  1. Coopers dont go to 19! nor 18 i dont think?
  2. It really doesnt matter as it is such a big tyre and wheel, i aint scratched it yet! lol. You sort of go up the kerb if anything. I did test drive a car that did this, not sure if it was the grande or calais i test drove./...i think it might be the calais, but those mirrors are too small!
  3. Those photos dont look too bad. Can anyone tell me as its not loading, what the wear index for the bridgestone is?> apparently the toyos are 600+ but the ones on my car doesnt say anything...
  4. We knew it was different, when they replaced the tyre they were lazy and just took a spare from a grande, i knew something was wrong right away, even toyota staff and salesmen were not aware! my god.
  5. Those painted on the roads around here we just run over! lol Well im taking the plunge tomorrow, im getting an independent tyre store to take the actual tyre off and put it back the other way, hence start wearing the untouched side, and still keeping my tyre legal for another 10k?? maybe... Yes i told my wife that she can only turn left from now on, im sure we could do it, then theres the extra fuel etc.....
  6. Thats the point, its not even 1 yr old, toyota should fork out to investigate this thoroughly, in the mean time, provide alternate transport, and fix the darn thing. I love the drive, love the car, just too bad about this issue which has been the only major problem i have. Saving? Cheaper to get those toyo's i think they are just over $300 each... capali - hopefully not Hey if your 17"s are wearing in th emiddle, normally this is caused by too higher pressure in your tires! Try a lower pressure, although, im running 40psi to keep rolling to a minimum....might have to upgrade to 17's to save on costs, and get long wearing MUD TERRAin stuff...lol
  7. To date still no resolution to the excessive front left outside wear. Anyone else having problems? Has it been fixed? Im looking at the 2nd replacement and the cars barely done 19k's!
  8. IF you have cleaned your interior of kids rubbish, there are vents under your front seats. I keep it on the roof as on hot days its better to cool their upper body, maybe feet for winter?
  9. Of course we did., the cx9 and cx7 are too inefficient! Although i wish mine was better, i've been getting 16L with short drives but drops pretty quick when i get on a highway!
  10. Is it really got 240kw? Aint it the same engine as kluger? ANyone know the diference?
  11. Hey guys, i've had the kxs for touch over 6mhts, and havent encountered a situation where the front sensor is required, as once you've been use to the size (from a COmmodore) , you just know how big it is. Also rear has camera so once again, i'd rather see what i was doing than have the beeping as well(kids make enough noise)
  12. I found our spare to be 50psi, they obviously didnt let this down. I set mine at 38-40psi, but still getting unacceptable front left wheel wear.
  13. Do you mean the side indicators? My little barina has the grab handle and its easy, right on the end of the hatch, but this is annoying and we both rarely use it.
  14. On a similar topic, i wish there was a grab handle in a more appropriate spot, the material tag is just not good enough, i find myself pulling down on the paintwork as the material grad handle seems to be on a wrong angle for me(6foot) Does the Highlander have the same setup?
  15. Has anyone upgraded their factory exhaust? I want better sound, and maybe more power, or does anyone else have any other suggestions or upgrades to air intake to improve this?
  16. Has anyone for camber measurements for their Front wheels? preferably S or Grande models?
  17. Maybe at 80,000? I use to do 20k in 3 mths. I guess they gotta try at least to get more money from us above the fixed price scheduled services.
  18. remember you cant disable it while on the move! you can press it once, which takes traction off but stability on, which is pointless as if do lose traction it kicks back in straight away, of hold it down for 5+ seconds and it is fully off, traction and stability. It would be interesting whether the traction control does work well on slippery stuff compared to having it completely off?
  19. I believe it has been mentioned prior. If you press hard, it activates it for 3-4seconds, if you change you mind or it was an accident, press hard again, and it disables it immediately. I just accelerate which seems to disable it anyway. Great if your looking for a quick getaway at the lights:) not that i would be doing this though...
  20. I had this happen with the traction control system before, on slippery ice, it runs out of brake vacuum? Therefore cannot continue in my cause give me traction control, likewise i guess if dac is braking continuously, it would loose brake pressure eventually. I guess we need to come to complete stop, then give it a minute to recover?
  21. Ill be keeping mine for about 10years if it survives and i can afford tyres! LOL I'll get a new car for myself when my lease finishes in 3 yrs.
  22. DOnt get them through toyota, i believe i saw them advertised at bselect or some dedicated tyre place for couple hundred less... same unit! I just check it about every 2 weeks, handy with your own air compressor and accurate gauge:) and do it cold, not after a long run.
  23. PS landkluger > i hope yours is fixed, but i hope it wasnt false hope like mine, where i thought it was resolved but the feathering continued...even with 1x tyre replaced for free.
  24. Yes, thats what happened with mine, as i was checking it and at 9k, 3mths old, they said its normal to need aligning this model every 6 months, i told them what i thought of it. Unfortunately even though the alignment has been done, my issue continues, they are awaiting feedback from head office technical support. Wheel alignment done multiple times, the truth i reakon was in the figures given, if anyone has their alignment printout, tell us here what the Camber for the front wheels are. They are meant to be factory -0"38' (+ or -) 0"45'. therefore quite a broad range. Mine since the begining has been set for the left front wheel, the main culprit, at between -1"20' and -1"35', therefore according to all the tyre people in this world, this feathering should not occur and if it was set at the factory specs, my situation would be far worse. To me, since the front right is set at -0"50', it seems even from the manufacturer, they are aware of the issue and compensate somewhat for this by having a great negative camber, to reduce the wear.... Not good enough JAN! And its not even driving anywhere as hard as i would have in a sedan or my little barina sri! I would definitely scrub these tyres in weeks rather than years!. If anyone has their camber, let us know what yours is set at(19" wheels only, so KXS and Grande models) as it seems noone with 17" KXR has an issue that i know of.
  25. I didnt put it on but it only has the two mounting spots through the bumber bar holes and two support nuts underneath, i dont think it would be hard to remove.
