  1. LSD kit has arrived, still waiting the install kit from MWR Keen to get it installed though at the same time, not keen to pay for it Would love to get TRD flywheel, research indicates they arnt so ridiculously light – one would assume therefore it might be a suitable compromise for my desire to be a race car driver and my partners need to drive to the shops
  2. Haha that was how I felt too. I got the LSD first and then realized that it wasn't the end of the shopping list. I think you got your LSD from ebay right? yeah i did, epic impulse buy after i did a track night a couple of nights before and found the car spinning the inside wheel hard - even with r comps! the lsd + fitment kit should arrive this week. then ill save up for a clutch and put the feelers out for someone to install . . .
  3. adding up - lol man, sorta regreting atm to be honest ;)
  4. looks good and1, much more agressive. facelift owners should jump on this one :)
  5. from what i have heard, the speedo ring can become damaged while trying ot remove it - just like that 6th gear. as stated above, i purchased a second hand lsd that appeared to include a speedo drive. Hopefully between that one, and the one in my car i have one thats usable. on the other hand, i have been quoted $700 to remove and replace the box, would really hate to pay that twice if a $200 speedo ring fks up ! fun times!
  6. help needed! Called around today and got a price on a 6th gear for the corolla - $430 inc gst. Anyone know a workshop in perth that might have the required gear puller :)? Ive been doing reading on the US forums, they are suggesting that the speedo drive needs to be replaced. I asked Toyota for a price on the speedo drive and I was told there was no listing for it. Do our cars run an electronic speedo drive from the abs unit or something similar ?
  7. ordered the lsd install kit from mwr. anyone know if i need a speedo drive ? also, anyone got the part numbers for the 6th gear ?
  8. just brought a used mr-s helical unit today as a birthday present to myself :) will start accumulating the other stuff i need and hopefully find some1 to install it in the next few weeks. Going to get a new oem replacement clutch, i found the stock clutch offers plenty of grip and is pretty easy on the gearbox during heavy driving. originally wanted a fidanza lightened flywheel but decided to retain stock flywheel as im concerned about driveability with a lightened unit - unless some1 can convince me that my gf wont have trouble driving the car with a lightened unit . . :) hopefully it improves the cars cornering performance, will keep you all posted with myprogress.
  9. rear strut bar installed best lap @ barbagello improved by .3 of a second so thats pretty good i must say though, the rear or the car is much more nervous and 10/10ths under brakes
  10. Cheers mate. How's Bargs treating you? How do your match up against some of the EGs out there? Esp the Cypher ones, they damn quick lol. hey dude - track day coming up this thursday if your keen http://www.nolimitevents.com/page.php?6 the cypher hondas rape me :)

  13. im pretty fat, so i like to distribute the weight evenly accross the car :)
  14. new sub woofer support bar installed. bass is heaps clearer now
  15. do like the exposed filter. leave it like that, maybe cover with some black mesh!

  17. /democracy engaged yes, agreed - but each person seeks to satisfy their own specific requirements within their mechanical abilities and budgets! /end democracy
  18. +1 its already been established. ken and i are using the hissy fits to keep the thread alive so as to communicate the superiority of the KYB's to as many memebrs as possible . . . .
  19. Post removed. Play nice or else....
  20. becasue its super important to retain your stock front struts after they leaked out all over your driveway . . .
  21. this is the corolla forum bro. put a 2zz in that camry or GTFO bs bob jane all rounders ftl - follow your mates advice
  22. its cheaper - not so much demand for track :) as far as vision is concerned, its not too bad, but harder to constantly hit your braking markers - because you cant see them. good fun regardless - going again next month, will have my rear strut bar installed so be interested to see if i can improve my lap times a little. def need lsd though :/
