Heyz

I wanna change the stock headunit's green lights to red. (Can't afford a real HU just yet)

I'm remember about a year ago sometime there was a DIY post for this.

I've searched and can't find it.

Help please! ^_^

Thanks

its not worth the time and effort, any cheap aftermarket HU from a decent brand will beat the stock HU hands down.

Try google mobile electronics australia and join the forums there, lots of cheap stuff in the for sale section u can consider.

P.s. Audio is a bloody addictive thing to build up tho. just ask brandon (big bum)

here's my current audio evolution from the rolla to my current car.

Rolla Stock Audio (single cd) ->

Rolla Stock audio (6 cd) ->

Pioneer double din ->

(brandon i can't remember the modle number)

Belcanto double din dvd screen ->

JVC kd-av7008 ->

Nakamichi CD700

And don't even get started on the amps and speakers and eqs!

just stick to a decently cheap hu and don't start the slippery slide!

Lolz hey man,

Yea i know the endless perils of gettin into ICED out hardware lolz

Nah i just wanted to change the HU colour to be consistent with the console mod that i did. (i didn't want to have a fruit basket effect in my car lolz)

I"m off overseas for a fair while soon too, so i don't wanna really spend anything on a new HU. stock is ok for now.

I have been looking at cheap average HUs such as Sony, Panasonic, n Pioneers.

My budget I was considering was about 200ish. but lolz it gets complicated wen u want the extra bells n whistles such as bluetooth, USB connections, 45/52/70watt, LCD Displays etc etc. >_<

But thanks for the website lead...i'll check it out...
