Lancer Evolution X vs. Impreza WRX STI

Recommended Posts

Although I do like the look of the hatch STI, I think I would prefer the Evo just because you see less of them. I like to have things a little bit different. My last car was a Nissan Laurel, and *** I loved it, not too many things like it on the roads.

THeres is no comparison to a feel of an Evo,Ive driven the eight & nine (after each other) & temporarily raced a three,AYC & ACD are fantastic,But a Sti in the same year even with all the glitter i feel are better,Purely for the fact is the Subaru still makes u do the work ,Making u see personal driving potential (or lack off)other than the Evo's electronics makes u a better driver

In this case if this is waht the new AWD warriors will look like I like the Subaru shape its less blocky than the Evo ten,Its changd its MY99 aggressive look to a pumped up steroid fed euro hatch..Ide buy one :whistling:

STi in Japan will be sedan and here's a forum that said so

Pics included

It looks like photoshop, but if its going to look like that then I guess its even tougher to pick STi or the X. That STi looks like a Jet fighter while the X looks like a brawler.

u must be blind! dont ruin the evo's name by comparing it to a commonwhore!!!

Evo IX is love. absolutely perfect car.

cept for the crummy interior (barring the recaro's which are perfect)

so nice to drive, almost effortless to go fast.

turning circle... well... lets just say its similar to the QE2

Absolutely right, Evo's are the perfect sport sedan! Why do you think the Japanese workshops turn these things into brutal monsters on the circuit? Have you seen the HKS CT230R Evo?

I haven't been lucky enough to get behind the wheel of one, but have been in the passenger seat of a GSR, and an Evo 9 and I can't compare the sheer power to anything else I have been in.

Light chassis weight, nimble handling, a super-responsive boost riddled engine and grip like your driving on rails!

Best of all the amount of coin you spend on an Evo. You're getting amazing levels of performance. Sure they're a little cheap on the inside. But you're not buying a luxury cruiser are you? Crappy dash plastics, uninhabitable rear seat, basic options and a fundamental lack of noise, vibration and harhness (NVH) refinements.

Can you tell I <3 EVOS? lol

iv just got my hands on a dead stock 95 lancer gsr (aussie version of the evo3) and all i can say is WoW.

the adm version has 1.8l turbo, ABS, power windows, aircon, power steering and sound deading :help:

i prefer the jdm version with more power and less options :spiteful:
