Hi Guys,

Thought you boys might find this interesting.

There is a track in the UK with allows for you to measure your 0-60 mph time(close enough to 100kmph) and the below is what one of the guys on the UK forum has managed.

Here is a picture of his car

and i asked the question regarding if he had done any mods and here is his answer

No modifications, 100% uk factory spec., Jan 2003.

Paul.

Hey TJ,

Thats sound about right that the 2 door would weigh less but i have yet to find anything on the net that states this. I mean because its a 2 door it may even have a little bit more weight to re-enforce a few things. As suggested by the figures below. I think we need to bring 1 over and weigh it at ur work ;)

Will keep looking though

ok according to carsales aus and the toyota UK website

Aus - UK

Length(mm) 4175 - 4200

Wheelbase(mm) 2600 - 2600

Kerb mass (kg) 1185 to 1200 - 1255

Width(mm) 1695 - 1710

Height(mm) 1470 - 1455

CO2 mass emission 202 - 198

Gross Weight(kg) 1630 - 1655

The above figures are pretty interesting as their are subtle differences. Not sure how we are shorter in length than a 2 door  but at the same time we sit higher and are slightly narrower so i wonder what impact this has on handling ?

Please feel free to add your facts and figures as this is what i have been able to add thus far.

Cheers

that's is very hard to believe!

it's thats a joke?

i have a friend that have all the modification posible that exist for the RUNX...and it is making like 13.7secs..

that RUNX should be added a TURBO or another engine that's not the 2ZZGE!

Hi rcheong,

Have a look at the link i have added below

http://www.zeperfs.com/match.php?Id1=367&I...d5=284&Id6=530&

i did a comparision between

Toyota Corolla TS <-> Honda Civic Type R <-> Mini Cooper S <-> Ford Focus ST 170 <-> Peugeot 206 S16 / Gti <-> Renault Clio Williams

The main competitors in our class and you will notice the Corolla gets a 0-100 time of between 7.2 & 7.7 so what the guys in the UK are getting isnt something unbelievable.

Now to get the corolla down to 13.7 down the quarter that means its doing low 6 seconds 0-100 under 6.5 seconds so its quicker than the one above.

Oh buy the way that timer is a 0-100 kmph timer NOT quarter mile

cheers

Bill
