Was looking at my Rolla yesterday and was shocked.

One of my headlights is pretty much a completely different colour to the other?!

Tried to scratch it off but it didn't do a think.

It dosen't really look like oxidation, its more of a fade I think.

Any tips on how to cure this?

Cheers

3M headlight resto kit sh!ts on anything else out there..

http://solutions.3m.com/wps/portal/3M/en_US/3MAutomotive/Aftermarket/Products/Featured_Products/Headlight/

Available at some Autobarn stores, or contact your local 3M stockists.

3 grades of sanding papers, foam pad, drill bit backing plate, and polish all in one kit, approx AU28-30 bucks.

If you cant get one let me know and i can pick one up for you.

I Suggest you use either Meguiers heavy duty or Mothers Powerball 4 Headlight Headlight restoration kit. :)

I know the Meguiars H-D works well as i have seen others use it..

So going to have a shot at that and will let you all know tonight.

If it dosent work ill try and grab some of the above

Keep you posted.

I would hesitate to use a solvent based polish for chrome. May be ok initially, but those solvents can cause damage in the long run. I wouldnt risk it but thats up to you.

Thanks for the tip mate.

I'll do a spot test in the corner first and see how it goes from there

Will post up pics in about in a couple of hours

Fingers crossed (:

Bit of chrome polish - Mothers

And a bit of Cut and Polish - Kitten

Come up pretty decent, of course not perfect, but it'll do I think.

Attached is a before and after shot

Opinions?
