In the Aurion (and other cars with the feature as well) the airbags deploy from the side portion of the seats. The seat material itself is constructed so that when the airbag deploys, it will break through the material easily. If you put seat covers over it that aren't designed properly, they can alter the way that the airbag deploys by causing it to inflate in the incorrect direction, slowing down inflation time (which in an accident is extremely critical; the airbag can inflate in as little as 70 milliseconds), or prevent it from fully inflating at all.
Seat covers that are designed for such use will have special stitching, perforations, and/or weakened areas in the position of the airbag so that the airbag will push though it with ease and inflate correctly.
For ease of identifying, your seat airbag deploys near the location indicated by the 'SRS SIDE AIRBAG' tag attached to the seat. For lack of a better image, you can see in this illustration the side seat airbag which deploys just above the area indicated by the tag on the seat:
