Hi all,

I'll be getting a new set of wheels and tyres in two weeks and I was just wondering what happens to the old set?

Can you 'trade' it in and get a rebate off your new set?

What do most people do?

Cheers,

Saj

haha im afraid not, your best bet is to sell them off...

Depends where you buy your wheels from...

A lot of Tyre shops have 2nd hand rims for sale...

Ask around and see what they can do for you :) :) :) ...

yep, some shops will buy your old wheels, I like to keep the original wheels and tyres though to refit to the car when the car is sold down the track... Usually a lot more intrest in a "stock" example of a car compared to a modified one.

Hi guys,

Will 18 x 7.5 with 225/40/18 tyres fit without scrubbing?

Despite the advice to keep my stock rims, I want to sell them. :o

Can anyone tell me what the stock 2008 Corolla rims + rubber should go for? (4x 16x6.5J with Advans 205/55/R16 91V) Excellent condition, only done 10,300Kms.

Alternatively, is there anyone here who is interested in buying them?

You might get $300 for them if you're lucky.

keep em, if you ever want to get involved in any sort of sport with your car, your going to need these rims.

not to mention when (and hopefully you won't) gutter your rims, you'll need the spare set.

I finally got them!

The guy at the tyre shop offered me $250 for my stock wheels, but I was holding out for $300. So they will be going on ebay now.
