Evokes Rolla

Hey Guys,

I thought after many years ill make a quick topic with what i have done to my car. So, ill start with the history;

2005 Corolla Sportivo bought on December 21st 2005. I didn't know much about the sportivo other than it was a corolla. My old man was able to negotiate a great price including floor mats, bonnet protector, headlight covers and dash mat. It looked like this in my garage.

The first year of ownership, it was mainly used as a weekend car to drive around. I then found TOCA and saw the potential of the rolla, so i attended some meets and grabbed ideas off fellow members. This is when they convinced me to start modding.

After co-ordinating with some members on this forum, we completed some DIY in a matter of 3 hours! Black surround headlight mod, eyelids, grilled mesh JDM tail light mod and the red led console mod.

My vision is to try and replicate a clean JDM look with the rolla. So i got some HID's off a previous member and painted my foggies yellow!

Other mods to mention, DIY painted brake calipers, red mesh lining (golferised), king springs low, TRD CAI and TRD short shifter

I still have a few little things to do here and there, but they will all come in time. I have to thank some members on here who have become my friends, that have helped me with the rolla to what it has become now.

I'll try to keep this updated as possible, but i dont post a lot.

I have more photos of mods and other things if other members require, but i know that other members on here have much better rolla's than i do.

looking good evoke keep up the good work :toast:

Thanks KaZe, haha, we still haven't officially met despite both being in melbourne.

Clean, I like it.

Cheers TRDYUS, i'd prefer to have a white one like yours though. White > Black B) B)

Looks really good man.

Feels good when you can say you have done alot of the work on your own car. Makes you appreciate it a lot more.

Yeah, when i think about it...i pretty much did all the mods myself with help from others. Just bought the parts and whack em on.

its not fair, black rollas dont need to try as hard :(

I still prefer white rollas :(

Been a while since an update has happened. Not alot has changed to the sportivo, just some set backs.

I tried on new shoes, but they didnt suit the sportivo very well

They were 5zigen's 16" with 205/40/16 on King springs Lows.

So, I decided not to follow this path. And picked up these cheap, now running 17" 215/45/17 with the same suspension set up of Low Kings and stock shocks. From the front end...

Tyres are the wrong profile for the 5zigens. Do you still have the rims? I'm keen on them..

Sorry And1. The rims have been sold. They were a tester set for the sportivo to see what they look like. In my personal opinion, I believe the silver lip made it look smaller than it was. But if I put fatter tyres 205/50/16, would have looked better + more lowering :D
