  1. Good work mate. It looks like this thread contains most of our concerns, solutions and suggestions in aurion. DJKOR, Lord of the Aurion.
  2. Sheepskin covers in Summer...emm... It might be good in winter time tho..
  3. OK, here we go. From the long and big amount of research on coilovers for my aurion, I finally decided to get a set of BC racing (Not Buddy Club) coilover. I checked alot of threads on many coilover brands regarding on quality & price. My first thought was K-sport coilover but there is no direct supplier in Australia which means more middle man + higher price. The average price I got quoted from many suppliers was around $1800. And then, I found the fact that D2, G4 and K-sport are all same just different labels and paint on them. In addition, I found alot of negative feedbacks from those brands(no offence for anyone having them) and they all have same common problems that 1. the ride is being too bumpy, 2. noise from the mount top or somewhere else and 3. the Lifespan is noticeably short(normally leaking problem). There are some outstanding brands which are Tein, Cusco or DMS but they are really expensive, for instance, DMS hits the 3k~4k mark and they are way out of my budget.. Of course they mostly have good feedbacks especially on tracks, but I am not going to tracks anyway and the reason I am after the coilover is I cannot lower my car without changing whole tyres because I have 35 profile tyres cause scrubbing.. I found BC racing coilover and they are getting quite good feedbacks on normal street use. Not too bumpy as D2 or G4 and reliable qulity(because they use thicker tube??). Furthermore, the price is quite cheap comparing with D2 or K-sport and after sale service is impressive from forums based in the States. Well, I am trying out a set of Camry 2007 with 8kg/front and 6kg/rear. The kit is being shipped today or tomorrow so I might get it delivered next Tue or Weds. I hope the kit is perfect fit onto aurion without any problems and it would slove my tyres scrubbing in lowering, so we can have another alternative option for lowering. I will keep updating it.
  4. IMO, tempe tyres is an ok option if your budget is limited but you have to be really PICKY on tyres in there otherwise they will just put any tyres they want. In my case,as above, I bought a set from tempe tyres with 92 loadrated tyres. I didn't even ask them about the loadrating for some reasons, 1.I was in rush, 2. I thought they give legal standard at least for each car and 3. I thought it shouldn't be wrong because they said they are putting KUMHO tyres(I really satisfied with many of kumhos in the past time on 17" and thought it would be ok for 20" too). I just noticed the loadrating a couple of days ago but I don't think I can bring them back.
  5. If you want to remove it properly, refer to the following service manual: http://www.camrystuff.com/manuals/Gen6/2GR-FE/Interior.pdf Page 22 onwards describes the process. Definitely not for the faint hearted. Yes! I was expecting you. Thanks again Daryl. Whenever, I need to disassemble something on my aurion, you are the one always gives me a clear answer. Thnumbs up!
  6. If you are looking for 20" rims, just be careful with loadrating since Aurion has 93 in load rating and there are not many tyres available with 93 or higher load rating especially in 30 profile tyres. I've got 20" rims with 35 profile tyres and the tyres are 92 in loadrating. DUH.. It is about how tempe tyres makes some money out of it. DODGY. I better be careful of getting caught by popos so I don't get any possible fines with the loadrating. Anyways, I'm gonna change the tyres with proper loadrating when they are worn. BTW, I've seen someone with 10"wide rims on Aurion. I've seen it from the internet, somewhere, but couldn't find it again.
  7. Mine started to rattle from the driver side rooftop. It sounds like there are some wires going through at the rooftop and it just fell down because of subwoofer vibration. I never had this rattle before I installed my sub. Anyone knows how to disassemble the carpet on the rooftop? This really annoys me when I drive Paramatta road which makes me feeling driving on offroad. :(
  8. I know. I was just showing off :D HEHE..I was too lazy to take another pic and I found a pic in the other angle. So yeah..just flipped it over from photoshop. By the way, the TRD badge is not there anymore. Someone tried to take it out when I parked my car on public road in the night time and just left the badge there half folded.:(
  9. They look just fit to me becoz when I see my car from the back, I don't see the wheels over the tyres anyways. Here are some pics you can see.
  10. I've got 235/35 ZR20 .I don't think they look small nor big. They just look ok for now but I am trying to get a set of coilover in next 2 weeks period and just waiting for arranging payment method. I found a set of coilover for aurion and I will keep you posted how it goes. Here is my pic anyway.
  11. I was talkin to someone at the wheels place today and they recon that 245/30/20's dont have the load rating for that size car and told me to go 35 profile...is this right? i would rather not go 35's I am pretty sure there are couple of tyre brands available. I remember bondie had problems with lowering spring with 35 profile tyres on 20". Check this thread. it might be helpful for ya.:) NEED HELP ON LOWERING INFO ABOUT RUBBING, 20 INCH WHEELS LOWERED PEDDERS SPRINGS = RUBBING
  12. IMO, 2009 avalon is a twin brother of aurion because the engine spec is same. I found engine info of 2009 avalon as below: Configuration : Type 3.5L V-6 268 HP Location : front engine Displacement : 3,456 cc 3.5 liters Bore / Stroke : 94.0 mm bore, 83.1 mm stroke, 10.8 compression ratio Valvetrain : double overhead cam, variable valve timing/camshaft and four valves per cylinder 2GR-FE Fuel feed : Multi-point injection fuel system Performance : Power: 200 kW , 268 HP SAE @ 6,200 rpm; 248 ft lb , 336 Nm @ 4,700 rpm Full spec is on 2009 Avalon Spec Personally, it's not my taste tho..
  13. Sigh...really sorry to hear that. I am really wondering why ppl doing this? Just being a kid? or kids without brain to think? This is really annoying for all of car owners for sure because I also got a small key scratch about 5cm on driver side door right after I registered mine. I felt like my anger gauge almost hit the top at that time. Anyways, I hope everything is gonna be sorted out for you without any more stress.
  14. Yeah I am quite sure that is normal. some other cars may be different like my old car which was honda accord and it pointed at 8:00. But for aurion middle is 100% ok I guess.
  15. Woot...apologies for the double posting. something wrong with internet when I hit the Add reply button.
  16. IMO, it's because there's no manual transmission available from all of aurion lines including TRDs. I accept there are lots of ppl with different taste and this is one of the different taste too. I know aurion is a family sedan but it shouldn't necessariliy only be a method for A to B transportation since many customers like me want more than that nowadays. Also, on the manual shifting on aurion, if I use the words from Toyota's home page, it could not only be used for towing and hill climbing but also it could make the driver having more involvement into the driving and that's the purpose of TOYOTA on that transmission. Since aurion has 6 gears, it could make some more fun of driving than classic automatic transmission if the shifting lag wasn't that bad we're talking on this thread.. I would have already bought one if there's a manual transmission available on aurion.:(

  18. Have you checked KYB or some other suspension brands? I am quite sure they have some. Also, just a quick note that any suspension parts of camry 2007+ are compatible with aurion.
  19. I would say the gear shifting lag is the worst. If I have to say the second worst part of aurion, it would be the wind noise during the driving. I don't open the rear windows when I drive faster than 70km because I feel really bad that my ears are being deafened by the wind noise. It's kinda hard to explain but it is not just wind noise and it makes my ears a bit wired. The symptom is like, I am in the airplane changing the altitude suddenly which causes atmospheric pressure difference and my ears got deafened. Maybe, it's just me.
  20. Yeah. I bought mine from fatsatman and it was real good deal. I am still so happy with the unit and thanks to fatsatman. Again, he's offering another great deal too! I got the package in secure, nothing is damaged and including whole thing I needed for the installation. I can guarantee if someone buy it from him, it's a good deal. I just wich if I could get this another unit from him. hehe. BTW, I am sorry to hear that you sold your aurion, fatsatman. You going to get ZR6 soon? Just wondering, why are you selling this unit? You may install it when you get your new aurion is delivered. Anyways, Thanks again, fatsatman.
  21. Yeah. If we can make it, count me in for both front and rear struts. How much would that be anyway?roughly??
  22. You know.. regarding on the sterring wheel buttons, there's an way you can still use the display button with aftermarket HU. You can just take the board (reasonably small as big as a CD maybe?) off from the factory unit which is connected with steering wheel control wires and hide it somewhere that you can't see, for example, under the steering wheel. That would enable the display button back. I was doing this when I had cheap ebay DVD HU with screen and the display button worked fine. In my case, I had to connect the other wire to make it worked but most of ppl in this forum who got the aftermarket HU, just connecting the steering wheel wires to the board makes the display button back to work.
  23. Sorry mate. the price is way over my budjet. I brought all of them around $300 including sound deadening materials. I would buy yours if you mis-typed 1 infront of 300.
