I'm not super Photoshop expert but here's the best I could whip up with in a minute. I'm not good with blending everything since you have so much colour range around that area.

You mean you got the oval Varex, since the canon is a different design altogether. As for the sound output, the resonator on the Aurion does a pretty decent job. I do agree that it isn't as loud as you would think, but this is mainly because the straight through design of the Varex has some muffling abilities as well and is not a true straight pipe. Have you got any more photos of your Varex fitment there. Looks like they did a pretty good job. Anyways, there is only one resonator under the car, the smaller looking thing towards the front of the car is a catalytic converter. I'd highly recommend not removing that. As for removing the resonator and/or cat, so far two people come to mind. DAR1US had removed his cat and resonator plus on top he has dual canon Varex, this was the end result: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!ELEGNT on the other hand has just removed his resonator, and this was the end result. He is running dual straight through SuperCat Resonators at the rear though, slightly similar to an oval Varex when open: Please wait a few seconds for Video to Load!

wayyy ahead of you on that one elgin :) Don't get too excited. The grip on the tires ain't the same as they used to be. Either they really are wearing down, the cold road is not helping, or I'm so used to the car that pushing it hard doesn't feel so 'hard' anymore.

Oops. Someone bumped this to the previous meets section a little too soon. Anyways, if no one is willing to give you a shotgun ride, I have a spare seat in the back if you're willing. sounds good to me :D I think Gav was giving you an offer as well in the Brisbane Meet thread. I think Gav is a pretty killer driver. I think you'll get some more kicks going with him. Decisions, decisions. Your choice.

LOL. Just have to take A LOT of photos then. But yeah, definitely one of those 'you have to see it in person'. -

Chris. I think you are way overdue on posting some photos over here. Others may like to see what you have done. -
I sometimes feel like that. Then I have this feeling of satisfaction to know that the car can withstand such a push, and I feel that she feels the same. I keep her happy by giving her good fuel and a nice bath twice a week. I actually had a thought not too long ago about what would happen if I had a 2ZZ Rolla. I hear the occasional person saying that they only hit lift a couple of times/every now and again, such and such, and I think 'but lift is before redline, it should be built to handle it'. Man, if I had a 2ZZ, I'd be hitting lift every time I accelerate. After reading a bit of what people say, it seems like they would never think of such thing. I do tend to give it a bit of a flogging. She still loves me. She's a bit of a fitness freak. She loves to go out for some intense training and feels satisfied knowing that she is tough.

Yeah, was on my way back from the Coast so I thought I would swing through the Valley/City while I was at it. Sorry Drew I couldn't make it. I couldn't leave the Coast any earlier and I was well knackered to get out of the car.

I think you should get yourself some new underwear while you're at it Elgin. Maybe check to see that your heart is ticking fine as well. I can't wait to see her.

If I got done for just 6km/h over (10% over in a 60 zone), or 10km/h over (10% in a 100 zone), I would still cop the fine and the demerit points. Simple fact of the matter... I was exceeding the speed limit. If I exceeded the limit because I wasn't paying attention, well that's my fault then. I should have been paying attention, more so to the fact that there is a cop in the vicinity. Sure I would be a little upset, but I'm not going to btch about it. I rarely look at my speedo, so I never really know what speed I'm going. It's not hard to maintain a speed, so using an excuse that it was only brief (and happened to be when the speed camera/radar was around) is not really acceptable. If you find it hard to maintain such speed, maybe you need to work on your driving abilities. For the record, I have already run myself down to one point remaining on my licence... twice. One on my P's, and once on my Opens (one more single point offence not shown below). If I end up getting to the point that I lose that point, I'm just going to accept the mistakes that I have made.

I thought 'where would an individual find comedy in that?'. I then proceeded to find a working video.... Now I get ya. "Boom"... I can help it but that was funny. BTW: That link ended up with a recurring loading loop in my Firefox. Try this one instead: http://news.ninemsn.com.au/national/814694...in-inner-sydney

I agree with Leroy as well in regards to the matter. To add, sure the fines may add up to be quite a bit and it will always seem like revenue raising, but then again, if you were obeying the speed limit, you wouldn't have a fine to pay in the first place. If you were to get constantly booked and still had difficulty keeping on or under the speed limit, it's no ones fault but yourself. Yeah they probably have a quota to work by, but if you obey the speed limit, then you wont be part of that quota. Simple. My view on the subject is plain and simple. You get caught and you clearly know you were in the wrong, then man up and take it.

Yeah. I don't know how people get done for those ones. You get three warnings that there is one there. First one to tell you speed camera ahead, then another to say speed camera 24 hours, then you have the multiple lines on the road to give it away. It surprises me how people get done for that. I have a mate that was staying at a place that overlooks the Story Bridge. He said that on one night when it was busy, he could just see the flash there going off like every few seconds or so. If you get done by those ones, you deserve the ticket I reckon. Matt was referring to the stationary/permanent speed cameras, not the mobile vans.

The most I've heard was a case of the screen failing on these, but that could have been a lemon. Unfortunately there aren't too many out there. If you were after a decent one, you would defintely be looking into the $1400+ mark as anything below that price is a little crap on the interface. For the iPod module, SupaTouring would be the person to ask. He doesn't have the sat/nav though, but on the standard CD player, he says it works great. As for the line out converter, if you get a decent one (some amplifiers even have them built in), you should get no noticeable drop in audio quality. Some line-out converters even have electronic processing to clean the signal.

It's a Toyota. It'll be fine.

I'm pretty sure we'll do a Nebo run. Best use of time. LOL, just as I type this I get a message asking if I wanted to go to Strike tonight at 7pm. Unlimited games for $25. Tempting, but I'd rather spend that money on the fuel for the run. Plus the balls at Strike are all wonky.
-
I'm definitely up for this one. I said I would be originally. I think Mick would like to tag along as well... in my car. I stick to the speed limit as well , but I'd be more than happy to lead... even though my tires aren't as grippy as they used to be.

When you ask which one will hold it's value better, I would have to say the factory sat/nav unit. They don't really hold much value anyways, but the margin is slightly higher. If you simply want to add iPod functionality, you would probably be best off to buy an iPod interface. It will be cheaper for you. Otherwise, if you want to get an aftermarket sat/nav with similar or better functionality and be of good quality, be prepared to spend upwards of $1500. I'd recommend a unit such as the Eclipse AVN6000. You will need to bear in mind though that these units will not fit in as cleanly as your stock unit. Apart from that, there are no other disadvantages when you compare it to stock. Alternatively you have cheaper OEM style sat/nav units (<$1000), but a common issue with these is that the interface on them does look pretty cheap. As well, if you are after iPod functionality, I wouldn't bother looking into the Auspack unit. It doesn't handle that too well. If you do look for an aftermarket unit and want one with better navigation capabilities, you should look for one that can accept a larger range of navigation software. Such units will say they run on Windows CE. That way you can run software such as iGO8, which after using it for a while, I find is really clean and friendly. As well, it has a cold boot time (from turning on to obtaining your position) of under 15-20 seconds which is pretty good.

It sure can be. Here in Queensland they state: I'm sure other states will have similar.

I'd be interested, but two Nebo runs in one week may be pushing it. Odd for me to think like that cause I'm willing to do anything, but I swear my tires feel like they are wearing faster and faster each day. There's a fair bit of meat left on them, it's just they don't quite grip like they used to. That said... what the heck; I'm up for something. Otherwise, just another lazy Sunday evening.

I've said my words on this before for a different branded product that does what the SprintBooster does. I'll just reiterate them to hopefully save others from money (only works with an electronic throttle):
