2005 Sportivo Gear Shift

Recommended Posts

i have an '05 stivo... had a few probs getting into 3rd at high revs at first, but i think its jst a matter of getting used to the gearbox as other members have mentioned..

after a being a bit more conscious about my 3rd gear shift, it seems to slide in perfect.

so yeh.. think jst a matter of getting used to the stivo gbox

(ps: i kno this is an old post being resurrected.. but was jst browsing thru forum on a bored lunch break hehe.. )

I've had a few issues with 2-3 shifts in the first day or two as well.

For me it was just like alot of the other members here....getting used to the car.

I only mainly drive the car on the weekends so it will take me a little longer to sort it out exactly.

Practice makes perfect!

Dont worry guys I am and still experiencing a stiffness in gear changes from 2nd to 3rd. Like you said its because we are still getting use to the Sportivo gearbox

and also because the car is still brand new.

Once it wears in a little at around the 5,000km mark it will be perfect! :D

My 03 is booked in Friday 17th to get the 1st to 2nd gear change fixed.

Like everyone else, over 7,000 rpm I cant select second gear... although second to third is fine.

If they don't fix it it will keep going back under warranty until it is fixed.

Love having a warranty on the car... love it!

Robby,

Yes! Ask them to perform the 'Field Fix' for the clutch adjustment. Get them to also do the selector cables at the same time if it has not already been done.

Cheers

Sorry guys I didnt think I was posting a repeated topic as I was only really checking with the facelift 2005 owners.

I couldnt really find any info on the 05 stivos gear shift posted as yet. My apologies if I missed something.

Yes. That is right. I support this! If you find the topic has been posted, just friendly refer them to the old one. Everyone could miss something! Especially for these new members B)
