll need to replace them anyway :) (Yeh, I got them too)
  17. Yep, oxidation. I've seen occur on numerous sets of wheels I've had. Just needs a good sand and buff
  18. Friends' organising a private day in March so hopefully it's not as hot and a smoother run on the track
  19. Back from holidays and so got to servicing and fitting parts I either had or bought. Accumulated parts. Oil catch can, NGK plugs, Ryco oil filter, Penrite oil, Hot Indm Kai voltage stabilizer, HKS oil filler cap, Project KICS magnectic drain bolt, Raybrig T10 bulbs, sweatbands for reservoirs (lol) and Castrol power steering fluid. Reservoir sweatbands fitted lol HKS oil filler cap Before What the engine bay looked like Pre-rebuild After Fitted with the new parts. Voltage stabilzer is fitted to the side of the battery, got rid of the HKS death pod and fitted a 3A Racing one with K&N Apollo feed (actually works!) and other parts here and there. Not pretty a pretty engine bay but at least it works. Would like to dyno it sometime to see if it'll crack 70kw this time lol
  20. Yeh, what Lee said. I'm back from holidays and won't be doing the track day on the 26th. The 27th is fine provided it's during the day/afternoon. Also boys; track day in March at Winton :) Insider news has it that it will be an organised private Winton day and I'm trying to secure some 10-15 spots for myself and crew in tow. Once it's confirmed then I will let you know for those interested.
  21. Ok so it was good weather and the car was fairly filthy from trips to work and fishing ect. Gave her a quick wash and took some photos Retrofitted a JDM Corolla badge. It's replaces my scratched Toyota one with a "C" with 3 "crowns" on top. I quite like it! One for the 'Hella flush That's it for now, have a few things to be fitted/removed from the car when I get back from my HK trip. Thanks for looking
