    First of all they are talking stock VS stock, what do you think boosted can do? 2GR-FE isn't only an Australian engine. So if you want to just come here and talk sh*t, p*ss off and do it somewhere else.

    Yeah Mick really good write up, and I pretty well agree with everything you said, and bar the ignition control(because i have the REV 2) my electronics are bascially modified the same. You can also use Denso IK22 spark plugs if you want to stay with genuine plugs. My setup conservative as it may be at 5.5 psi is making 108 KW (145 HP) and just over 200 Nm at the wheels, and that is without an intercooler. The 3 boosted 5S-FE's are yours, mine and the green Gen 3 Camry Mick?

    ECUs are different between the two from memory, not sure on the part number. That sounds like there could possibly be a vacuum leak or something along those lines, is there any hissing sounds?

    I'm not on the bandwagon i was just saying that it can be bought cheaper, but hell, i love Penrite SIN oils and have used the HPR stuff for years up until the charger was put on. I'm not gunna go using something more expensive that i don't know is better.

    Brake and power steering fluid will be another crucial thing once it's been started. Replace absolutely EVERY fluid. I had a massive reply typed out the other day but i must not have hit post, but most of it has been covered already, belts, hoses etc.

    and the friction can tear or stretch the o-ring

    Yup tighten by hand with a film of oil on the o-ring then tighten 1/4 of a turn further is plenty enough, if it does leak at any stage slightly nip it up, but ive never had one leak.

    The dipstick actually reaches into the sump. So i don't know how it cant mix.
