Insurance claims

Yeah haha. Lucky for me, I only had to pay the base excess which was $400. I'm currently with AAMI. Was recommended by a friend and it was very cheap compared to other insurance companies. Been reading up about people's experiences with different companies and seems like AAMI is like a hit and miss. Hope it's not like that in my case :( for rac if its written off and its drivable you have 7 days to give it to them Yeah I read that also. I read that they'll take pics of your car by the assessor and then you get 7 days to drive it. If you remove any parts which was visible in the photo then they may void your claim I'm trying to fix the dents myself at the moment while I wait for my windows to get put in :( Don't want my car to be a write off cos I probably won't be getting as much as I'd like for my car :(
2. Right click the image you want. If you're using Mozilla Firefox, select 'Copy Image Location' Then over here put it in the wraps e.g. (without the space at the end)
3. I seriously cannot believe you all want to pay this much for HID's... mine cost me ... drumroll please... $70 inc postage! and they are sitting at home, i took them out lol however, its whatever your instincts tell you, i had mine sent from china or asia somewhere... and took a chance, and i was quite happy with them, i only removed them, cause i found out they were BRIGHT AS F!!! :P Keep looking around, there are always other options available... (if anyone is interested, i can sell you my kit) Also, for those playing at home, HID's are illegal in Reflector headlights... but you already knew that XD Evo Yeah I bought mine for about $70 too off ebay. I think most ebay ones are about the same quality anyway. Installation isn't hard at all as well so you could save yourself a bit of money there.
4. Woah. It looks so different. Looks quite modern but will probably need to get used to it.

Yeah. I decided that I'm going to remove all my parts tomorrow because I was reading on other forums that some people get their car taken away on the spot upon inspection and I don't want to lose any more money :(
6. seems like all the guys back from tc.org are buying their cars back. I wouldn't mind buying back my old twinky in a few months time. Nice buy BKS :)

Alright. Cheers. I was worried that insurance companies might be nazi's and trying to find out every reason why not to cover for my car.

10. Nice simple guide man. Pretty much the same deal for the Celica haha. Very easy to take off and put on our front bumpers :)
11. Hey guys. I gotta make a claim for my car, as some of you know, a few days ago Perth got basically sh#t on hard. Now I have made a claim for my car. But I just realized since I got my car and insurance, I have added extra parts to the car which I don't think it's covered. I'm with AAMI full comprehensive insurance and the car damage is only cosmetic (dents all over the car) but should I be removing these parts off so that my car safe or would it not matter for insurance purposes since it is weather damage and not at my fault at all. I only have CAI and HID and aftermarket exhaust installed on my car. Cheers guys.

That's actually a good idea I reckon. It is on your property after all? to the OP: I was pretty much in the same position. Imagine what happened when the police showed up at my door haha.

16. Yeah. It's not doing anyone any good at all! Being without a car pretty much sucks for me, as I need to travel every day :(
17. I just got to UWA gym when this happened.. my car window is gone. cbf re uploading pics but should be able to view them. got quite a few shots of the damage. basically rear window smashed.. crack on front windscreen and dents ALL over the car. 18. Ahh I was just using an ordinary screw driver to remove the screw. Two of them were able to come out but it was just this third one that got forked up :( Sorry guys, I think I got the term wrong. It's actually the top bit, where the you place the screwdriver onto the screw.
19. Hey there guys. I was trying to clean my ICV on my celica the other weekend but while trying to remove it from the TB, I have seem to damaged one of the screws, meaning that I can no longer take it apart. Is there a way to rectify this problem? or would I probably need to take it somewhere to get it fixed and dismantled. If so would just any mechanics be able to do it or are there any places that you guys know of? Thanks
20. That looks really well done. Good job mate.
21. I'd imagine there'd be an option where we could like choose to switch between the forum themes? Because I like it how it is now :)
