and replaced DRL's from 6 LED to 8 SMD LED, much more brighter during the day and need to straighten one of them lol

Next 2 weeks will be getting new tail-lights installed

Keeps people guessing what car it is

Just trying to keep it a little different from other aurions

Inside is completely stock, just been focusing on the outside with whatever time & $$$ I have

one day I shall change interior lighting, speakers, wire up my nexus 7... along those lines lol slow and steady so I dont get bored

ah lol

you can open up the tail light assembly? I saw 2 screws, but then it looked like the tail light assembly was glued shut

if you could open it i would like to make the LED lines brighter!!!

or make the non-functioning parts darker so the LED lines stand out

:)

My thoughts exactly ! simply painting the insides black would accomplish just that.

I'd say the LED being used would be cheaper vishays or similar. These draw less amps and volts compared to say Cree's. The more volts and amp draw usually converts to brightness. Upgrading us usually a pretty easy thing to do.

Unfortunately you gotta cut em open from the rears. Easy enuf to do.

I think they look great the way they are tho :)

thinking of getting rims fixed up due to paint coming off and kerb rash

also thinking of re-painting them a very very shiny gloss black inc the lip, everything gloss black

any thoughts???

If you can get your hands on a TIG you can repair gutter rash's your self . Very simple job to do. Or just have them ruff welded and then you can diy grind sand polish buff yourself. Lemme know if you want me to post up a diy guide.

Gloss black looks amazing in RL but never seems to show up nice in pics. Cams just don't pu the detail and gloss.

$200 of my coilover money gone :(

last night teens smashed driver's side, rear 1/4 glass, just to steal a bag with my licence, pieces of paper and photos

they returned the bag to the front door of my gf house where it happened this morning wtf!!!

but still pockets $200 less

This is why we can't have nice things!!! LOL

anyways haha

I can follow a guide easy enough, but practically im no good at DIY lol results are different haha

yep was thinking hard, will go all gloss black, i like seeing white cars with black rims goes well for me

waiting for a few quotes here, gonna do this mod before coil-overs

okay quote from one place in perth, malaga area, $200 per wheel to:

1. fix kerb rash

2. paint wheels gloss black inside and out

3 fit and balance wheels

yay or nay?

still waiting on another place to get back to me via email

How much did the wheels cost originally? And how bad is the gutter rash. If you were to do all 4 thats well on the way to a brand new set of something.

I must say though, those wheels really suite your current setup

$2500 from bob janes

i ashamed if you could take a closer look at the wheels

yeah thinking of getting xxr 521's

at least 4 people have had the geneva equus on theirs lol

cant go wrong with them

major mods are on halt for now ie coilovers, big brakes, new wheels

helping bro with a possible purchase

then i get to drive it too :D

FRONTS 20x8.5 offset +38mm w/ 245/30/20 tyres, pretty much the same as current front wheels

here is the dilemma

REARS

20x10 offset +25 or +38 w/ 255/30/20 tyres

I am currently on pedders springs, stock shocks

now to make these fit with either offsets I would have to change suspension, im thinking of coilovers, get my rear guards rolled and some -ve camber

yay or nay?

also which offset would be best?

I could go 20x8.5 rears too but i would like somewhat more of a concave appearance at the rear

any advise appreciated

Nice rims :D

Is it the hell flush look? will look good with more drop and camber. Deff's keep the dish on the rear.

Thanks, Yep :)

I'll try fit them under the guards, will do a test fitment when I save a little more

okay after finding a very informative thread on another Toyota site

I have decided

Fronts 20x8.5 et +38mm w/ 245/30 tyres

Rears 20x10 et +25mm w/ 255/30 tyres

(ET +25mm for room to camber so wheels don't hit struts,

255/30 tyres as it will be a daily drive until I find another daily drive vehicle for work)

with the rears I will need to

1. roll the guards,

2. -ve camber so the wheels fit into the guards,

3. coil-overs to stiffen up the ride and provide more room than spring/shocks

only 1 more month to go :)

thanks for viewing

EDIT

Playing it safe so to get wider wheels at the back will be moving down to 19", same wheels

FRONTS 19x8.5 +35mm 245/35

REARS 19x9.5 +40mm 245/35

Roll Rear Guards

Small amount of Camber

Coil overs later

dam the rear tyres are abit high go 245 width as well

hi

thx for the input :)

I was thinking that too cos 245mm = 9.645 inches, close enough to 10" if you round off haha

as mentioned it will be a daily till i can find another car for work

I don't want to be scrubbing or at least keep it as little as possible

im running 245 on the 10" rear . slight slight stretch not extreme enough for it to be a daily.

also depends how low you go as well . are you planning on going lower than the springs you've got at the moment ?

I'll be on coilovers but I think I will stay the same height, currently 20x8.5 et +38mm 245/30 tyres all around and havent had any problems

Its like 110mm between ground and lowest point of the car at the front and 130mm at the back

pretty much the aim is to fit the wheels

without getting pulled over and defected by tucking them in with some camber and

a good setup so it can be driven daily no dramas ie too much scrubbing

thx for the insights :)
