  1. The oem tyre are $$$, unless you can find it cheap via ebay when others upgrade to 20" or the like. Also ive had 2 punctures luckily both were repairable...Though $27.50 each time. Maybe as it will be a spare, when one of us upgrades to new tyres and has a spare at the store, maybe they can give it to you as it will only be a spare anyway?? I'll be replacing mine december onward or when the fronts are worn, could be longer.
  2. How can they be pricy as it has fixed priced servicing up until certain number of k's?? Do you guys get this up there?
  3. nope, got it from ebay. So check it out. No point if you arent local as courier costs would be around $150 interstate. Theres a set of 4 grande rims in nsw somewhere current only $300 bucks! 1 new tyre in the set of 4!!!!!!!! good luck to those in nsw.
  4. nope, not a trike, but they are brand new with stickers on them as well. Bargain, 2 for the fronts when they go and 1 for next time...
  5. I managed to pick up 3 x d400's for tyre only, no fitment for just $300 each!!!!!! bargain, dont even need them yet lol
  6. I also work for a national company which means if i didnt want a to lease and had that much CASH, i could have paid for it at this price...not that i thinkanything would have this much hanging around. VIC - nudge bar, wiring for driving lights, rubber mat, side steps, tow bar, floor mats, light protectors, bonnet protector, Oh by the way, one stupid thing with the kluger, the change gear selector, it isnt that good of useful, its not like a commodore which holds the gear you want, it just swithes you from 5 spd auto to 4sp to 3sp to 2 spd.... Otherwise FANTASTIC DRIVE!
  7. We got the kxs awd with pretty much all you options and a few more, $52k drive away.
  8. anything around 30psi in my opinion is too low, not only higher on fuel, but probably more wear on the outside front tyres. I run 42psi front and 38 rear, cant feel the difference due to softish suspension. we use mainly bp ultimate and get around 14 around town, but once aagain it wife and school runs, but on good country runs we can get down to 10's, even lower if we refill when already in country.
  9. by the looks of those "small" 22's 31's may fit fine! lol Let us know how you go with raising it, maybe go for airbag so it will be low on the road and high for offroad only? More stable on the highway then.
  10. i drove a vz v6 commodore for 2yrs and 127500kms without a problem, so i think its a grad for cash really. and these toyota engines should keep on going and going and....better than holdens...
  11. Any pics? also whay size tyres are on those 22's? Maybe 24's willfill out the wheel arch better:)
  12. it only clunks as the handbrake probably doesnt hold it properly(most dont on hills) and hence the cars weight is held by P, or park. If you follow the previous instructions re neutral it can help, only if the handbrake holds, which mine doesnt and my driveway is on a slope...if you are on a slope, try parking in the opposite direction, hence reverse in instead of driving straight in, mine holds better with the boot uphill. It shouldnt matter about the revs from my experience
  13. We went with the kxs as we didnt like the following on the grande 1. FAKE woodgrain trim(they said i could take it off and paint it!?!?!?! 2. The dvd is great, but since when it is being used, i could not utilise the rear vision mirror, i opt to keep out $400 headrest dvd screens, which we only use on long trips. 3. They dont have memory seats. for this u need to go for the calais sportswagon, which was the other car we were considering. but alot less space. 4. If you really want satnav(which all the ones ive used are ****) you can spend up to $2000 and get built in digital tv as well, so save the $8k and do that? 5. the factory nudge bar is fantastic looking(with a good set of spotties), you dont want one that isnt toyota approved as it may well stop your airbag sensors working and hence not deply in a serious crash, if you have a non factory nudge bar, also a heavier duty one may also be much heavier in weight and hence, may affect your cars weight balance..
  14. As i requested to have them, alot of my acessories were marked really cheap, this item was marked NO CHARGE so hence, i dont have a price. By the way, my toyota roadside was $40 for 1yr....I assume thats $120 over 3 yrs??? hmmmm i havent had a renewal notice as yet, i think i joined about 1mth after i got it. nearly time to renew i guess. Its a shame toyota dont have this included as part of the deal, like holden do. Yes they dont really break down so they should get a better deal with these roadside assist companies?
  15. Toyota actually have ones to fit i believe, as when i negotiated the accessories, i requested lock nuts from day dot. We also took out the roadside assist as they were cheaper than racv and tows unlimited kms to the closest toyota dealer(even if i am 1000ks away! lol
  16. Us awd kluger owners cant be hoons, as we cannot spin any wheels for any significant amount of time, maybe a second...thats on bad roads. THe awd is excellent, not the same as the rav4 one, but the rav4 can lock it in 50:50 VIA BUTTON on dash.
  17. They are great if you have kids, makes it so easy for them to get in and out.
  18. Dont even bother with E10, the savings as the pump is lost in consumption. Mine went to 18L be 100k! Trying ultimate 98 bp currentyly, getting 14.5L but thats towing on short stop start traffic, was getting 16L with regular under normal driving, so im impressed!
  19. no but if you go ahead, let us know how it goes and sounds:) For a vt commodore extractors and exhaust, it was about 1250
  20. kwach10, let us know how u go with your toyo;s wear, it will be interesting to see how it wears compared to oem.
  21. at least u know that if it rolls it retains its shape pretty well! lol u'd have 2 b doing something stupid to get it to roll, drive sensibly, it aint a sports car.
  22. what, $660 for the remote or the whole dvd system?
  23. I dont know, but the climate control is silly anyway, on hotter days, say 27c you can set it to 24c and you can feel freezing still, and other days when outside temp is say 20c, if you put it on 19c and it seems hot still. I think the outside temp affects the way in which the climate works There is one member on another topic who has taken his climate apart, maybe you can browse an old topic, and find the member in q's
  24. If u want go economy, go for front wheel drive model, if you want the extra safety, go for awd. I average around 15-16l but thats mainly the school trip and the wife drives 90% of the short trips,. yes it drops on hwy but you wont get anywhere near the commodores fuel economy. I guess it depends how you drive as well.
