Bought a new Aurion Sportivo SX6 in Caribbean Blue from Chatswood Toyota. Do you think I got a good deal - $35,500 with a full tank of petrol and metallic paint?

Picking it up this arvo - will post a pic or two here later...

That's a really sweet deal. Considering it's only $5,500 more than what the Corolla Sportivo cost new. Not only that but you get a V6 with Sportivo trim. :clap:

I picked it up. Went into a side street to turn around and completely scuffed the front underside wing. I feel so sick.

Awesome car to drive apart from that though...

Yes - the skirt. Its quite a small skirt at the front. Anyone know how much they are to replace?

Lol that's a shame u scraped it on the first day...but don't worry, I scraped mine when it was 2 days old too <_< and now there's this big black mark towards the front side.

Is that $35,500 drive away? That's quite a good deal, depends on the '06 month and if it's an actual demo though. I got my Zr6 for less than the retail price anyway drive away, but it was completely completely brand new. Chatswood Toyota had a few of them Sx6's to get rid off in the beginning of the year, and they wouldn't sell me the Zr6 for cheap as they had to order it as well, and they would rather get rid of the Sx6's.

But congrats on the car, I wouldn't worry too much about the skirt though, unless it's a big mark/dent and it bothers you.

i was over a friend's house yesterday n his dad got a black ZR6 sportivo... DAMN it was sexy... real real real sexy... n how big is the boot omg... too bad he went overseas n he took the keys with him lol that's clever...

so wat color is it???

Nice choice. Seriously good bang for your buck with the 200Kw V6 in the Aurion way better than the 4cyl and old auto 3L V6 Sportivo even with a few extra kilos on the chassis.

This Sportivo front skirts are diabolical for parking so don't worry. I don't know how you are supposed to drive them over car park speed bumps let alone park close to gutters wihout occasionally scraping them.

Presara's dont get the SX ZX body kits so i am fine but even so the front is low and the corners protude enough to be awkward.

Well, when we replaced ours after the "incident" (Weight sets don't go to well near cars) it costed the bloke who did it $140. Now the whole front of it is 1 part (the coloured parts and the fog light protectors are all 1 part,only on the sport models though) This price was at wholesale price to, unpainted. So you be looking at prob over $300, really not worth it.

We have been quoted $100 for a scrape and spray from Toyota, so going to do that. Although its a fairly small few scratches, it breaks my heart when I look at it so I have to get it done!

don't worry about the front skirt. Mine scraped while reversing down a steep driveway.

I even reversed slowly, had my foot on the brakes all the time!

I vouched to never go up/down those steep driveway again!

EDIT: Congrats on buying an SX6! :)

      2011 Land Cruiser 1VD-FTV Engine Won't Start After Overhaul

      Hi everyone, I have a 2011 Land Cruiser VDJ200 with a 1VD-FTV engine. I recently had the engine fully overhauled due to a blown head gasket. However, after the overhaul, the engine is not starting. It only cranks but doesn't fire. I've checked the following DTC codes: Internal memory EEPROM error Low rail pressure The actual rail pressure data shows: 240 bar during cranking 61 bar when ignition is off Based on these findings, I suspect the following potential causes: =Defective Diesel High-Pressure Pump =Leaking Piezoelectric Injectors =Diesel Fuel Bypassing to the DPF Circuit =Faulty Injector Drivers I'm hoping for some expert advice to help diagnose and resolve this problem I'm seeking expert advice on how to troubleshoot and resolve this issue. Any suggestions or guidance would be greatly appreciated.

      Hey guys, I’m wanting to disconnect my current winch, lightbar and UHF as I have new plans. I’ve installed a winch previously on another car so I get it’s a case of following the cables and disconnecting from the battery, etc but but safety wise, should I start by disconnecting the battery so the cables aren’t live orrrr? And if so how do it go this haha?

      Snapping wheel and axle studs

      Put a set of standard wheels on it and your problem will disappear. It is critical that the hole in the wheel centre is a snug fit on the axle boss (without wheel nuts fitted). If your wheels are sloppy on the axle boss this allows excess force on your wheel studs and they will break, as yours are doing. If you are unsure of what to do, go to a reputable tyre shop and get assistance.

      2zz idle / roughness when accelerating past 3k

      Hey everyone was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction with this issue I've been facing for a while now. My Celica's idle will drop down to almost 200rpm when stationery after hitting operating temperature. Pretty much feels like it's about to stall out but never actually does. When taking off from a set of lights it almost feels like it hesitates or is down on power and then all of a sudden it lurches forward and gets a boost in power again. Then again around 1,500-3,000rpm it feels down on power and in what I can only describe in the engine feeling scratchy. Past 3,000 rpm it gets a little boost in power again but still definitely feels down on power compared to what it used to be and still has that roughness. Note lift is also not working at the moment but I have changed the lift bolts, planning on cleaning the VVT and VVTL-i OCV's New engine mounts have been installed I changed the MAF sensor about 4 years ago albeit not OEM. After doing some research my main ideas now would be a New MAF this time OEM, TPS, IACV or Coil Packs (Changed plugs 50,000km ago) Any other suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!! :)
