  1. Thanks Mick! Duy, initially I didn't: I was 14th on the waiting list at last count. However, my friend who is good mates with the organiser had 5 spots set aside for him, I requested a spot but he could only manage 5 so missed out on that too. After about a week or so my friend said one of the spots became available so he emailed Kam (organiser) if it was alright for me to take the spot: so all turned out well and I'm in! As to how I knew I was 14th on the waiting grid; another friend has 'insider' news so he got the list but I'm sure it's subject to change
  2. Another update Picked up some Falken RT615's with some tread left for a good price so brought them and the pair of 18x9.5 Work CR Kai's to my Bridgestone Tyre centre. As they worked on the wheels/tyres I went to raise her up abit but the bloody drivers' side is still damn hard. Whatever! Wheel alignment. How awesome, the Chaser comes' with adjustable camber bolts as standard; Hellllooo -3 degrees! And at home. The rears are flush and the fronts still sit in slightly but a whole heap better than the previous 7.5 fitted at the front. Finally have concave all 'round! Finally have concave all 'round! And boy them Falkens aren't bad either I must say :D Onto other news, my brother who previously had a JZX100 Chaser has sold his Liberty. His picking up a JZX110 Mark II interstate today so that will make an interesting garage haha
  3. now on eBay for a stupidly cheap price http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/250907807521?ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1555.l2649
  4. Thanks man, follow the link that Jeff posted up and you'll see the Corolla there
  5. Nothing BUT love! Reminds me alot of my Corolla SX :(
  6. Duy, you loveit ;) As some of you guys know, the rears were sitting a tad too low for my liking so out came the C spanners. Raised her about 15mm at the back but still slightly low so I'll raise her another 10mm or so during the week. Not keen on dropping the fronts as I scrape enough and don't want to attract unwanted attention. Onto other news, I've picked up a pair of Work CR Kai's in bronze just like the wheels on my car. Only they measure 18x9.5 and will be fitted on the rears, my current rears (8.5 wide) will be relegated to the front once I get tyres, which should be soon I hope :) Pics up soon!
  7. Thanks Jeff! And no big spoilers here Ben, cheers
  8. Thanks for the photo Peter :) and good result Duy! Can't say the same for mine however.. so Duy, what's your friends' number? You know which one I'm talking about.. hahaha!
  9. I'll be there closer to 12-1pm. See you guys there if you're still around
  10. Small update Earlier in the week I had an alarm/immobilizer fitted. I won't say which exact model for obvious reasons but it definitely wasn't cheap and even though it may not deter would-be theives it's bound to make life somewhat harder. It's got some sweet functions too! Also with the help of some friends, in went the Tein coil-overs. Car sits a tad too low at the rear (doesn't show) so I'll raising her up in the coming days. The handling has improved greatly but I still want to get some sway bars before the track day so I'll work on that. Man, double wish bone suspension makes fitting/removing parts so hard in comparison to the Corolla! Off-topic, I scored a full time position working at Honda in the Parts Department so that will make life quite interesting. Quite ironic that I use to race against Honda's and they were/are the biggest match-up against my Corolla and now I'm employed by the biggest dealers in Melbourne haha. Anyway, got another update to come but I'll have to work on it. Thanks for looking
  11. Depending how I go with waking up, I'll be there in the afternoon. Unsure of time as of yet though
  12. Small update Ok so I bought another item.. New Toyota Supra 4 calipers front with OEM pads and offset caliper bolts to suit the JZX100 hubs. These won't go in for a long time as I need to get rotors, (better) pads, fluid ect first.. Got them at a relatively price so couldn't pass up the opportunity really Thanks for looking
  13. Thanks! Yeh it will go hazey next time so when it does, I'll be refurbishing and clear coating it. Yeh it will go hazey next time so when it does, I'll be refurbishing and clear coating it. My friend has a Series 1 Chaser and has dumped it, his is more of a cruiser.. Thanks for the heads up, I might do that!
  14. I hate the suspense of waiting on finding out what the part is, just tellll me lol At least my bonnet and steering wheel found a nice home :)
  15. Small update When I got the car, the headlights were faded/yellowed/hazed as like alot of imports. Disliking the discoloration and the amber corners, I decided to order some genuine Toyota side lamps last week and they arrived today. Originally.. Masked off the bumper and got to work on the headlights, sanding it down with 1500/2000 grit wet/dry sand paper intially then hitting it with 2 different plastic polishes.. almost there And finished! I found that Mothers' Plastic Polish was more abrasive, it's like a cutting compound with a polisher in it. The Maguire's PlasticX is good for buffing/finishing. Did a ghetto mod on the drill so that helped alot haha! Admittedly, the passenger side doesn't look as good as I didn't sand it down enough but it looks alot better than it did previously. Also picked up some clear repeaters to replace the orange 'nipple' indicators on the guards, damn compliance crap!
  16. haha, I'm quite doubtful of that!
  17. Yehhhh... you'll need to join the queue, Alister wants in too lol
  18. Mick, there were/are a few small gremlims with the car and even when rectified it was only a matter of time before I was defected. I've been pulled over numerous times and gone through just as many booze buses but touch wood I've been very lucky. Lawz, yeh my brother had a JZX100 as well but someone smashed into it and wrote it off Anyway, the car is a 1999 Series 2 Chaser in a some-what hard to get Silver colour. It didn't come with the factory sub, rear wiper or sunroof but it does have a Torsen LSD, factory kit and has a R154 manual gearbox as standard, along with all the other Series 2 upgrades. Along with it is a HKS Hi-Power Silent cat-back. HKS drop-in panel filter and Front Mount Intercooler. Car came with the bronze 18inch Work Emotion CR-Kai's as well. Anyway, here are the photo's as promised Missing the badge, I know Interior. I've already fitted my Skunk2 weighted gearknob and Broadway mirror. Everything else is standard except for the Prosport boost gauge (semi pictured) on the A-pillar Picked up some low mileage Tein Super Streets a day after purchasing the car lol And a rear shot Thanks for looking
  19. Good from far, far from good but a brilliant track car it was :)
  20. Thanks all :) Vinh, I'll get more pics in the coming days. Duy, car still gets parted out unless you want to buy the lot.. but it won't be cheap lol
  21. Hello all, Well as most of you guys know by now, my Corolla was thought to have suffered some engine damage and so I decided to part her out. In reality, it turned out to be a bit.ch of an exhaust leak that caused it run rough and have a rattle/vibration that was irritating to say the least. That said, in a one week turn-around I decided it was time to move on and 'grow up' - so that's how I ended up with this, a rwd Camry More details to come.. for now I'm off to collect parts for it haha
