removing oil filter

You'll need to get yourself an oil filter remover or jam a screwdriver in one side and out the other and turn it till it comes off...

Oil filter remover is a much cleaner and easier way, can get one from your local spare parts joint...

the oil filters on the 5s-fe are really easy to get off. you have heaps of room around the exhaust manifold to wiggle around! Bit different if you're talking about the fuel filter, now that's a pain the *****.

cannot find any tools to remove it..

1/. The original filter wrench.

2/. The strap type.

3/. Piece of rope around a ratchet driver.

4/. Super cheap, Autopro, etc

If they are hard to get off they are too tight going one 3/4 turn after contact using wrist only.

And a smear of clean oil.

DOnt forget to take off the old o'ring or you will blow the new one out.

2VZFE

XU9DTE

3SFE

280Z

RT104GT

all easy off.

If I can take the filter off a 5SFE... anyone can :P

3VZs on the other hand... similar, but just that tiny bit harder haha

And I'll also be another to add that the fuel filter's a pain in the ***** to remove. However taking the lid off the fuel tank released some pressue... came off a tad easier after that.

I think the old skool Supras are the hardest to replace... RIGHT up in the centre of the car, just above the rear axle. What a pain in the ***** to take that out!!

But yeah, Oil Filter = walk in the park compared to a fuel filter!
