  1. I think we should decide an hour or so before the meet. Our weather is pretty spontaneous.
  2. Personally, I agree with Ash. For your driving, 23mm is just going to be a waste. Even I don't feel the need for getting a RSB thicker than the 19mm one that I have unless I could get an upgraded front sway bar or do some suspension upgrades that will complement it. But at the end of the day, it's your car, so make your decision based on what you want.

For those Android users out there, I would highly recommend the following video player. Tackles quite a few formats and plays them fairly well, including DivX. RockPlayer (http://www.megaupload.com/?d=3XX6PZKH) You have to download the file, put it on your phone or external memory and run from a file manager like Astro or equivalent.
  4. other way man, they would be 9mm further in... if the widths were the same Pretty sure +36 would stick out 9mm then +45 (same width rim). You're thinking of it the wrong way. The Ford stocks are +36mm. The TRD is +46.5mm (but in this case lets say +45mm because of the Buddy Clubs). Put the +45mm offset TRD wheels on the Ford, they will sit 9mm in. Put the +36mm offset Ford wheels on the TRD and it will sit 9mm out.
  5. Seriously? I just got back from Kingscliff as well. Was doing some work there at Mantra on Salt Beach. Fancy that.
  6. Damn, I first read Rowan's post and was going to make a smarta55 comment. You guys bloody beat me to it Stupid work keeping me away from the forums. Anyways, to be on topic, I'm going to have to bail on this occasion. I have other engagements to attend to on that day.
  7. Good stuff. Waiting to see the 1/4 mile and/or dyno results. From the looks in the video, it looks (well more sounds) like it may be going through the revs a bit quicker, but that's just what it seems like to me. It appears to be gaining speed at the usual rate for an Aurion so this is definitely a task for the 1/4 mile so you can see the finer result. Edit: I had a look through a or two when I did the 1/4 mile and it certainly appears like your acceleration is a little sharper than what my last Sportivo did. I'm really curious to see what you car is putting down now.
  8. You f***ing legend. I'm so bookmarking that link. Edit: And I just noticed that you don't have to scroll to the end to mark it as read. There is a link in the red bar above where the posts go that says "Mark all items as read". Win.
  9. Well maybe if the new forum layout had a 'View unread posts' button, then that would be right, but unfortunately I doesn't. It's called 'Active Posts' so they will always show regardless of read status. The best it does is get rid of that small box that shows before the thread title to indicate unread posts.
  10. I'm currently using Fuchs Titan Super GTO 10W30. Been using it since my first oil change in the Aurion. I reckon it's a good oil and for about $40 per 5 litre bottle, it's not bad value for a fully synthetic.
  11. Shotgun third joyride. I'm personally not a fan of Fords but fuk those cars are weapons. So much potential. Certainly will be fun.
  12. Scroll to the very bottom of your page, look three lines up, then at the very right of the text in that line. Tell me what you see. It's not an ideal location, but it does the trick.
  13. Yep, that was mentioned. Thanks. Only issue is that we don't have much in Australia in terms of range when it comes to things like that. Only really have two brands, and the non-K&N is something you just can't really trust. So then comes the whole purchasing from the States, getting it shipped over, etc, which is just a pain in the backside when you only just got yourself a new filter. Once this one gets dirty, I will look into ordering the one you mentioned. The homebrew intake is actually tied down by means of a metal bracket attached to the MAF sensor mount. This means the intake is secure from swinging around and the rubber hose at the top allows the engine movement to occur with no issues. This is one reason why I have left it there for now. The other reason is that I tried to chance it over for some 3 inch pipe but unfortunately the angle wasn't quite right and it all didn't fit in as desired. I have to stop over at an auto shop to get a piece bent to the right angle then I will work on mounting the intake in a similar fashion to the K&N SRI where it mounts to one of the throttle body bolts. But by that point, I'll probably take it to a professional and have them make up a full SRI or CAI depending on my mood.
  14. LOL fail. I thought the post I made last night somehow got deleted. Turns out I posted in the wrong thread. Anyways, what I said was: At the end of the day, you should really take reviews like that, which are intended to reach a large audience with a grain of salt. I personally prefer to go on persona experience and from speaking with those who have been around cars for much longer than myself. One thing to remember as well is that because something works well for someone else, it doesn't necessarily mean that it will work the same for you. Even with recommendations from a trusted source, you may find that you could end up with a preference towards something completely different all because your engine may just respond slightly different.
  15. ... is about the only thing the Stivo will be able to do around the twisties.
  16. , You wish. More like the ones that leave the factory are the cleanest. I flushed mine twice before filling it again BTW :P
  17. It's like a fit guy telling me to go to the gym. Easier said than done. One day maybe.
  18. We have/had the occasional P-plater cop car here. It's illegal to drive with P-plates displayed when you are on your opens... but this is the police we're talking about. They have their own rules and regulations.
  19. All this time on the boards and you make two posts to try and say how much better your Supra is. I think I know a place where you will fit in perfectly: Boostcruising.com
  20. Welcome mate. I'm not sure whether you got a good deal or not, but what's done is done. What if you didn't get a good deal? What can you do about it?
  21. Ooops. Posted in the wrong thread.
  22. Sigh. I wish I could get off my lazy ass and do this.
  23. I think we are close to some real work Aurion results. I'm still waiting: 00UCH what a Aurion!!!! I personally think 260WHP may be pushing it for expectations... but I tend to be a little pessimistic.
  24. In answering the inital question, that viscosity is way to high for use in the Aurion. If you were to go for a thicker oil, I personally wouldn't go any thicker than a '40' weight. Unfortunately, this means you may need to use a different oil to what you may prefer. Not necessarily. Your service advisor should take off the cost of the oil from the service, but the amount they take off can sometimes be at their own discretion. I know for a fact that when I got my car serviced, they removed the oil costs from it. I guess there can be some out there though that will try to be sneaky by leaving the costs there. Edit: When I said they removed the cost of the oil, I wasn't referring to being with the 'Service Advantage Plan' as I didn't have that option with my car.
  25. I would guestimate it to be about 80% highway driving. The other 20% would be driving in the suburbs and city driving. For the amount of highway driving I've done I'd expect the average to be lower but then again, I do like to feel my acceleration. One thing I've noticed is that you can get some good fuel consumption on the highway for a fair bit of distance, but the crap fuel consumption seems to have the biggest effect on the calculation of the average.
