  1. Start calling any wreckers near your place. You can get the numbers easily from yellow pages anyway. I've seen some ppl selling Aurion parts so there should be some out there. If you are looking for cheap parts, then you should take your time and energy on it tho. That is what I do when I look for some cheap stuffs. HEHE
  2. Thanks for comments guys. Yeah I do have a set of lock nuts. However, did you know the locknuts can be easily broken with some special tools without making noticeable sounds? I have seen this when I was in New Zealand with my previous car. I parked my car in dangerous area (Manukau Shopping mall, one of the most dangerous crime points) due to my working place and that car was running on Racing Hart M5 17". When I came back to my car about 3 hours later, 2 of the locknuts were broken. The security guy came and told me that 3 guys were hanging around near my car and broke them about in 5mins. It was lucky coz the security guy knew them trying steal something so he kept his eyes on them. I was shocked that the locknuts could be gone that easily and quick eventho they were average quality one. So yeah...I don't fully put my trust only in locknuts and that is why I am getting alternative option.. Well...I bought mine from auction so I have no idea Toyota offers the alarm system. However, I bet the alarm system from toyota would rip me off hard although it has same functions as cheap aftermarket ones do. I found some good alarm systems after serching on the internet which have multi point immobilizer function and some more handy features. I will let you know guys when I get one.
  3. Have a look at ebay or call some wreckers. I am pretty sure some wreckers have some. Otherwise....yeah...Toyota Part department would be the last option for you.
  4. Hey ya all. I am just wondering, has anyone installed aftermarket alarm system on your aurion? Since I changed my rims, it seems like someone keeps touching my car in the night time and I heard there are robbery going in near my place. So I am worried of either the whole car is being stolen or the rims. Maybe I am worrying too much but it'd be better to be careful before something goes badly. Therefore, I am looking for a alarm system but I don't have any clue which one is good one to have. Any recommendations and price range? Also, what happens on immobilizer system if I install after market alarm system? Any advice and comment would be appriciated.
  5. X 2 you know me, i say slam it & i know you won't anyways, but it'll look good with a little lowering... But looking good Jinny... Will see it in the flesh tomorrow and paint some red bits on your new rims, lolz... :D HaHa Thanks Gerry! Yeah you will see me and my ride tomorrow. And Please don't paint it for me. XD
  6. Thanks for your advice guys. Yeah it sounds like I have to change my tyres to get it lowered but I don't think I will lower it for a while at least for a year for sure. Also like bondie said, in some other threads, I don't have many options on tyre selection regarding on load rating nowadays.. I think I just leave them as they are for now and I will consider to get it lowered about a year later when I have more options and the price for those tyres are going down. There is no rush to make my car shiny and something new becoz I would be a long term owner of my aurion. hehe..If i win a lotto, it's gonna be a different story btw...but it seems like there's no chance of it for now.
  7. Welcome aboard! I really like your the sunroof....hehe.. :)
  8. Thanks mate. Yeah the price including tyres, wheel nuts, lock nuts, fitting and balancing.
  9. Welcome aboard! Looks nice and I really wish if I had that sunroof....
  10. Thanks mate. I don't feel any major diffeence yet. I felt a bit of harder ride and better grip right after I changed them. There is one big difference which is I drive like grandma because of getting scared of scratch them. So someone sitting next to me said car's going much smoother than before..haha.
  11. Yeah. My next step will be lowering it next year when the warranty is gone. Plus I am broke for now anyway haha. B)
  12. Yeah. you actaully pointed exactly what I want my car like. I want something different between lots of aurions on the street and mine so I always think what I could do on it to be different. It looks like I still have many things to do on my car for that tho.
  13. As above. I was kinda shocked when they said the special is done and no more of $1.6k for those wheels.
  14. Thanks guys. I paid $1800 in total for those rims and tyres. That model was on special and the package deal was $1600 till this afternoon. I check the web site at work about at noon and it was still $1600 but when I get tempe tyres after work they said it's been gone up again to $2k. DUH!? I only had $1.7k cash atm and I would like to pay $1.8k max and they said ok. I thought they were giving me a set of cheap tyres that I never heard about but they gave me a set of Kumho Ecsta SPT 235/35 ZR20 tyres that I am really happy with. Also I was a bit worried about to be there because some of my friends been there and they are being rude. However, they even gave me $200 discount(although they were $1.6k for special tho) and being nice.
  15. Just got 20inches. I was watching the TRD ones and it went up much higher than I expected. It ended up at $810 tho. So yeah I'd better get new one instead. What do you guys think? I am really happy cos I brought them with pretty cheap price.
  16. U serious? City drive and u get below 10L? I do city drive as well, Sydney and i got around 15L/100Km.. Wait till u read my readings.. 15L/100km.. Ow....I meant 9km/L. So it is going to be around 11L/100KM at least for me.:)
  17. My aurion runs about 7000km from 6000km since I bought it(so it's 1,3000km now). I always use unleaded 91 from caltex and it runs about 9~9.5KM/L from 90% of city driving. I've been calculating the consumption manually by calculating running distance and amount of filling up, and it's pretty same as what digital meter says. Personally, it is really satisfiable because it still gives me average of 9~9.5km/l although I accelate hard sometimes and doing 90% of city driving.
  18. Oh man...I feel sorry to hear that. I hope it gets sorted out well and good luck with insurance.
  19. Looks damn nice! Are you gonna get a badge on it? If you would I just wanna see how it looks like. :P
  20. You are a ****** man. Do have nothing better to do with your time then come on here and dribble ****. When you can string a full sentence together and have a car bigger than the size of your 1" ***** come back and talk to us then!!! Anyway now that Turd has gone for a short amount of time back on Topic. Jin have you decided whether your leaving the grill open or modding it further with badges and what not to fill up the some of the space. Well..I think I just leave it as is for now. I will be putting a badge on it when I get bored of the looking and I coudln't find any decent badge yet.
  21. I think debadging on most cars makes the look much better and tougher cos it looks simple but it gives you strong impact without the badges. Also, it makes ppl to look again your car becos they would like to know what your car is. :D
  22. AGE: 26 SEX: Male STATUS: Being taken REASONS FOR BUYING: Needed a sedan with good looking and enough power because I don't like small car such as civic rolla etc.(no offence for those cars) Before I bought my aurion I was after honda accord euro but it cost too much and my budjet was limited. One day I found a hail damaged auction and I figured that accord euros were expensive eventho they had smashed roofs and rear windows. Honda price was too high and strangely there were alot of toyotas with less than 20KMs done and only couple of small dings on them(more than 200 toyota cars were like that). Aurion was not popular as now at that time so the price was good and the looking was so great. It actually caught my eyes really tight. I had to spent 7 hours waiting to get my car's on auction tho.
  23. I am just curious... Do you even own anything that called a car? Not the mini toys.
  24. I reckon try both. Because I realised that it is pretty different between what you're thinking in your mind and the real look after you're done something. Or you could try with photoshop and see how it looks like. I think photoshop is the best way.
  25. Duh... Talking Evo in Toyota forum. LOL I love Evo especially 6 & 6.5 but what you're doing is totally non-sense UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE CONCERNED. If that is what you wanted, yeah you are concerned. XD Anyway, let me tell you this. Everyone has different taste and you can't push someone to like it if they don't.
