I'm happy to have these whenever everybody is ready ... No rush on my part :)

take all the time needed ... Last thing we'd want is to have incorrect fittings and measurements etc

sorry about this hose size issue

didn't know you guys have different hoses

I'll wait until you guys can confirm what inlet/outlet nozzle size you need for the 2zz

I've asked and1 already.

need a couple 2zz owners to measure it so we can make sure its 100% correct!

site never mentioned about colour coding so i highly doubt it.

the trademarks colours are the 1s on the left of the homepage

for the can colour... will let him know with all the measurements when we pay him..

if he doesn't do it.. pick the 1 you see from his site

also the japanese install guide says the hose ID for no.1 and no.3 are both 15mm (5/8")

No. 2 to No. 4 is where the oil cat can needs to sit between on a 2zz. If you undo the hose at no. 4, you'll notice some residue oil in the hose. Whereas No.3 won't have any oil in it.

No. 4 is about 21-22mm, someone needs to measure it exactly, as I have given up on trying to find hose that's 22mm and flexible.

I'll try to help out with the hose dimensions when i get a chance to go to my car.

Just to clarify, we need measurements for all 4 points in the attatchment image?

NOTE: this might be a noob question:...

What's the main purpose of the catch-can?

I was looking around on the net.. and still can't figure out whether i need one of these?

it separates the oil and air... and stores it... so whats the benefit? does the thing help to keep the engine run clean/cleaner ??

Normally that air/oil mixture is circulated back through the throttle body through into the intake manifold, back into the engine and burning oil is a no no.

So catch can separates the oil so that only the air goes back through.

So yes you're right. Engine runs cleaner and potentially you can make a little bit (not noticible) more power by running cleaner and not burning oil.

Here are pics of my set up

DSC_0076.jpg

I used a 8mm hose from the pcv but I'd use a 9mm because it was so hard to get a 8mm on.

DSC_0077.jpg

As you can see the hose on this side is huge (top hose) as some one said before 21-22mm.

Feel free to ask questions..

Awww man. and here I measured all 4 pipes. ahhh well here are the dimensions that I got. Use the image as a reference from xploshun

1: 14.07 mm : hose 13.5mm

2: 9.03 mm : hose 8.01 mm

3: 19.04 mm : hose 18.6 mm

4: 21.74 mm : hose 21.06 mm

first number is the measurement of the nose on the engine

second number is the inner diameter of the hose. I just measured this just in case lol

thx for the photos and1 and azzman for the measurements

so what do guys want?

a 21mm valve on the CAN? to match no.4? but i was told that a hose that big will be too hard to use

do you want to get 9mm valve on the can instead and get a adapter (9==>21) to connect it to the no.4

im shocked that its really that big!

its even bigger than 2JZ engines... but the other end is only 9mm.
