  1. Their response at the time was there is nothing available, nor anything planned in the near future BUT that didn't mean it would be never Hmmm I didn't think about offering to be the test mule, I might have to call them again ;)
  2. For sure mate, I'll keep posting up any info I find - unfortunately I've found on any new car I have bought, the stock tyres don't give good mileage (the sceptic in me says there's some conspiracy there)
  3. I drove the Terrorist and Kluger back-to-back and have to say the Terri is a very impressive handling vehicle... BUT the Kluger has SO much MORE going for it B) Like aardvark says, it's not a sports car so why expect it to handle like one! Coming from a modified Subaru Forester, I'm actually NOT disappointed with the handling and ride quality of the Kluger (although I DID ring Whiteline to ask about stiffer swaybars). Cheers
  4. I didn't notice anything abnormal when I rotated all my wheels recently - I'm concerned now that if I rotate regularly, I might not pick up excessive wear from a poor wheel-alignment <_< Will have a close look at mine tonight and see if I have the same problem as you BK
  5. Toyo have an Open Country H/T tyre coming out soon in the correct size, but nothing in their excellent Proxes range will fit :(
  6. This is just SHOES right?! I am SO going to resist commenting
  7. The 5-speed auto is my only major criticism of the Kluger. Most competitors have 6-speeds, and it's not like Toyota didn't have one they could possibly have used? The gap from 4th to 3rd seems HUUUUGE when you're driving in hilly country, and like BK says the manual/sportshift is back-to-front <_<
  8. Congrats Trina!... FWD or AWD? Will be keen to see how the Alpine gear fits, works and looks... Enjoy :-)
  9. ^^ What they said, except ours is 80% used as a 4 seater (with only weekend hockey trips requiring extra butt space)
  10. I haven't found one with a lower speed rating, but if there was one available in the correct size I would not be worried about fitting it - we pay a lot of money for speed rated tyres that never got to see their maximum speed in Australia :( Cheers
  11. Rotated mine on the weekend as per the diagram (G) above, took me an hour and two beers while watching the Manly/Rabbitohs match on the shed TV B) Kluger (sorry WIFE) has travelled 5300km since we picked it up at the end of June, so I guess I'll be doing it again towards the end of Septemeber
  12. Sorry mate, I'm not sure if there is a single-CD SatNav. You're right that GSU-40R is the FWD Kulger, and GSU-45R the AWD - I hope the seller has merely got the code wrong and that there's not anything sinister going on! To be 100% sure, it's easier to see the rear driveshafts rather than the diff on an AWD model, just stick your head down near the exhaust, no need to crawl under the car at all :) Cheers
  13. It's on the label on the lower part of the passenger B-pillar (just open the front passenger door and the label is there :) ) Genuine? Genuine satnav (4-disc CD) should have bluetooth built-in as far as I know Cheers
  14. G'day Beggsy, and welcome! My KX-S AWD is coded GSU45R if that helps Cheers
  15. haha, actually I blame my wife... shes the one been plugging her mobile into that socket, no wonder I can never call her it's been flat for AGES
  16. All fixed - somehow the wiring connector had come off the back of the outlet inside the dash <_<
  17. I'll certainly be going with a slightly wider tyre is possible next time around, so I think your idea of rotating the spare in the sequence is a very good one. I will probably follow the diagram above as every tyre ends up in every position on the car at least once B) Cheers
  18. Good thinking BK - I'm about to hit 5,000km myself. Some people keep the spare untouched, and just rotate the 4 on the car, then when it comes to buying new tyres you only need to buy three (but you are then locked to staying with the Dueller's, and end up with a worn-out spare <_< ) Just to confuse the issue I found this description and diagram... Silly question and I haven't had the need to check, but the spare is a full-sized alloy, and not a full-sized steel rim? Cheers
  19. and a set of 19" Kluger rims with worn-out tyres could possibly generate some nice cash on eBay ;)
  20. My front power outlet (the one next to the seat heater controls) no longer works, but I cannot find the fuse for it. I've checked the two fuses under the glovebox (where you have to be a contortionist with a rubber neck to see) and also the one in the fusebox under the bonnet but they all tested OK. Have I missed something? Anyone know which is the exact fuse for this power outlet? Cheers
  21. No probs here When you say "trouble staying in tune", is the actual station selection changing, or the signal being lost while you're driving?
  22. I thought our Kluger moderator (M_M?) owned a first gen?
