What would be cool is a little leather seat. It would aid cleaning by repelling the vile fluids that seem flow from both ends without any warning.

Yeah, it came with it.  But it's more of a 6-point harness as it is secured by the centre belt as well.

haha that should stop the little tacker from going anywher....err...um..keep him/her safe......

It was weird the first time I had the wife and baby in the car - I forgot what I was doing and had a run with some kids in a V6 Commodore. We were at the lights and the road merged from 3 lanes to two, so I had to try and get in front (which I did easily). However, I got yelled at a LOT.

Are you sure it's not just your driving that is causing it to come out both ends!!!! :P

I have seen some SAAS style ones that look like the material is like a neoprene/polyamide/spandex blend type thing that may be easier to clean, but doesn't look anywhere near as stylish as the grey (nor would it match the car which is the most important point). You could always take it into a leather upholsterer and get it done there, but it'll cost ya I reackon, lost of little fidly bits to seam together!!!

Or there is 1 word - Teflon.... or perhaps Scotchguard for that matter, depends if you prefer DuPont or 3M!!!!

EDIT: Should have also said CONGATULATIONS in there somewhere too... :P

My uncle does restorations on VW's for people and one of his customers got a bug restored and insisted that the baby seat was retrimmed to match the interior of the car and the seat belt colour changed to match as well. Some people called it overkill but it looked awesome and at shows it got a great deal of attention!

As for the racing issue, my brother was on his way home from the hospital with his 2 day old son and had a run with a commodore. He rung me up to tell me that Jacob(baby) had just had his first taste of speed(160KM/hr) and when he beat the Commodore he looked in the mirror and Jacob had a big smile on his face!

I questioned his responsibilty to his son and his response was " gotto train them early". :P Is there any hope for him? He's now 1 and loves anything with a motor!!

I know it adds weight, but it's sort of required by law to transport little people...

Well you got only one are you? I have two of them and this is not a joke they were there from july 04. So I had the mod before you :P :D
