  1. I am just wondering Do they have any set of coilover available for camry or Aurion? I've seen their catalogues on web site before but I couldn't find any products for those two cars. I wish they have them on special if any available for aurion.:)
  2. wat about rebound rate on the spring(pedders/king/watever) and shock combination? Spring is shorter/lower, shock is still at original setting.. It doesnt really work out well, does it? I doubt any of those spring rates will be so different that it adversely affects the current Damping/Rebound rate. With the above coilovers, you're talking about spring rates in the 10 kgfs and they're not progressive, 10kgf is 10kgf...*teeth Chatter*.. LOL...but i should be talking should I? My civic runs 20f/18r..LOL... duh...20/18?? it would feel like there are no tyres wrapped on your wheels. IMO, there's no way to say comfort on those 20/18 springs.
  3. I already have checked Ksport and D2 on those coilovers but it doesn't say it's for 4cyl or 6 cyl. Interestingly, Megan's one does state both 4cyl and 6cyl, but I am not quite sure we can use the 4cyl's spring on aurion because of spring rate. K-sport uses 9/5(front/rear) and megan's 6/4? D2 doesn't state the spring rate on their website. Could anyone clarify this??
  4. Just for your interest, there is no Manual tranmission available for all Aurion lines including TRD Aurions.
  5. Ew...A big argument is going in this thread. Let me explain a bit about using both feet in driving is not recommended. Here are some reasons, that I know, why accelator and brake pedals are placed on same side normally on right hand side. Those two pedals make contrast actions that one of them makes the car moving and the other makes the car stops or slows down. Therefore, those two pedals do not need to be pressed together at the same time UNLESS if you're in some specific cases such as racing. The risk of putting left foot on brake pedal is that, if you are in some cases like you need to stop SUDDENLY or any unexpected situations of having accident, general ppl normally push the both pedals very deeply and quickly and this causes decrease in the eficiency of braking and the stopping distance would be longer than pushsing only brake pedal. The reason of using both pedals in racing is that(Just a real rough idea), when racers do the cornering, they try to make the engine rpm high with slowing down so they can re-accelate quicker once they escape the corner and this is called hill and toe skill in racing driving. However, they never use left foot for braking, they only use right foot for accel and brake pedal, and left foot is only for clutch. *I've never seen anyone using left foot for braking in manual transmission driving.* Because, GENERALLY, in most cases, ordinary ppl are better with using their right foot to control the pedals rather than using left foot because ppl can control more seneitivly and effectively the pedals with right foot than left foot. Of course, there are some different ppl around of us, who are uncomfortable to use their right foot but I guess they are only few. To sum up, there are no static rules that you only have to use right foot to drive a car. However, I could say that it is safer to use only right foot for driving in A/T. Maybe you are more familiar to use left foot for braking but you CANNOT push ppl to do the same thing, because the driving technique directly connects to someone's safety and even their lives. I personally do not want to see anyone having accidents because of using both feet during driving.
  6. Yeah I will let you know when I have some more info of it.
  7. iw as about to get a set of K-Sports for mine and now i only realised they are for the 4cyl's. These obviously wont work will they....are these teins that your talkin about are they for the V6? The Tein one is for 4Cyl one too from my research, correct me if I'm wrong. I don't think the set for 4 cyl one works on our aurion because of different spring rate since v6 camry is heavier than 4cyl one I guess. So yeah...sounds like we have to wait a bit more till v6 one is out.
  8. Thanks for comments guys. yeah I saw the tein ss set for camry but it's actually for 4cyl one I guess. I found the TEIN USA web site says coilovers for camry 07 are still in developing and it sounds like I have to give a bit more time on it. I found another set from K-Sport for camry 2007 but it's for 4cyl one too. Deng.... :(
  9. There's no doubt Aurion has the best engine and drivetrain at least on the spec from all those engines but, again, every reviews I've read, they all state about handling and dynamics on aurion. To be honest, I haven't driven Ford and Holden before so I have no clues how they feel like. But one thing I feel inconvinient on my Aurion is I could feel the body rolling more than my previous old accord although I have sportivo one. Maybe it's because the driventrain layout is FF and it nibbles the rating on comfy and dynamic comparing with ford and holden since they have FR layout that makes the handling more dynamic and sporty. I really wish if toyota made the suspension a bit harder that doesn't affect on comfy or if Aurion was FR or AWD, it would even be better! :) Apart from that, Aurion is really reliable and great car to drive. maybe it's just me. B)
  10. Oh well...I don't know about Toyota'a sales system but what I can say is you can always negotiate on the price. I am sure the original price from factory is under 25k so the dealer would give you better price if you negotiate well. In some case of the dealer can't give the better price the price stays but what they do is they give you more options or packeages like free tinting or ORC etc.. It all depends on how you negotiate with dealer. Try to visit around 3~4 different toyota dealers near your place and go to the dealer who gives you the most. :D Good luck.
  11. You can easily find one from ebay. The price is even going down due to lots of ppl going for reverse camera. The one I had is pretty similar as the one below. Ebay reverse sensor
  12. Welcome Aboard mate! You won't regeret on your decision. :) Yeah. the large A pillar sometimes being really annoying for me too. I have to move around my head to get the view blocked by the A pillar but I am getting used to it like DJKOR does. :D My first mod was HID kit and rear parking sensor. The Aurion is the biggiest sedan ever I have driven, so I felt the back view from the driver seat was really higher and wider than my previous car. I have had bad experience that a small kid was nearly hit at the back of my car in a parking place so the parking sensor was the No.1 from my MOD list. It only cost me around $40 and I installed it by myself. $40+3hour job was not bad at all and it looks awesome and good for safety. The rearview camera is one of the good option too but at that time I was running on factory headunit that doesn't have screen to show the rear view. My next mod would be coilovers and a decent headunit. I am just waiting for the price drop. BTW, How much did you pay for the set of sway bar??
  13. They have various sizes of offset and PCD on their wheels. When I went to there for my rims they already knew all the info of aurion rim size. They will tell you the size if you ask them like mpresara said but Aurion rims size is +45 offset. I thought +- 10 Offset would be ok to put in unless you lower your car seriously.
  14. Congrats mate! You've got a nice colour one too. Well...yeah.. I promised myself to put ONLY HIDs, wheels and tyres when I got my Aurion but.... Now I wanna upgrade the suspension with coilovers and exhaust. SIGH..... Also the Mesh grill wasn't on my plan but I found a guy selling one and just bought it straight away once I saw it(I was the early one to put the grill on tho). All I can say is good luck. but for me..I just can't stop if I see something new. LOL
  15. I wouldn't worry too much about it because if the needle was on about 60 in 60KM zone, you must not be captured unless you got a mod on your odometers. just make sure you were not driving school zone during school time because the camera might capture your rego plate if you drove higher than 40KM/H during the school time. In fact, there is a slight difference between the real speed and the odo speed about 5%. so if the odo says 100Km/H then the real speed would be about 95Km/H. Also I heard from someone that there are some fake camera flashing to prevent speeding in some of rural, country area nowadays. Also, in my experience, (this might be different depending on areas and situations) the police(with speedgun) doesn't even bother to catch me when I drive at 65Km/H odospeed in 60KM zone. They actully start catching when ppl drive over 10KM from the limit speed. However, from the mobile and fixed camera you better to drive slower than the limit speed from the odometre just for your own safety.
  16. I don't think Toyota cuts the rooftop off when they make the car structure. Like Spooner said the frame is actually pressed by press machine. I woulndn't go for the aftermarket sunroof because I've seen some cases that leaking, cutting the rooftop with wrong measurement, rattles and squeaks. rattle and squeaks are common from the factory one as well but the chance of of getting them is much lower than the aftermarket installation. Also, in case of break down, it's kinda hassle to replace or fix the aftermarket one. Plus the cost is way too much. I rather look for body kits or any other performance tunes with that money. Well...I always wish if I had the moonroof tho.
  17. Welcome aboard! I always wish if I had the sunroof. :D What color is it? I hope I can see the pics soon.
  18. As I know, TRD parts are only sold to TRD owners stricktly. You may ask Toyota dealers but personally I don't think they are gonna accept any orders from overseas even not from TRD owners.
  19. Hi guys. Maybe this question could be really stupid for you guys but I am really having a headache to upgrade my suspension and I need an advice on it. I've got Aurion Sportivo 07 running on 235/35/r20 and the wheel offset is +45(same as factory I guess). Now, I am trying to lower my ride but this is being so hektik because if I drop my car with just changing springs, then the tyres will be scrubing for sure. I am not going to drop seriously like pimping cars neither I don't want to change my tyres too. So, firstly, I am thinking to get the coilover suspensions rather than changing springs because of some reasons. It would cost me alot but after researching on the internet, I found that changing the springs may result in factory suspension failure because of load rating and some other reasons. I know it would not happen in short period time from changing the springs but in case of suspension failure, I wouldn't waste my dollar notes to upgrade the suspension again. Secondly, tyre scrubbing. I have to change my tyres to avoid getting em scrubbed if I lower it by changing springs. I really don't want to change my tyres because I like them and if coilovers can resolve this problem. Additionally, height and damper adjustment sounds really attractive for me cos I ain't drop my ride seriously and still want to improve the cornering perfomance. If there are any set of springs that lowers a bit without scrubbing, I gladly would go for them but unfortuately, 20" are too big to avoid scrubbing with 35 profile tyres on aurion. If coilovers can resolve this problem, I would go for them, because in either way 1)I get the springs and new tyres or 2)getting the coilovers, the 2 options would cost me same $$$. So what do you guys reckon?? Also, I've seen some coilover brands such as tein, blistein, cusco and etc.....but coudn't find any for aurion yet. I heard most parts on aurion are compatible with camry one but I could find only few of coilovers for camry too. DUH... I really appriciate for your comments.
  20. Hey guys. I am planning to upgrade my suspension and I need an advice on it. Firstly, I am thinking to get the coilover suspensions rather than changing springs because of some reasons. It would cost me alot but after researching on the internet, I found that changing the springs may result in factory suspension failure because of load rating and some other reasons. I know it would not happen in short period time from changing the springs but in case of suspension failure, I wouldn't waste my dollar notes to upgrade the suspension again. Also, I saw some threads about rubbing tyres with 20inch wheels. I am running on 235/35/R20 tyres atm and if I change springs, I have to change my tyres to avoid getting em rubbed. I actaully don't wanna chnage my tyres because I like them and if coilovers can resolve this problem. Additionally, height and damper adjustment is really attractive for me because I ain't drop my ride seriously and still want to improve the cornering perfomance. So, is there any coilover suspension available for aurion? What's the approx cost? I've seen some coilover brands such as tein, blistein cusco and etc.....but coudn't find any for aurion yet. I appriciate for your comments in advance.
  21. at 7.8 its obviously better than 9 on 95 so it does make a difference using 98 with a saver docket its better i got800 from one tank and it still only took 65 litres to fill The result may vary depending on driving condition such as city or high speed driving and driving habit. 9L/100k sounds like driving mostly at 80Km/H or faster. 91 also can do less than 10L/100KM when you do 100% highway driving. Also, your driving habit affects the fuel consumption. Accelating hard gives you bad fuel comsumption, of course, but if you are being like a gradma(no offence ), it even gives you 9L/100KM city(50%)+highway(50%) driving. IMO, the higher octane fuel could give you smoother and longer running distance like I stated in other reply, but more importantly, driving habit and condition affect more on fuel consumption.
  22. Always use 91 and no problem at all so far. I normally get average of 11L~12L with 91 from 90% of city driving. I have filled 95 sometimes and found that 95 goes a bit smoother and a bit longer distance than 91 does. Haven't tried 98 yet but I coudln't see any major differences between 91 and 95 so I just go for 91. :)
  23. ZR6 has got the Dual climate control that SX6 doesn't. In new cars, the price difference is about 3~5k.
  24. Looks Great mate. Can't wait to see how ur aurion would be with the lipkit. Please let us know the status of the lipkit. :D
  25. Welcome Aboard. I am glad you are satisfied with your aurion.
