  1. I have been followed numerous times (more than 7) for no apparent reason and pulled over aswell (i later found out that the previous owner lost their licence), they always followed me for a couple of kilometers and then pull me over, one of em was a high performance car, but it was dark and i really didnt believe my friend, and the rear window tint is slightly blury. Anyone else get that nervous feeling when they follow you for ages, and you thing you did something wrong?
  2. this is where i wish my car was black, looks great (when i have spare time i might do my car, and when no one bugs me for lifts)
  3. I was just wondering, do cops still patrol popular meets (BP on the motor way, the spit and others) and defect cars, do they do a rigorous search (having a look under the car with mirros and such) and do they still do that coke can thingy where if you cant fit a coke can under it, then its too low. (cause i kinda ran over a branch and my exhaust sounds totally different, slightly cannony which i dont like, past 3500 revs)
  4. Hehe what a good guess, wow sounds good, but thinking about it, they must have used it alot lately, i havent seen that commodore that keeps drifitng infront of my house.
  5. as long as your okay, its all good, i was in a car crash in my friends s15, his 4 year pride and joy, the people were playing chicken with him and looked drunk, we served out of the way and hit a tree. saw him break down, but what he said in a couple of weeks, at least i can start building up another car, from scratch, and remember that my first car didnt kill anyone and it wasn't my fault. We spent a good couple of months building up his new proton evo conversion and has a picture of his old car and a memorial in the trunk hehe.
  6. that would be awesome and sounds like a big job, and alot of fun, thanks, pictures would help alot. OH and the oil seal, it isnt leaking, its just stains from when i missed the funnel when pouring the oil, he lied... and after inspecting my car myself (a mate dropped it off for inspection) some of the stuff on it was only slightly damaged, (the power steering boot, one wasn't even split, one had a tiny nick).
  7. could you imagine if you had to do a emergency evacuate car roll whilst the car is going 100km/h, with the wind resistance created with thoes doors, it might actually turn the car, but oyu can get a kit for 5k though, installed its like 7k, had a look cause i was bored, well thats what i remember it was, unless ive been drinking. (its on a celica btw)
  8. I just got back from road worthy guy, i have a list of problems but dont know where they are i would like to know where the "engine front seal" is, this is the exact words on the report "Engine front seal leaking" "Right hand lower radiator support rubber" "RH lower rad support rubber missing" "Rear engine mount" "Rear engine mount broken" and does anyone know what a RCA shoes border or order is, there is grease smeared over it and he was "too busy" to explain, a picture would be extremely useful.
  9. personally i still like dropping my phone, but the one thing i like about the iphone is that you can buy a ipod video and say its an iphone, and no one would know. Just dont like the docking station, phone tends to fall out of station
  10. Top gear hilux was diesel, they might be unleaded, big difference hehehe, unleaded 4wd vehiculars are awsome~ like the rav 4 that cant go off road~ hehehe
  11. after looking at the results, i wonder why the majority is single? I presume it spending money or the car. I knew this person who loved his car more than his wife.
  12. I think selling the cars off is better than crushing them (more money to the public to get more guns, money at pcyc). I went to one of thoes police auctions, having a look in the picture from california compared to the police auction, california has alot better looking cars, brisbane was mostly old falcons and holdens, only saw 1 or 2 civics, all of em were stock, except for rims or exhaust. Scored a falcon for 1.5k. alright as a first car for my friend.

    HELP!

Monitors are extremely cheap now, if your just using it to surf the net or so, its only $163 (or ex government one for $70, if your gaming, or xbox or such, i suggest the ASUS Asus VW222S 22inch Wide 2ms VGA Tilt Speaker 1ysZBD Pixel or any other 2ms monitors, in my house, my 2 brothers have 1 each, it doesnt ghost (produce double images) and black out and refresh whilst playing intense games,
  14. Old schoollllllllllllllllll SUM 41 - hell song and A Day To Remember - Your ways with words is through
  15. Hey HEy im from brisbane, INALA, great place in the day, at night... i dont know.... once in a while you get drift nuts around there. I drive a paseo 1993 (first car) with a saweeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet audio system, and i posted in the wrong area last time. I dont wanna double post but heres a link http://au.toyotaownersclub.com/forums/inde...c=19343&hl=
  16. thats harsh, in QLD the difference between red P and green P is that red doesnt let you have passangers after 11pm. and we cant have turbo charged cars... unless their deisel! and with learners its 100hrs of driving, however good news for the older folks, you just need to keep your Ls for 1 year and its straigh to opens or red p's for 6 months, cant remember..
  17. When i still had a boot, i used a yoga mat and since the bottom of my trunk was already covered in carpet, it stuck in place and stopped all my books bags and such from sliding around... i learnt my lesson the hard way and kinda put a dent in my PC :D and alot of dead pixels
  18. im just curious but what audio system do you have in your trunk, and to reduce the rattle even more or even make it not exist, have a look at my number plate rattle tip in the workshop bit, i experimented alot with that and am a audio head. just audio not navigation
  19. Now you only need to lower it, and it would be SAHWEEEEET! Sweet car though, beats mine any day, even in a 1/4 mile drag race, by the time you finish, i probibly just started my engine hehe
  20. Look on the possibe bright side, imagine if they did do it and screwed up really badly? they can say "no i dont have to fix it" makes me remember them time when i got someone to do a favour for me spray painting my Canvas black whilst i was away on emergency trip, before we left he gave me "Guff" about my car and how his was better, well in the end i told him not to spray it when hes ******, when i came back my car was slightly tagged, and the cavas had inappropriate things painted on it and left in the sun to dry.... And also the time of the panel beater doing a bad spray (had alot of dirt specs) and protested.... eventually solicitors came in and forced him to do it. But that is a sweet exhaust, even if im into the chrome exhaust and the drone noise. Its better to wait than to have regret not waiting (happen to me buying a bad rear stage cause the one i wanted was out of stock)
  21. Bad news, its gonna be off the road for a long time, its not road worthy cause the trunk holding up stick thingy is broken. hehe, and alot of other stuff... PICTURES OF MY FIRST CAR! Take notice of the scrape mark on the bumper, it was done when a relative's dog kept running in and out of the gate whilst i was reversing My Trunk: My amp is upside down because i got the grounding on the wrong side of the car hehe As you can see, i have no room for baggage :) All of the modifications was done by me with the aid of my father, (father and son project on weekends) A sad good bye to a back yard project is the SSS, fuel rises, im not into fast cars. its getting sold (i decided not to buy it anymore and its still sitting in my back yard ready to be bought by a young teen who wants POWER!)
  22. I recently had problems when i just installed my subwoofer, when the woofer played music (even at extremely low volume) there will be number plate rattle, a really annoying and constant, quick tapping. There are 2 ways of solving this problem 1: Using double sided tape or Dynamat 2: Applying more contract to the bumper using screws or rivets 1: using double sided tape: Remove the number plate, any places that show scratching, friction or abrasion are target areas of and double sided tape should be placed in these areas to reduce the contract. When placing the number plate back on, make sure that the tape is in contact with the plate and screw on. Dynamat: Cut out the shape of the number plate on a piece of dynamat (any type would be fine), remove the cover of one side and either place it on the back of the plate and force on with the roller or attach it to the bumper and screw on the plate. 2: When i got my car, the screws were only placed in the middle of the plate just enough to hold the plate still, with the use of poprivets (if you intent to keep the same plate for a long time) attach it on the four corners on the plate onto the bumper (use a marker to mark the holes on the plate, remove the plate and drill small enough holes so the rivet fits snug, size of holes vary depending on rivets used), the rivents maybe replaced with screws but over time the thread wears out. I personally tried putting on a number plate cover but just made it worse in my opinion (more plastic to shake) and also using a wedge (used both branches and a "custom" made plane) which would eventually fall off as you drive. The use of a sponge is also a bad idea as it deteriorates over time. Just a quick tip to save time from experimenting like i did.
  23. I never thought of drawing a cartoon car, might have to give it a go, sick of doing "demonic" graffiti on canvas and paper ("keep it legall")
  24. when i completed my L's and jumped onto my p's (i got my p's 1 day after transition and now on greens) i feel more relaxed and it became natural, when i was on my L's i was one of thoes "oh gosh i gotta check my left and right, oh no i forgot to look left" kind of people, worried about everything. There is an evil way of doing the hours, i know some people whilst i was working (i work across from 2 schools) bragging about working backwards of the ordomitor and going backwards from what they had their car. Its a bad way to do it, and the rules were implimented for a reason and im glad you arnt doing that. Another responsible driver, hooray and congratulations!
