Sportivo gear ratios

G'day guys

I was thinking of buying a Sportivo in the future. I just wanted to know that, when doing 100kph, how many revs your doing in 6th gear. Is it 3000 revs like the standard 5 sp Corolla? Or are there lower gear ratios for power delivery.

yer i would say its more like 3200 at 100kmph

the celica has a taller 6th

it does rev quite alot

Correct.

Also driving down to the snow I got 450km using 40L so thats like an estimated 750ish km on a 60L tank freeway driving. But if you look through the forums there have been people who have done even better than that

3200 rpm on factory size tyres (195/55/r16)

With 205/50/r16 you sit at 3400 rpm at 100km/h in 6th gear.

Since Celica is taller it would sit lower (closer to 3000rpm)

But he never mentioned anything about the Celica

i'm just over 3100 as i run 205.55.16's

i'm not sure they are best looking tyre, a little fat, and they are a tad soft, but it gets the revs down, and that was a must.
