  1. I've 'learnt' the size of the car now and have confidence i can park without touching. Anyway, i have a tow bar and nudge bar, it wont scratch my car! lol Not that i wouldnt leave my details....
  2. LOL. If i got 5 years out of a tyre, i'd be laughing. Im lucky to get 12 months, on my barina, even with non-switchable traction control, i've gone through the front set from new in 11 months... I just want to do this excersive not to make it last but to maximise the tyres i have.
  3. The spare is full size allow, thats the thing, i really want to have the choice of getting a different brand tyre(hopefully) that wont require me to redraw on my loan LOL I was think if i didnt touch the spare, i can buy 1 new matching and 2 new (other brand) tyre, they say it is legal as long as both front are matching and both rear are too... My front outside of the tyres seem to be wearing abit.
  4. Maybe they have 17" mickey thomsons that will come in crome and black that will fit our Klugers? probably cost just as much as 4x current size tyres but include new rims...
  5. Anyone know what the best rotation method is using all 5 x 19" wheels on the AWD model? I searched this up and it says for AWD, do the cross method, which is front left to rear right, front right to rear left, but for 5 wheel rotation it says to always use the spare on the rear right but if you do this on a cross rotation, you never use the spare on the front right or rear left wheel???? Anyone got suggestions, as im about to rotate these things in the next week when i hit 5000k's. Due to cost, i want these 19" to last as long as possible....
  6. No problems here either. If its scratching your cd, maybe there are foreign objects that has got into it!?
  7. 28 for offroad is good, then drop it more if required
  8. SGIO and NRMA wont insure Victorians, damn, they are so cheap. Oh well seems i did pretty good then.
  9. Get it checked again as it could be a faulty unit. If the lights are on the dash, it means it aint working and that cannot be good. I havent even had the light come on in day to day driving, but the 4wd makes it so grippy. Cant wait to go offroad.
  10. It will be the head unit settings. Turn off auto answer and try it out. we have it set a 8secs but are not as popular so we dont normally get two calls at once..lol
  11. If you use 95 premium, you will get better economy compared to 91 regular. I thought i'd test it again with 91 last week, shot up to 14.4L, today, premium full tank, 11.2L after some highway.
  12. Mine barely holds when i mash it down to the firewall, but too bad if i accidentally put it into R instead of P, i tested it, straight down backwards FAST. Getting mine checked again next week, with the side steps which seem one side is not put on properly. Also the new plastic replacement cover at the rear above the towbar seems to have broken a clip. Very weak. Has anyone else noticed lots of surface rust spots on their towbar whilst looking from underneath? Once we get a few dry days im going to spray it myself, dont trust the dealer to do a good job.
  13. Firstly, no towing until 800ks as per handbook*(i think it was 800...), try not to use cruise at the one speed. IE, dont travel 500k's at 100k/hr. Alter your speed, maybe 100, then 95 then 90 then 100... and also at other speeds. I found with my old car the Vz commodore it can change down a gear which means it rev'ed at different levels but same speed. Not use to the klugers gear change as yet, im still looking for the padle shift... Brakes need to bed in as well, so no stomping on em.
  14. AAMI is mine, rating 1 for life, <30 (well im 30 this year...) I guess some got better, never actually called those other companys, under $500!!!!! WOW i didnt think it existed... Tasmania should get higher premiums as when they drive over here in vic, they cause more accidents... LOL just kidding guys
  15. I paid a little more fleet pricing, but had quite a few goodies that i wanted.
  16. Hey guys, i was going to raise this before i purchased, but i found alot of companies charged $1000+ for rating 1 comprehensive insurance. Anyone found this was the case? I paid $774!
  17. We went with the KXS as the interior just looks(and feels) so much more luxurious. Remember the tires on the S are around $500 each though, so be prepared when it comes time to change all 4...
  18. Ive only ever been to bulla once and other times to falls creek, got chains for a regular car size wheel, not these things.
  19. lexus cars do that as well, under a small bridge and their lights come on for 2 seconds then off again, must be annoying.
  20. what speed do you avg for that economy? Also how can you tell if the torque converter locks up?
  21. wow $440 just for snow chains, for just 1 trip i intend to make, wish they told us the day before if chains are required. Ive never been to lake mountain, do they often require chains?
  22. How much were those chains? And where can you get it?
  23. The site says chains for 2wd, so 4wd all clear? Dont want to get there and dissapoint the kids. Is entry $25? per car? just to C snow?
  24. How come snow chains are not required? We were looking at going somewhere, and that seems good. Dont have chains for 19"!
  25. Its not just for leather, its also bigger wheels and tyre, bluetooth, climate control, roof rails, fog lights, and the feel of the leather is much much better than the kxr.
