Those were for a 35mm drop yeah? Don't be too disheartened if it still isn't low enough for you. It'd do you for the time being until you went for say, a 50mm drop w. replacement shocks (KYB's or koni yellow's etc like stated before). My car was fine on a 35mm drop for 2 years, no probs.

Yep just on stock shocks. They're fine. In all honesty 50mm springs with the stock shocks is fine but they do wear out faster (about a 1 year before replacing them give or take).

I will be honest in saying that I was no where near happy with the ride height on a 35mm drop. My mates kept joking with me saying that I never did lower it in the first place it was that bad.

But if u consider the good n bad side of 50mm drop..the only good thing is that it looks better..

well this is debatable..depends on what u r really lookin for..

i`m gonna go with 35mm i think :P

The lower the centre of gravity the better the car handles ay. Obviously there are several other factors that contribute to a decent handling ride on the street / track, but that is one of them. My coilovers were kept at a 35 mm drop for the drive back from sydney, and I can safely say that it was still 'top heavy' in terms of going around a corner. Richo, a mate of ours here in Canberra, had his stivo on a 50mm drop. I drove it once and noticed immediately that it felt more present going around corners. 'Some' bodyroll is needed still, but you don't want a tone of it lol.

look, just go coilovers so you can adjust the height that your happy with... lol

That was one of the reasons why I got coilovers. They aren't as stiff as people claim either once they're setup right for the street. My '77 Escort is twice as rough as the Corolla, and it's running a lovells / koni spring and shock combo.

with 17inch rims, you should get some king springs superlows, that'll drop about 50-55mm, giving it a much sexier stance, like mine :)

just as im swayed one way someone says something that makes me go the other :(

i might toss a coin aha

35mm drop will still make your car look lik a 4WD. Period lol.

You can kill two birds with one stone by saving up for better shocks and work them with a set of 50mm springs which would make it handle better, and make it look hot.
