Pull out the glovebox and you should see a little removable panel on the side of the heater/fan box...

Pull out that panel/draw and there might be a filter in there...

I know the Corolla's have the filters but not too sure about the Yaris...

hey Rolla Boy, is this the same for ZZE122 corollas?

i want to clean my filter as it smells after the AC has been running

I don't think they ever made pollen filters for the ZZE122 Corollas.

But i know the ZZE123 corollas can fit them. Assuming its the same for 122s.

I know a lot of people hate that smell after the A/Cs been on.

Maybe you could try and spray some deodorizer into the air box where the fan/pollen filter tray is.

spray some Glens into the aircon intake on the left front windscreen on fresh air mode also helps...

Hi everyone (great forum btw)

FYI:

Toyota Yaris (all models) do not come standard with Aircon filter (cabin air filter). You have to get it added, if you want it.

Costs approx $100 (total rip-off) - Toyota does warn you that it is an optional extra on their website, so you cant plead ignorance!

http://www.toyota.com.au/parts-and-service...bin-air-filters

However you can buy them on ebay (just type in "yaris air cabin filter") , for about 1/3 of the price and its easy to install.

After installing for 2 days I removed it to spray in some Glen 20. The crap that was already trapped in it was scary, considering I had been driving for 3 years previously without it (hence the glen 20 treatment) . A huge twig was even present...where the pollutants went before I installed the filter is anyone's guess? Toyota obviously believes Yaris drivers are made of sterner stuff (or poorer) and dont require silly things like air filters.

Cheers

Mark

You can buy these aftermarket pollen filters in victoria for around $40. Buzz me if you need them.

Hi Mate,

Where can I get one and also get it fixed?? Thanks.

You can get them from your local Repco, Ryco RCA140P. I don't think that the filter fits correctly but that is the recommended one.

Alternatively you can also get them from Europeans Auto Imports, Purflux AH160. I found that this brand fits perfectly.

If you have trouble getting them, i've also got some in my garage :).
