I got a pdx 4.100 rated at 130 true rms, i wanna know what happens if i bridge my fronts (my backs are extremely crap) so its 260rms and its rated at 80rms, my mate has done it to his SPX-17PRO which is rated at 100 but hes got 400rms or 350rms going to it

It won't make a super dooper lot of difference, less gain to get you the same volume so theoretically less amplifier distortion. The power stage ends up working harder to counter the lower impedance, so it doesn't really change anything at all.

Wattage doesn't mean anything, it all comes down to how much gain you're running. You could have a ten thousand watt amplifier running into a 100W sub and wouldn't do any damage as long as you didn't turn it up too much.
