Dyno day Confirmed for 24th May

Recommended Posts

Right so ozmazda club is trying to get a dyno day put together.

Date to be confirmed.

On of the clubs spokespersons has spoken with Silverwater Automotive Services (SAS) and they would be more than happy to hold a day for us. Saturdays are the preferred day. SAS are widely known throughout the industry as one of the best tuning shops!

They have a dedicated Dyno room with an AWD dyno an can accomodate FWD, RWD & AWD with no changes to the dyno setup.

Costs vary based on the quantity of cars:

Min 20 cars (Dyno per Car rate)

$50 for 2WD

$60 for 4WD (Due to the extra time taken to strap them down properly)

Min 30 cars (Dyno per Day Rate)

$50 for all

There is also a large carpark opposite the Dyno Cell which will fit approx 50 cars.

I've already spoken with:

OZRenaultSport

PreludesAustralia

So come on lets see who is interested?

Under 1800cc N/A Class

1800cc - 2800cc N/A Class

Over 2800cc N/A Class

TROPHY ELIGIBILITY

Only MAZDA powered vehicles are eligible for trophies.

Only your FIRST Dyno Run counts towards the trophies. Should you wish to have a second run on the dyno you are more than welcome to do so. All are welcome to pay for a second run if time allows

However Only the first run will be elegible for consideration. Time permitting Second Runs will be available at the end of the day.

The Offical Judging team on the day will accept comment from each vehicle owner BEFORE the car is unstrapped from the Dyno. The Judges Decision regarding any possible re-run is Final.

The judges decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into. No arguments will be tolerated with the Dyno Operators and any inappropriate behaviour will result in the offending competitor being asked to leave.

CLASS SELECTION

The class eligibility for your vehicle is based on the presence of forced induction be it Turbo or Supercharger and the capacity of your engine. Since there is no way to determine an engine's internal modification, capacity is based on the Original Factory capacity of the block used.

There are no boost limits for the forced induction classes, we do not handicap those people who have constructed an engine capable of supporting higher boost levels.

There are also no restrictions on the type of fuel used on the day. Should you be running anything other than PUMP gas please advise the Dyno opperator PRIOR to your run.

OZMAZDA and SAS will not be responsible for any damage, no matter how arising during testing/moving of the vehicles.

It seems little poor that they want other forums to attend to "prop" up their dyno day and boost numbers to get it cheaper but they are ineligible to win trophies cause they aren't Mazda's???

How about trophies for the other makes and models in attendance? Cause without them there they would be paying a higher price or the event mighten even happen.

Anyway go and show the Mazda boys what a "proper" performance N/A engine can do!!

And Xoom go and show them what a "proper" performance turbo charged engine can do!!

Look forward to the results of this day!!

Dude! They want a bit of variety this time!

These guys have hosted many a dyno day with the same mazdas turning up. The numbers are there so its not "that they want other forums to attend to "prop" up their dyno day and boost numbers to get it cheaper "

The price is what goes for all clubs when they use SAS facilities! No one is getting discounts for numbers.

Silver if you have a issue take it up with the Ozmazda admin & organisers..... i will pass on your rant

Im sure you will find that trophies at the toymods dyno day only applied to members too!

Yeah but isn't toymods a registered car club with a forum??? Ozmazda is just a forum isn't it? i'm happy for you to prove me wrong but if you want a big variety of other cars then offer some bait on the hook to catch the fish. i know up here a lot of people won't bother if they don't rate in the end results. just think if they offered something for the other's they would get a hell of a lot more competitors.

But you dont want too many competitiors just enough to fill the day.

They will rate in the end results just not win a trophy. i mean is a trophy that much of a big deal?

i know that iv been to many a dyno day just to see how my car is running. and if it wins it wins.

i suppose its admin & organisers who have to make the day attractive. If i was organising it i would do it diffrently

To me not really but to some it's everything.

You putting the MPS on mate?

CES did a full exhaust system(dump pipe etc) for a MPS up here in Brissy. Was at the workshop when they finished it and went for a test drive in it. Mate it was damm fast!!! What a difference it made to the car. Didn't drop off boost like the stock ones do. Boost dropped off only about 150rpm before fuel cut. Very impressive. Trevor reckons it would certainly give some good Evo's and Sti's a big fright!!

Ya shes going on. The exhaust & down pipe make a major improvement. I was so damn impressed with TurboXs's one.

Iv got the full turbo back 3" turboXs exhaust, Front mount intercooler & bov with SRI. All courtesy of turboXs and im loving her to pieces.
