Ok so i have tried... Super Cheap Auto, Auto Pro, Jay Car, Coventry's and TOYOTA.... NOT ONE HAS A SWITCH TO FIT!!!! (iam shocked not even toyota supply a switch to fit their on FN vehicle )

I need a Rocker switch to fit the switch panel on the right hand side of the dash just behind the steering wheel that provides an ON/OFF/ON or ON/ON

Could someone please tell me what and where i can get one or if not to much trouble purchase & send me the switch and i will reimburse them the full cost plus 10% interest!!

The OEM design switches that are purpose built to fit those panel blanks are push button switches only with either a momentary on or a ON/OFF toggle. They will also come labelled for a specific purpose. You can keep searching day and night for a specific one that mates your description, but the road is going to be a long one that may or may not have an end.

It doesn't surprise me that Toyota don't even have the type of switch you are after. It's not something they are required to make.

that sucks balls.... my idea was foot-well lighting on a on/off/on to be able to have the lights on or set to dome (secondary on), might have to use the soldering iron to melt it back to suit a 44mm switch *sigh*

A large rocker switch is going to be rather 'firm' so to speak. You want a switch that is light to the touch... but I'm being pretty picky here.

Think a bit more realistically. How often do you think you are really going to switch between the different states? I use a ON-OFF-ON switch set exactly like the dome light and find that it says on the 'DOOR' setting 95% of the time. The only time I switch it is because I don't want it on (leaving doors open when cleaning) or if I need to turn it on to find something I dropped. Because of that, I placed the switch were it is still easy to access, but it is relatively hidden. In the forward position it is set to 'DOOR' since that's where it spends most of it's time, so angled forward helps hide the switch in more, and when it is flicked backwards, it is set to 'ON':

Further more not all the rocker switches are the same shape. there is one available for the landcruiser but it's hell expensive! there is a Narva one that fits in the Aurion However, just not sure of it's number now though sorry.

Hi METAL 13,in regards to your switch you are chasing have a look at the NARVA range.Just google NARVA and then click on what ever type of switch suits your fancy wether its a toggle,rocker,push-pull switch.They have a beaut range,top OEM quality,looks factory,they state the measurements in relation to the switch.Doubt very much if you will get one from the likes of Supercheap Autos,try a reputable mob such as Bursons or even Auto Electricians as they tend to use products that wont come back and bite them on the ar*e,you wont be disappointed.Look on the net and you be the final judge,Cheers hope I was of some help,CONROD

CONROD - Yea i checked with the Narva, Hella and a couple other catalogs at Coventrys and Jaycar - Their Catalogs dont have a switch that fits the small odd sized panel that toyota so kindly provides....lol

DJKOR - Thanks for the photo, i might have to bite the bullet and go with what you have done! I was just hoping i could aim for a neat switch like i had in my 2000 camry... <-- I had the DVD head unit setup to earth with handbrake or bypass handbrake and go straight to the earth allowing video whilst driving ( kept it in with the legality's ;) )
