  1. I am in if everything goes ok and someone planning group buy. I am really interested in black grill!!
  2. The advantage plan on my aurion is 60k or 3 years. I confirmed it when I had headlight problem and they showed me the whole screen that my aurion is on advantage plan for first 60k or 3 years. If you are sure about 15k or 12 months on advantage plan, I think there's an option that you might choose on length of period. So..yeah, I am prety sure it's 60k or 3 years. Also the warranty, I asked the guy from toyota service department and he said mine is 2 years fixed no matter you get regular serviced or not. Even the advantage plan is totally upto you to get it done or not. It doesn't affect the plan you are on. That is what I heard from terry shield toyota in Paramatta, Sydney.
  3. Yeah I have had same that problem and it is all about the pump not your car. so next time try another pump and if it keeps happening on other pump as well then try another petrol station.
  4. I just fixed it. One of the alternator fuses was blown and didn't notice it. Now the warning light is gone. :) Thanks guys!
  5. Thanks for your comment DJKOR. I knew you're gonna answer at the first position!! :) I already checked the belts and they looked fine and all tensioned. BTW how do you take the two big fuses out? I was trying to take them out by pulling them but they are kinda stuck and didn't get pulled. So if it is just fuse problem, which I wish, there's no problem of driving the car, right? I was worrying that if the alternator is faulty, and my car gets stopped in the middle of the road. It sounds like I have to take a look at the fuses again tomorrow. :(
  6. Hi guys. I think I am having trouble with eletro system. The situation is that I tried to install my dvd system on my aurion. and I am pretty sure I did correct job on wiring and the dvd player was playing. so I turned off the car because I was just turning the car on to check the dvd player was working properly. After I finished installing I started car again and everything was fine so I turned car off. However, I had to go somewhere after that so I started my car again and then the battery warning light came on. It doesn't get off during the driving. I checked all the small fuses from the main fuse box under bonnet and one of the radio fuse was blown so I changed. I couldn't check the 2 big bulk fuses becos I don't know how to take them out but all the small fuses are ok after replacing the blown fuse. Is there any other fuse box in the car?? My previous car had another fuse box inside of car but I couldn't find any in my aurion. The battery warning light is still on, So I had to take everything back to factory stock and the warning light still doesn't go off. One strange thing is that if there's something wrong with battery or alternator, I may not be able to start the car becos of the flat battery but it seems fine cos I was driving for a while in the night time after the warning light is on, and at that time my headlights are on and also the stock audio was on pretty loud. So I am lost now and I took everything back to stock even headlight to call toyota. :( Before I go to toyota, is there anything I have to check? I told that one of my friend used to work at subaru, and he said it could be the alternator. Does anyone have any idea about it? Thanks for your help in advance.
  7. Yeah, I wouldn't give it a try before everything is clear. I think we really need an expert to explain and analyze on this matter. I really am wondering how acoustik has played with all those calbes and made it working. I'm curious as well. The best solution I have found is to dissect the old factory stereo and remove the main circuit board. Then to plug the remote harness into that and 'hide' the circuit board somewhere. It is quite odd that they have chosen to have the control circuitry for the steering wheel buttons in the stereo; which runs independently since the stereo doesn't need to have power applied to it for that end of the circuit to work. In a way, I guess that means Toyota can get it their way by preventing aftermarket modifications. Oh. you mean I can just remove the board from HU and hide it after connecting the harness into the board? Does display button still work in that way without any power supply to it??

  9. I think you better have a look at the Electric wiring diagram. The manual is on this forum one of the pinned at the top. It gives you all the details of eclectric wiring diagram of GSV40 Series and ACV40 Series. The GSV40 is aurion. I saw the diagram but personally I have no idea about Electricity thing. It does show some diagram of steering wheel buttons too so someone please explain what we have to do. I am talking about that sticky post too. It is US V6 Camry service manual, GSV40 is not Aurion but Camry V6, they are 99% the same but not identical, at least DISP button is not. If we have the real Aurion manual, we can compare and find out which one of the 4 wires from steering pad switch assembly is DISPLAY button and jump it to the correct spot in Head unit. Of course, some one who is familiar with car electronic can study the US Camry service manual, find out which spot is DISPLAY button and test all the 4 wires by trial and error. I don't think anyone out there has leaked te Aurion service manual. We need someone nice enough from Toyota to do that for us first. As for the DISP button thing; I've looked into it, and from my perspective, it is definitely a digital circuit. I have tested both from the point of the steering wheel controls and from the end of the harness at the stereo end. I would help to find a solution if I could, but I don't want to risk destroying something that works, without first learning about the backbones of this system. My testing wasn't extensive, but my readings were from the stereo end: Purple: 0V when ignition is off - 10.97V when ignition is on. Pink: 0V when ignition is on or off - 4.69V when DISP button is pressed - 10.97V when parker lights are on (will remain at 10.97V even if DISP is pressed) Orange: 0V when ignition is on or off - 4.69V when DISP button is pressed - 10.97V when parker lights are on (will remain at 10.97V even if DISP is pressed) Yellow: 0V when ignition is on or off - 4.69V when DISP button is pressed - 10.97V when parker lights are on (will remain at 10.97V even if DISP is pressed) As you can see, the pink, orange, and yellow all behave the same when the DISP button is pressed. One interesting note is that pressing any of the audio buttons on the steering wheel gave no readings on those wires when pressed. These conditions can easily change when they are in circuit. If you see the diagrm from sticky post, the purple(violet in the diagrm) is the only one connected directly to the speedo circuit and it seems like it's independent from the other 3 cables(orange, pink and yellow). I can't be sure I got the right idea or not, but from the diagram, I can't find the display button although all other buttons, such as seek and mode, are named in steering pad sw section in the diagram. So in that case, I guess the violet one looks like the display button circuit. If I assume the violet is the display button, can I just hook it up with ignition cable? What would be the worst case of connecting wrong cable? Can anyone please explain this diagram and give us any hints?

  11. Nope I got the display to work, you can bypass the HU, the HU doesnt control the display, so look for a orphan wiring that is neither power, antenna or speakers and bingo. Can you please explain? I was thinking to connect that cable with other cable such as ground? cos it looks like nothing with HU. But I am just worrying about if I connect it with wrong one and the display is f**ked. Which cable (which colour?) did you hook it up to?
  12. I've been thinking that one but I don't think it makes the display button working. All I need is display button and I don't worry about mode, volume and seeking buttons.
  13. Hi guys. I've been reading some threads about steering wheels buttons with headunit matters. Now I am confusing because of the Display button. What I know, from this forum, is the display button is connected to headunit. So, if I change the headunit with aftermarket one, the display button does not work at all? Simply I don't care about volume and seek buttons but I really do need the display button because of the trip computer and fuel consumption digital metre stuffs. I am going to install the aftermarket dvd player on this friday or saturday and I saw the thread about display button which is embarassing me. Can anyone give me the clear and simple answer about it? Thanks for your help in advance.
  14. Wow...You've done that so many times! Of course it should be easy for you haha. I have put my front and rear bumper like 3 or 4 times and I still remember how to do it. Always, the first time is the hardest moment I guess cos we have no idea how to do it on first try. BTW, I think you can put those instruction and pictures in new thread as 'howto', so one of the moderator can pin it. I think that would help alot more people who would like to install their own Audio system. Also, I could have a look at it when I forget how to do it too. :) Once again, I really appriciate for your help.
  15. OMG... YOU ARE THE MAN!! This is exactly what I wanted. Thank you very much DJKOR! It really helps me alot!! My both Thumbs up!!
  16. Hi guys. It seems like many ppl have done on their stereo system in this forum so I need some info about removing the factory head unit cos I am going to install DVD player and speakers this sunday. I think I have to take the whole centre trim off first and I got some pics of centre trim from DJKOR's posts. How about the Audio unit? Anyone has pictures of changing it? Any tips would be appriciated. :D
  17. Hi. I remember there are some posts about this issue and ppl say toyota or Aerpro sell the kits for fitting after market headunit into the place. However, I got some questions here about both kits from toyota and Aerpro. When you have a look at Aerpro, I don't see any kits could fit on my aurion but some ppl already got some from Aerpro and they all fit. Which one did you order if you have one from Aerpro? Another question here is about toyota's one. I think AcoustiK has one from toyota and he's got Double din one, right? I purchased my dvd/cd player with monitor and it is 2 x single din unit. in this case, does toyota's one fit with those? or it is just gonna fit only with double din one? cos I have seen some double dins which don't allow to put 2xsingle din units in. Any advice?
  18. I think we can call him 'Lord of Aurion' too. If you see alot of his posts and knowledge about aurion, I feel like he is from one of the toyota development ppl.
  19. Em..single/double din means all about size depends on ISO(International Organization for Standardization). Let me just explain with picture without any jargon. :D If you see the picture, there are 2slots (cd/dvd player & empty slot underneath). If any of cd/dvd players uses 1 slot(like the picture), it means single din. Sometimes, players are bigger than 1 slot and takes 2 slots, it is double din. I hope this helps you to get what din means. :)
  20. i dont think toyota made it, check Aerpro, they are the one who sell the $30 fascia kit. this question is answered at least 3 times... I am just wondering... From Aerpro, which kit does exactly fit with aurion? I am a bit confused because there is nothing for aurion and it seems like I have to get one of camry one right? but which one? YOU OBVIOUSLY HAVENT BEEN READING OTHER PEOPLES POSTS,,, ITS NOT AN AERPRO ITEM YOUR AFTER. I know all the replies talking about you can get it from toyota BUT like I said i was just wondering which one (exact kits or model name) I have to get if I buy it FROM AERPRO. The reason why I was asking is I don't wanna be bothered of looking for the extra kit to fit it perfectly. However, AERPRO has got all the pieces included and I don't need to look for any other extra stuffs. MAYBE YOU DID NOT SEE THE QUOTE THAT I USED. :P

  22. As I said, here are some photos. I've taken a few... feel like showing off the clean white light. You will notice the side markers aren't really all that bright on the ground. I'm not too fussed on changing them to something brighter since the main purpose was to just change all bulbs to LED's. I don't see any purpose other than for letting others notice that the door is open, and the intensity of the light is enough to notice that. With headlights: Without headlights: Looks nice.. Your pics made me thinking of changing all the interior bulbs too.
