  1. Your Aurion looks very nice mate - yeah you can have traffic light honours for a couple of years The mud got too much for me on a brand-new car and I had to wash most of it off today. I'd say it will all be back on by the end of the week though
  2. Congrats mate - saw your pics elsewhere - looks nice... Enjoy those first weeks of ownership B)
  3. Welcome OldGeezer, very funny first post - good to see you still have a sense of humour for someone "over 60's" I hope I can maintain mine! Maybe if you find yourself some of that "new car smell" aftershave your wife will forgo the hunk of metal & plastic Hope to see more of you in the Kluger section - keep enjoying that new car Cheers!
  4. Very happy with it so far, it got a bit of use of the weekend as you'd expect. and I'd ordered a set of front mudflaps when I picked it up as I could see them being needed in the not too distant future, hopefully that's all I've overlooked!! <_< Cheers!
  5. No D-shackles, but I use load rated ones anyway and the ones that come free with most towbars mostly aren't rated
  6. Yeah got the factory towbar, but won't be towing anything until it's got 1,000k's or so on the clock - shouldn't take long the way we rack them up Those matched paint-codes will definitely come in handy, thanks PaulG :)
  7. Got to admire a man who a. has a Dremel and b. isn't afraid to use it Switch looks good mate, and a very neat install. It looks almost factory, I'd like to get one just like it :) Cheers
  8. Yesterday this came straight from the pre-delivery detail. Today it has 250km on the clock, and I've done some neighbours "driveways", the rounds of the kids hockey, tomorrow ponyclub. I think it's still cleaner inside... Gee it was nice to have had a new car My first impressions of the Kluger are mostly all good, but why doesn't it have a 6-speed auto? The gap from 4th to 3rd seems huge when you're on cruise and in hilly country. I also find the vol and audio control button extremely hard to turn (must be my fat fingers ). Last gripes are the size of the A-pillars (huuuge) and I don't like having to manually select which phone is paired with the Bluetooth. BUT I love the engine, leather seats (heaters are bliss on a 5degree topping day), climate control, flawless Bluetooth conversations, interior quality, seating flexibility, dual opening rear hatch, inside space (seems bigger than my mates Prado), reverse camera, handling, inherent safety, the quietness and I'm sure there will be more as the days come... Cheers
  9. Picked mine up today :) Excuse the crappy phone pic, but silly old me forgot my camera and it was the only way to capture it in it's gloryful newness - now it's completely covered in mud from the drive home
  10. If you've ever wondered where the Kluger badge comes from, it's a German word which means "clever" or "very intelligent". Toyota couldn't use the Highlander name as it was already in use by Hyundai on their Terror-can [/trivia] Cheers
  11. Looks good mate - at least you have a pic of a REAL to use in your avatar, mine is still a twinkle in my eye (or should that be bank account!)
  12. Sharp price there BK - well done! :)
  13. My thoughts too - so that's two Merlots delivered Friday B) Haven't seen one on the road yet
  14. I should add we live in a country area with crap roads, and we tow regularly - all factors in us choosing AWD :)
  15. Seems a reasonable price - my KX-S AWD was $56K driveaway (business rego) with metallic paint, nudgebar, sidesteps, towbar, tint, mats, headlight & bonnet protector and mudflaps. It was very hard to get the dealer to budge far from his initial quote, and the three country dealers who quoted were within $600-1000 of each other.
  16. Our order of preference was Graphite then Crystal Pearl... until SWMBO saw a Merlot Red one on the showroom floor, and that was it Should have it on Friday B)
  17. Having had AWD cars for the last 13 years, I would never go back to 2WD for my family car. For me the safety benefits outweigh the increased price :) Cheers
  18. RICE - Race Inspired Cosmetic Enhancements
  19. Nice work PaulG - this is one of the first jobs I'll be doing to mine next week, following your guide will make it a piece-of-cake thanks! I personally don't really like the in-line crimp fittings, but if you made it weatherproof with some electrical tape it would stand up to the test of time I reckon :) Cheers!
  20. It's nearly 1.30am and after a few ales, I've slept walked to my shed, and it's still Klugerless :( Bring on next week I say!!
