well, i went to the drags last night and the best i got was a 14.1sec 1/4mile... and that was with a fair bit of axle tramp...

i reckon if i got a clean start, it could easily get a 13.9...

not bad for a heavy fwd stock sedan.. ;)

oh and for the record... that was in FULLLLLL street trim... ie, full tank of fuel, the varex mufflers sitting in the boot and all my wardrobe in the back seat...

well, i was on my way to the track after work and realised that i had a car full of crap..

plus i had to fill up fuel cause what i had wouldn't have lasted the trip to the track... so i was filling up and then i realised that i shouldn't put a full tank of fuel in it...

lets just say my day yesterday was a shocker... i was all over the place (mentally)...

nah, no undies... just CLEAN pants and CLEAN shirts and shoes... ;)

well, i went to the exhaust shop and they put the car up on the hoist and we had a look.. there was no way in hell that the varex was gonna fit under there with the rear bumper still on... :(

so i just put two normal sports mufllers on it...

sounds okay... i think i'm just not used to a loud car anymore... but its okay, i'll get used to it again... :)

on idle its as quiet as a stock car... :)

  • 3 weeks later...

intake is done...

but it was throwing an error code for the maf sensor... so getting a ex-trd mechanic (now toyota service manager) to look at it.. :P hehe

so for now, its back to the stock intake...

apparently the trd ecu is a LOT more sensitive than the normal aurion... so thats why its not liking it... :(

its okay though, we'll sort something out in the next couple of weeks... :)

in the meantime, here are the pics of the almost finished product...

its getting painted black... :)
