State of Origin nights are best as long as you dont want to see the footy.

Have known people to get 10+ runs on State of origin nights.

Thats not bad providing you don't break your car. haha.

I managed to get in 5 runs last time i want, It was a wed. and not overly crowded.

The second time I went to the drags, went straight from uni and was head of the que, got 11 runs in and went home as I was over it. It was basically do a run, collect slip, line up for about 2 min and run again. Didn't like that level of abuse on the clutch :(

I have no idea why it was so quiet that night either, just luck I guess.

Does everyone realise that the drags tomorrow night is an actual racing series with qualifying etc. and not just a test & tune night.

As it is a racing event, I'm going to have to give this a miss.

Saturday the 13th is a test & tune night which I would be keen to do.

I just got off the phone with Rowan. He had spoken with someone earlier and reckons that if you were still up to get some times, we can still go tonight before all the racing starts at 7pm. That's about the gist of it that I got from him. He just asked for me to post this to see if anyone is interested still for tonight. Either way, I think the two of us are going to head there to get some times.

I'm not sure how it all works... does anyone else.

On the site it said something like Vehicle Testing from lane 2. Would that be where we go?

I am deff. out for tonite, my sister dragged me on a random mission to bundaberg.

I am definately going later in the month, if anyone else wants to come.

Well, that was a fun couple of hours. That was my first time to race at the drags so it was definitely an experience for me.

On my first run, I didn't realise how grippy the track was and didn't really put my foot down at first. Rowan said that I should be able to plant it fine, so the times got better after. Unfortunately for me though, Rowan's last run beat me good, so I didn't quite come out of this as the winner amongst us two.

Anyways, these were my times:

Run 1: 14.629 @ 97.95mph, RT 1.058s

Run 2: 14.519 @ 98.17mph, RT 0.931s

Run 3: 14.397 @ 98.06mph, RT 0.690s

After that 3rd run, I was thinking of going for one more but it would have taken a while before I could do it. My brakes were feeling pretty crap anyways so it was probably best not to.

You'll need to wait to hear Rowan's figures.

was a really fun night i would have had more runs but they said 3 only cos of the event comeing up later that night but i think both me and daryl are very happy with our results ^_^ keeping in mind the claimed time for the TRD is 14.2 in wheels and 14.3 in motor......

Time: 14.290 (as is not stripped)

I think his reply may involve the letters 'Q' and 'R'.

Don't worry; if you're not willing to take it to the track, I'll set the benchmark for us Aurion's.

Posted

14.29, exceptional, and starting some trouble for me as bella is starting to really like blue aurions.

and well done to djkor for being right on rowáns tail

i was thinking, oh man, rowans run in the 13's (looking at daryls first post and waiting for 313), i'll have to concede to the greatness of the aurion, but alas no, there's still remains a glimmer of hope for me in the run criteria you set up for my lil stivo.

one one one, no disadvantage to the aurion that rowan has accepted, the aurion has the stivo in a straight line hands down. good result.
