  1. haha nice one mate! and yep the Kluger is a winner in our household, no complaints at all
  2. Time to pull my Scanguage II OBD reader out of the box I think ;)
  3. I was quoted around $3.5K for aftermarket leather on a Prado (through the dealer's "preferred" trimmer), but ended up getting a KX-S Kluger instead B)

    Handbrake

hope you get some satisfaction this time Cookie
  5. I have Lightforce 240's on my Triton, and thought the same light would look a little over-sized on the Kluger (that are a bloody BIG light). These are the 220mm RooLite, so only a little smaller than the LF240, but IMHO are a perfect fit for the Kluger nudgebar. They bolted straight into the existing holes, and I turned the mounting "foot" of the light around so they sit as close as possible to the grille (rather than protrude out the front of the bar) They seem to perform as well as the Lightforce and are slightly cheaper - so I'm happy! Cheers

    Handbrake

Silly question, but are you pushing the brake down far enough when you use it? My wife was had a similar complaint to yours, but I found she wasn't pressing it down far enough for it to hold the vehicle? The brake only releases on the second push, so the first push should go down as far as you can get it to go, mine holds fine when used this way... hope that helps!! EDIT: I just re-read your post and that bit about the other Kluger holding fine suggests there could be something amiss with yours, but I don't know what!!
  7. Finally got a round to adding some extra lighting, I like the low and high beam spread of the stock lights, but high really lacks long distance penetration.... not anymore ;)
  8. I hope to ****** mine stays rattle-free - the KX-S I test-drove sounded like someone had slid a CD inside the dash and it was bouncing round on top of the headunit
  9. From what I have read on other forums, you will get a lot of noise (which may or may not be appealing) but not much performance or economy gain. A bigger benefit, mostly in economy, can be had by installing a K&N airfilter B) Cheers
  10. I'd thought a different grille might be something I think about at some stage, not sure if any of those would suit a darker coloured Kluger like mine though :(
  11. I think it's too high when the float or boat (I'm guessing for when summer comes back) is hitched on, as they sit up at the front, rather than level. I won't be trying the float fully loaded until I have an electric brake controller fitted, maybe the extra weight will bring the front down a bit... Cheers
  12. Towed our double horsefloat today, with one horse on-board... very impressed with the way the Kluger handled it B) Like other have notice the Toyota tow hitch is a little too high (and isn't supposed to be turned upside-down), and I'll have to investigate an alternative hitch
  13. Has anyone verified if their odometer is out by the same margin as the speedo?
  14. My last car had 5% (limo) tint courtesy of the previous owner... Never again, it was downright dangerous in the dark or wet Quite happy with the tint on the Kluger - not too heavy, not too light B)
  15. Just over an hour from Bathurst :) Imagine a lineup of Klugers on the Mount!!
  16. Much as I was sad to see the Subie go, I think I've made a good choice :) Look forward to those pics!
  17. hmm it almost sounds like a case for some cutting compound, and then repolishing and waxing that area - but I'm VERY wary about using this on metallic paint and without seeing the scratch it's hard to know exactly what I would do in your case! (other than be very p***ed off and demand that heads roll )
  18. Would love to see some pics of your wheels CroToy if you have any :)
  19. kl, if that happened to me I'd be breaking open the little bottle of touch-up paint that should have come with your Kluger (assuming the paint is chipped)? or is it just discoloured? Cheers
  20. If the rolling diameter of the wheel & tyre is the same as the stock, then the speedo won't be affected (as the rim size goes up, the tyre sidewall height should go down). But YES it would ride significantly differently I would think!!!
  21. I saw these pics on another site... 22inch wheel & tyres
  22. same here Kruzen - I had to scab one out of the wheelie bin
