If you drew a perfect circle that went through the centre of each of your wheel nuts on the front of your wheel, that's the PCD or pitch circle diameter. The offset is more difficult to explain, but basically its a relationship between the face of your wheel and the centre of the rim ... for example, the deep dish rims you see on street machines have a negative offset, because the face of the rim is actually behind the center of the rim.

If anyone can explain it better, please feel free! :D

If you take the rim off and look on the inside you will see a small plate with all the information on it (conversely you could also look at the spare which doesn't require you taking the wheel off :P)

Where's the fun in Googling, when you can just try and stretch your brain long after you really should have been in the land of nod? :P

Besides, I was on the right track, kinda sorta, and I did say that if anyone knew better, they were welcome to demonstrate, which you kindly did! :)

And Azza, don't look upon Xoom slashing your tyres as vandalism, look upon it as an opportunity to put together a consumer article comparing repairing your current tyre versus your options in buying a new one. See, everybody happy! B)
